Hi again, fab breakfast out, and I bought a dress on the way home with some holiday money!
OH bought me a voucher for the alpaca experience, so we will choose when to go. It is in Yorkshire Grauntie

Gem - there is an alpaca farm fairly near here in Dorset and they take the animals to visit care homes. There was an item on them in Countryfile earlier this year, and the alpacas happily stand in the lift to go upstairs, and the residents love them. In fact the father of a friend of ours was on the Countryfile item, and he said how much he'd enjoyed their visit. They were so gentle and patient (no spitting!). Inevitably it was asked what happens when the want to 'go' and the handler said she can tell and gets them outside quickly!! Enjoy your evening. xx

It's a gorgeous, beautiful sunny day here and, lucky me, I've cleaned the caravan (the price of not doing it properly after the last trip!) and swept the front drive. Not much else really, just pottering. I seem to spend a lot of time doing that but it's nice to have a lazy day!

Funny old day here! Was up late after a hectic day helping at my church's inauguration service with another church yesterday. I'm getting too old to be running around and being nice to people!! Anyway we went out for a very nice meal last night which saved on the cooking front.
Pushed the sucky-up thing around downstairs and waved a yellow cloth around then felt the need to sit down in the sun for a while.
DB phoned so had a nice chat to him. He finally retires at the end of this month after trying out part-time work. He sounds quite happy about the prospect!
I suppose I should go and get some dinner organised....beef stroganoff and rice which won't take that long to do followed by local strawberries and meringues....and maybe a bit of ice cream too!

Well the sun came out eventually and it was quite warm.
Washed a couple of hubby's thick shirts and they dried lovely.

Came to bed early tonight, as it was a 4.30 start for me. So, the blackout blind wasn't as sucessful as I'd hoped. I just wanted to roll over & sleep. When I saw her beautiful little face smiling up at me though all was well with the world. ❤

WeeGranny - I'm glad your church's inauguration with the other church went smoothly. It must be quite hard to integrate the two congregations with each other - I hope they don't stay in their little cliques. I know what you mean about not wanting to run round looking after people any more!!! It always makes me smile that our local parish organise lunches in the church rooms for elderly residents - and most of the ladies doing the cooking are well into their 70s or even 80s!!! I think they deserve medals.

The beef stroganoff sounds delicious - I hope you've got a relaxing day tomorrow to recover from the sucky up thing!

Nana - I do hope you sleep well tonight after such an early start! No matter how black the blackout blinds are little rays of light still seem to seep in to the bedroom, don't they, and of course the birds are up and singing their heads off instead of quietly getting on with their breakfasts.

We've got an early start tomorrow - OH has a 9 am appointment at the dentists. I need to finish packing the caravan (hoping that the consultant says it's ok for OH to go away!) then off to collect GD2 from playgroup. OH has to be at the hospital at 2.45, so goodness knows what time he will be back. He definitely doesn't want me to go with him!

Jersey flowers direct are sending me some more geraniums, not expecting them to be any better, excuse was that they are very busy and they must have been in the box too long. It is getting a bit late now to be putting annuals in.

Daisy,I hope your OH's hospital visit is reassuring that it is nothing serious. I hope they don't put drops in his eyes or he will not be able to drive back.

Lovely morning here. Had a really good nights sleep so feel good this morning, Out to lunch with friends later.

Nuisance about the geraniums Plant. Hope the new ones are better.

Daisy, hope DH’s Eye appointment goes well. As Plant says, if he has eye drops he won’t be able to drive afterwards. Can you find out, sometimes it says what they are going to do in the appointment paperwork. Also a good idea to take sunglasses.

Good morning ladies. We've got hazy sunshine and it's already quite warm.

Plant - I have warned him he may not be able to drive back. In a way it would be easier for me to take him, otherwise I've got to ask someone to drive me there so I can drive his car back, or catch the train, then a bus to get to the hospital. DS2 and DIL would have to sort out GD2 after playgroup, but that would be easier for all of us than one of them taking me to the hospital!

I hope you get a pleasant surprise with your new lot of geraniums. I still haven't planted any annuals, and I expect the choice in the garden centre is now quite limited.

Libra - I do hope T's operation goes ahead today without any more delays. xx

Enfys - we posted together. I'm glad you had a good night's sleep - it makes such a difference for the next day! Many thanks for the suggestions - there's nothing in the paperwork - just the appointment details. I hadn't thought about sunglasses, but he does keep a pair in the car so I'll suggest he double checks before he leaves.

Morning ladies was woken up this morning at 7 to the sound of someone blasted house alarm going off, on an on it went surely there must be someone in , got up eventually grumpy to find it was our alarm OOPS !!!!
Lovely day here hope to get two loads of washing out but the forecast is for rain about one o clock , need to go out looking for new chopping boards, a chair for the bedroom to throw my clothes on 😀 , and a handbag I know it’s a bizarre shopping list but it’s what I need lol Then to Range looking for an everyday dinner service, glue, and a walk round the garden centre another bizarre shop
Daisy hope all goes well with OH at hospital if there is one thing I hate it’s messing with eyes hope he’s a brave soldier, hopefully you’ll get away ok
Enfys we have a google lady sometimes if I laugh loud she says “ I’m sorry I don’t understand “ a bit creepy sometimes
Plant we always buy our plants form Unwins and never had any bother, but we have bought some geraniums from Morrison’s this time they seem ok , very disappointing isn’t it when you wait for them and they are not good
