Good morning Mimi, Nan2 and all our readers
Mimi, be very careful of that iron!
Off to the Emmerdale Studios today! DD2 made us a voucher for this a while ago, so we just book and she will pay. Today, both being unsually free on a Tuesday, seemed a good day to go.
DD1 and family are on holiday in Yorkshire, I'm hoping they get some good weather for their week as it didn't begin too well, weatherwise. They are in a lovely cottage with a really nice welcome food pack, including home made Victoria sponge cake, and a bottle of wine so that was good!
Have a good day everyone.βA grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.β β Unknown

Good moaning each,
I have surfaced after another weekend of GCs. Only two slept this time but everyone appeared for breakfast on Sunday. All appeared yesterday but it was a fairly brief visit.
I must do gardening today, lots of plants seem to have got a second wind but still dead heading to do but I need motivation. Iβm off to find some.
Have a good day all.Women are like tea bags; you never know how strong they are until they are put in hot water.

Feels a bit warmer today, the sun has just come out.
All jobs done.Shopping arrived at 9, so that is all put away.

Gem, hope the Emmerdale visit goes well.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Oh dear - it's very worrying, all that waving about of hot hissy things.Mimi - are you still with us?
My weather forecaster guru says he thinks the rumoured heatwave is unlikely, although obviously forecasts get less accurate the further they go.
Grauntie - did you dead head? I hope you had time to put your feet up after such a busy week-end.
Gem - I hope DD1 & Co are having a good time, whatever the weather.
Nanto - how I would love to say (truthfully!) "all jobs done" I never seem to get to that stage.
It's been a busy day for me with the GDs and Cooper, but quite productive. Some time ago OH made them wooden pencil pots and they put a coat of pain on them, but for some reason they decided they wanted to repaint them. So OH sanded the paint off and I rubbed them down with very fine sandpaper to give them a nice smooth surface - and they both helped with this. Then they painted them - one pale blue and the other quite a bright pink. GD2 especially was fascinated by putting her pot on my lazy susan and being able to turn it round as she painted it. After lunch GD2 drew a picture on hers, but decided not to paint it, and GD1 did a sweet design of flowers round the bottom and birds flying all round near the top. They were both pleased with their efforts. They also enjoyed helping me to feed a neighbours cats. I took them home about 5.30, very tired but pleased with their efforts.

All went well at the dental hospital. Had a soft plastic guard type thing to wear at night on my bottom teeth. Seems that my jaw pain is caused by clenching my teeth. The consultant is referring me to physio'...to teach me exercises for the jaw.
Hopefully taking DD1 & GSs to seaside tomoro before the end of the Summer holidays. A very early start so I'd best try to get to bed. Will try to reply to other posts later on in the week."Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."

Hi and goodnight everyone
I wrote about my Emmerdale trip in the travel section. Talk to you all tomorrow
Sweet dreams
Portmerrion is fab QwertyIt has a special place in my heart as OH and I were on our way there 9 years ago when DD phoned to tell me the baby she was expecting was a girl, I was so overcome with joy and emotion to have a GD I couldn't speak. I think OH wondered what on earth had been said to me on the phone! Happy memories

Good morning everyone.
Oma, good to hear you don't feel too bad this morning. Take it easy today though!
Dentist for me this morning. I am slightly concerned as to what she will say about my broken tooth! I broke part of it on an unpopped popcorn kernel months ago, and a couple of weeks ago another bit broke off, whilst eating cucumber!! I don't know there is enough to save, and I can't imagine it being at all easy to extract. I hope she can patch it for now at least.
Nicer things going on later. Tonight I am seeing an open air showing of the first Harry Potter film. This was originally to be GD, DD2, GD's Gran and me. However, GD got a better offer (camping in Wales) so it is just we 3 ladiesDD is bringing us all a picnic, a thank you for our babysitting duties.

Good morning everyone. No lie in for me this morning. The garage is coming to collect OH's car for servicing and MOT in a few minutes. Fingers crossed it's ok.
Qwerty - I'm, sure you'll love Portmeirion - I do hope the sun shines for you. On a nice day you can imagine you're in Italy, with fantastic blue skies and the sea shimmering far below. What a pity about the parking ticket - the NW Police are also hot on speeding, I'm afraid, but glad you enjoyed some fresh air on the Great Orme.Gem - what a lovely memory to have about Portmeirion.
Nana - glad the hospital appointment went well. Have a lovely day with the GCs at the seaside.
Nanto - yes, I think the girls enjoyed their art work! It was a lovely afternoon and we sat out in the garden painting.
Oma - I'm glad you feel better than you expected after your flying acrobatics yesterday, but for goodness sake be careful today. Some of those shops can be very dangerous - and not just on your purse! xx
It looks as though it rained quite hard overnight, but the sun's trying to break through, so I'm hoping it will be a nice day. For once, we've got nothing special planned. There's a pile of clothes waiting for the hot hissy thing, but I'm not risking that!!!! I might do some painting (on paper, not walls!) and give Eva an extra long walk.
