Sounds like a lovely night Qwerty. Lovely photos.

Feels quite mild this morning, but no idea what the forecast is.

Hubby stopped at the garage for fuel on our way home yesterday,
and don't know what made me think about it, but i said,
can you remember when we used to have pump attendants.
Those were the days he said.

          Good morning.
Late night for you Qwerty and you too Oma judging by the time of your post.Hope you both had some good sleep eventually. Thanks for photos Qwerty.
Usual weather report--fine and sunny here. I think it is pretty general so I hope you all enjoy it.
A longish walk for us today I think as we have been a bit slack and only going out for half an hour or so when it's been raining or wet under foot.
Yesterday I took down my runner bean and sweet pea plants so that was a good job done.Lots of leaves etc.to sweep up,perhaps this afternoon.
          Have a happy Sunday everyone

Good Sunday morning, everyone. Nanto - I'm a bit worried about the snowmen in your graphic - I hope they're not heading this way!

Qwerty - what a lot of adventures in one evening. It was nice of the bus driver to take you further to your car. Reading that, and Enfys' comments about her day our at a local motorcycle museum and lunch at a seafront restaurant is making me think OH and I need to do more gadding about in our local area! Much easier for us now we can take Eva out and about without her freaking out when she sees another dog.

Zizi - your butcher sounds a real treasure, and well worth going back to. I'm sure so much of the meat we buy is pumped so full of chemicals it's not good for us. I buy Eva's meat from a specialist dog food supplier who only has organic, locally sourced meat from carefully selected abbatoirs and it often looks much better than ours!

Clover - we need to make the most of good weather at this time of year - enjoy your walk.

It's a nice fine day again, so after I've cleared up after last night (it was a late night, but good fun) I want to clean out the greenhouse ready for the tender plants to go in.

            Have a good day everyone.

              Good morning everyone.

Even though OH and I are Yorkshire born and bred, we love the frozen Yorkshire puds I have to say I have had several far inferior home made ones in restaurants!
Wow, Qwerty, that sounds a lovely day and evening.
It must have been nice to have pump attendants Nan2! I have only been driving 13 years, so have never experienced that.

Party day for GD went very well yesterday. Party with 5 school friends in the daytime, family and oldest friends at night. The baby loved the evening too (until he was whisked off to bed, to his disgust ) He is a social animal!

Karate for GD this morning. OH, my mum and I are going over for a birthday tea this afternoon and to see the presents. It's a busy business, being 8!

              Have a good day everyone

Gem - I've noticed children's birthdays seem to last longer these days. but I'm sure your GD will have enjoyed every minute of the week-end and will go to school on Monday full of all the exciting things she's done. Well done to you GS2 for keeping going - babies are amazing when they enjoy the part so much they forget to get tired. I hope he slept well.

                  Afternoon ladies ,
Gem I think all Birthdays seem to last longer , young ones seem to celebrate all week

Clover I got back to bed at 5.50 and slept till 7.45 so not too bad for me ,

Went to B&M this morning needed more tile grout and came out with a new roller blind for the loo we doing out , its Black with silver squares on the bottom , I didn't intend getting it but it was only £8.99 . I was just going to tart up the white one I have with maybe a printing stamp but to be honest it was cheaper to buy new one , its only small about 2ft wide ,

Travelled 7 mile to nearest Screw fix for new valves for new Towel radiator came home and passing the industrial estate not 5 mins from us only to discover a Screw fix had opened up yesterday there , it hasn't been advertised or we would have gone to that one ,
I actually thought I was seeing things ,I said to B I'm sure that was Screw fix and he said no it cant be so we turned around to check , its not even on there web site yet , oh well we know now

I intended getting all the leaves up today I keep looking at them but that's all I'm doing , I just cant motivate myself so I will just keep looking hahaha

Oma I would have been gutted if that happened to me, I would have had to lay down in a darkened room, but blind sounds a bargain, we are looking for a blind for one of the bathrooms that has a wooden Venetian blind, cleaning it is a nightmare, the other has vertical blinds I have to have one of everything 😉

Hope all all is going well at the party for T Gem , 8 yrs old I can remember her being born , hope there's lots of cake and candles and a drop of something more alcoholic for the grown ups.

Oh how I wish we had attendants now I hate putting petrol in get OH to do it if I can, I would pay extremely for the privilege 😜

Daisy - you get out much more than me, I only go when prompted by DD and it's something special but yes we should get out more you feel that life is passing you by if you don't

Clover- it was a late night g/d couldn't believe she was going to bed on a different day to when she got up lol , hope you have enjoyed your Sunday

Oma she is like her mummy and DD is like me and I see my mum in me now not sure I like that 😀

I love blinds but they seem to be a mixed blessing, especially as far as keeping them clean. OH bought one for his study about 2 years ago. It's still in its box!!!

Oma - just celebrate that you wo't have to travel so far to get to Screwfix in future. It's my OH' spiritual home!!!

I'm just off out to clear out the greenhouse and enjoy the sunshine. We walked Eva in the paddock this morning and it was beautiful. We sat on the bench for a while and the sun was lovely on our faces. I'm just hoping we get this weather next week when we're away.

Well I didn't get the leaves up but I did get all my windows and frames cleaned outside ,and hosed the patio down ,
Then I filled a bucket with soapy water and used the soft sweeping brush to wash all the spiders webs from the fences and shed ,
We get lots of tree spiders and their webs are very sticky , you cant just wipe them off they have to be washed off , some days the fence looks like they have lacy white blankets on them ,
I will get the leaves up tomorrow

Pleased the birthday weekend was a success and that your mum enjoys the tea today Gemini.

Spent the morning in the garden planting pansies and tulip bulbs, family were outside putting BBQ to bed and the stored the garden furniture in the cabin.

Up until a year ago we had an attendant at one of our petrol stations, he always filled my car for me, then they revamped the garage and added a small Waitrose and he vanished.

Lovely sunny day here today. Popped out this morning to get a few pansies/violas to fill some gaps in my tubs. B & Q had 20% off all plants so got a bargain. All,planted up and looking good. Then I did some sewing this afternoon whilst DH was working on his model boat! Don't ask .

just enjoyed a delicious meal courtesy of M & S ...their dine in for £10, lovely chicken.

Spunds like we've all been busy, hope we all sleep well tonight 😴

                              A busy.day all round.
We had a lovely walk in warm sunshine. We met so many people out with their dogs of all shapes and sizes.
I then did an "Oma" and cleaned the paintwork on the porch and cleaned the downstairs windows.
I never seem to have much luck with pansies. They always seem to get some disease. They are so pretty. I must try again.
