No Mimi not in September go and cut the wires while it is dark or trip their fuse box!!

Well my BMW went in for the repair and I got this absolutely Bruddy enormous, very beautiful Jaguar. Took me ages to sort out the seat settings, ages to sort out how to get the thing going and more even ages to reverse park it outside my house with all the taxis crammed in there! Anyway it has gone now and my BMW is back. I did not like the Jag. It's twiddly bits were not interesting enough although I did like the cameras all around the car but unfortunately did not have time to fiddle with them or watch the soaps which I am sure must have been on there if I had looked hard enough.

Tomorrow I have to finish a presentation for year 5 children for Tuesday and then finish my speech for a meeting on Wednesday. It is regarding homelessness and getting homeless people into work. Thursday I am meeting someone from the met police regarding their young offenders programme and Friday I am at a meeting from 8am in central London for a charity called CRASH, which I have worked with for many years. BUT I have been practicing this week in readiness for four day week working. I have been turning my work laptop and phone off at 6pm and not putting them back on until 8am. I am finding it difficult but I need to do it otherwise there is no point in only being paid four days is there? Monday is my first day off under my new work regume. Husband is off shift so we are going out fir the day.

Zizi - well done on parking the Jag - they're huge! The ones I've been in (not many!) have seemed very cramped inside for the size of them!

Even more well dones for switching your devices off at 6 pm - more people should do that to stop work taking over their lives. Have a great day out on Monday - you've both earned it. xxx

Good morning ladies. Another mild start to the day. Yesterday was lovely in the sun.

Qwerty, traffic in Sheffield can be a nightmare, especially if it is at peak times.
          Will catch up here later.

It is chucking it down here as it did yesterday for most of the day. I meant to put the garden bin out this morning, the usually come around 8am but the beggars have just turned up. There is only one more collection before the winter so I had better remember or I will have to put all the dirty garden stuff into my pristine car and take it to the dump, I hate going to the dump it is always so busy and they have thes jobsworths on the gate Nd if they don't like what you have got they make you turn around, no wonder there is so much rubbish around.

              Good morning!

I too am speechless about the Christmas lights!!

It was lovely having DD3 here last night even though she wasn't well. Not sure if she will go to work today. She seems to have cold now on top of the sickness bug she had.
Just GS2 for the day today, as GD is going to the monthly after school film club.

              HAPPY FRIDAY everyone

Morning cherubs a lousy day here, sort of busy day, food shopping, housework then picking eldest sweet pea up for sleepover, mum is having a well earned night out sil working away as usual 😒 She didn't go on the last 2 night outs said they would stop asking her if she didn't make the effort this time, it's school friends so friends for many years so I don't begrudge it
Oh lovely graphic Nan2 , enjoy your day be it good or mediocre and don't forget to put up your Xmas lights lol
Gem hope DD is feeling better just don't you catch it 🤧🤢

Good morning everyone. I love the graphic too.

We had a lot of rain overnight, so the garden is too wet to work on, but I can clear out the greenhouse if the rain holds off. We had about 5 minutes of sun and now it's dark and dreary again!

Qwerty - your DD's right. It's so easy to drop out of these social things if you keep saying 'no'. I've missed a couple of get togethers with my college friends over the summer, and I happened to see the friend who organises us in the garden centre yesterday. She totally understands, but she was quite keen to pin me down for the next meet up, bless her.

Gem - I do hope your DD is feeling better. Enjoy your day with GS2.

Zizi - all this rain is driving me mad! I hate going to the dump too, but to be fair OH usually does it, and I know yours can't. I agree - people are fly tipping all over the place because it's such a hassle to do it properly. Although, our local tip isn't too bad, and OH knows the man in charge so he's quite helpful.

If the weather doesn't shape up I'm going to do some of the dreaded housework today! We've got the girls tomorrow for a few hours, so I need to get a bit organised. Their mum and dad are going somewhere secret (secret from the girls)!!!

Well ive done all the paint works hoovered and cleaned glass tables but not doing windows yet as have dog for a few hours
DD has taken GS1 to A&E still no word on hand clinic and hes been up with pain all night so quicker to go down and be seen there ,

B off for the day with his Army palls today ,his two cousins who served with him are picking him up at 11 so once the dogs gone home I should have some time to myself unless GS1 wants to stay when he gets back from Hospital

                      Awful rain indeed Oma!
DD has gone to work, but says she may leave early and has cancelled her plans for this evening. She said it was lovely to be at Mummys House when she was poorly
GS2 is sitting beside me watching his beloved Peppa Pig and having a snack. As we don't have GD to collect from school this would have been a good day to go out, but I doubt we will unless the weather changes dramatically!

So much for a quiet day Oma! I hope he's in less pain now.
GS is peacefully napping. Typically the rain has finally stopped and sun is now out, now he is in his cot!

We have had rain threatening all day but I have been in sunroom this afternoon, with the door shut I must add. We keep getting heavy rain overnight and reasonable days. Went to Macmillan coffee morning today, would have been rude not to have a cake. then did a shop at Waitrose, my friendly Big Issue lady helps me put it in the car and returns my trolley, I give her a pound, she knows me now, recognises the car, she knows who my DD is and SIL are.
English is quite good now, she has a good pitch at the back of Waitrose on the edge of the car park.

Hope J's thumb is less painful now it is in a splint Oma.

We had heavy rain this morning, but it was sunny this afternoon.
