Sounds as if it is worth a try Enfys.

Well what else would you do for GC's tea Oma.

Fine here atm, off to Aqua soon, if it is still fine when I get back I will try to do some gardening, wallflowers to put in.

Hope your cold is under control Gemini.

      Good morning everyone.

I hope you get your gardening done Nan2
Nice to see the GC Oma!
Have a nice lunch Clover, whatever you choose
I hope that works for your OH Enfys.
Cold not so bad Plant, thanks.

A dry sunny morning here. OH is just leaving for golf in Driffield, so I hope it's as nice there!

Mum and I are visiting my sister this afternoon. One of her main carers has a business making lovely scented candles. I have ordered 4 Christmas ones from her, and will collect those today when we visit.

We found out yesterday that our tenants will be moving out in November Lovely news for them as it means they have found the right house to buy. Not so good for us, as it is a difficult time of year to get tenants, and until we do that is my income, apart from a tiny amount from my reflexology, out of the window

Good morning, everyone. Nanto - I love your wild and windy graphic! We are basking in glorious sunshine - honestly! I didn't wake up till nearly 9 am this morning, and have just had breakfast. So it's going to be quite a short day. I've got a load of dog towels on - they should dry nicely outside - and am going to do some gardening. The housework can wait.

Oma - that's my 'go to' tea when I've got all the grandchildren round, except one doesn't like baked beans so has peas instead! Hope the hospital goes well.

Clover - quqite a busy day for you, but much easier when it's dry and sunny.

Enfys - The diabetes device sounds good if it avoids constant finger pricks to check glucose levels. If it does work I would think it would eventually save the NHS money because people wouldn't suffer the complications of not managing their diabetes properly.

Plant - the self scan thing sounds easy - I just don't trust myself to get it right! Does it give you a read out as you go along so you can see if you've scanned something twice, or do you have to check it at the checkout?

Daisy, it totals it up as you go along, and you can go back and delete anything you mistakenly scan more than once. A nice young man gave us a short tutorial yesterday

Oma , fish finger sandwiches ... ultimate comfort food.
Gem, I love scented candles as one of my previous posts will prove. How is your cold ?

Just having a quick catch up on here and then its off to pack, have some soup and crusty rolls for lunch then pop our cat to the cattery where she will be staying for a few days till we get back. OH will fret and worry about her if past experience is anything to go by.
Then as DS and DIL live so close we are going round there for tea , then its home for OH to watch the football and I will go and unpack to check that I have remembered everything and then re pack again. ( Can't help myself, I do it every time )
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Gem - sorry, I didn't see you first post this morning until I'd posted. I hope your sister is well settled in her new home now - it's been a few months hasn't it? What a pity your tenants are moving. I hope you find someone quickly.

Oh dear, I'll have to give this self-scanning thing a try - although I don't think they do it in Sainsbury's?

Afternoon / Evening fellow members, I had a day off from everything yesterday including GRU needed a bit of recuperating apart from the odd chore.

Today we each had a check up at dentist all was well always glad when that's over ,apart from the fact that when they say see you in 6 mths you realise how time flies it will be April 2018 😱

This afternoon I had my nails done as a reward for being so brave at the dentistπŸ˜‰ followed with a few chores nothing too taxing.

We are out for tea tonight have a coupon for BOGOF can't let a situation go like that , just the 2 of us .

Lots of doctor and hospital appointments today for you folk, OH had a telephone chat with his doc she's double his pills as he didn't think they were doing any good and neither did I πŸ™„

Those on holiday or going have a grand time I missed Glam sorry 😏

Will be out most of the day tomorrow buying bedding towels and placemats they all seem to get tatty at the same time, maybe lunch out again who knows πŸ˜ƒ

Oh and poorly folk with colds there is nothing worse than feeling ill with one , remember when we used to work with them ! I can't move from my bed when I start, just don't come near me 😷🀧

Gem I wish my renters next door would b****r off , yesterday the child next door threw 40 yes 40 large pebbles the size of your hand thick too over the fence onto the lawn we knew nothing about it till the father came round with a bucket, why weren't they watching him he's only 9 it takes a long time to throw that amount over the wall, we found one on the floor near the kitchen window and two in front of the conservatory how they didn't break the window I don't know.

Might do some Xmas shopping tomorrow too πŸ›πŸŽ

Lovely holidays to those going away, feeling slightly envious.

Hope the poorly ones are feeling better.

Whatever were the parents doing not to notice their 9 year old throwing large pebbles into your garden Qwerty, they were lucky not to be replacing windows, I hope the father apologised and he made the child pick them up.

Had a cup of tea with a neighbour this afternoon, we sat on her garden swing in the warm sunshine, it was very enjoyable.

Hope you enjoy your BOGOF Qwerty

                            Hello again..

Good news about 3 weeks hospital free Oma

                            Happy holiday WG!

                            Tea out Qwerty,. How nice!

All well with my sister we had a nice visit. Got mum her fish and chips (childs portion ) as we usually do on the way back, so left I her happily munching at home.

My next door neighbour came knocking on my door at lunch time to ask if we had seen their cat. Sooty. They hadn't seen him for 48 hours. I gave him my stock advice of not to give up and what things to do next. I did say I would check our garage, shed and greenhouse too, but as OH is always in and out of them I didn't really hold out much hope.
I opened the garage side door, and out ran a complaining black cat! I popped round next door to check he had run home, and he had. Very relieved owner, He said his wife hadn't slept the night before due to worrying, They recently got a 2nd cat and they thought he had taken offence and moved out! I advised him to\ text her straight away to put her out of further misery. So like Glammas story another happy ending

Had rather a purse punishing day. Just as we were about to go out a man cold called to clean the gutters, fascia and pvc frames etc. We've had him before so agreed to have it done there and then so I had to find the cash to pay him. Also all the windows are streaked with water so need a window cleaner now.We had to catch a later bus but everything does look clean and fresh now,
In to town and the few things in Wilko turned into quite a few.
New glasses were ordered for OH so the plastic had to come out again.
Still we had our crusty bread, butter and strawberry jam tea so it's not all bad.
