    Good morning everyone.

Nan2, I hope you find something to feed your GD's OH!
Plant, I bet your GD was surprised to find you in the garden in your nightie 😀
I hope you enjoy the barbecue Daisy.
I think Clover may have gone away for a week?

The party is at 2.30 in our friends garden. No rain forecast until a light shower at 7pm, so that's good news.
After breakfast we will wander around Stratford.
We were drawn a sketch map of a short cut to walk to our friends house. Hopefully we will get there!!

    Have a good day everyone.

Slept late today, was very warm in the night. We didn't get the rain we were promised yesterday evening, but a bit cooler today. Nothing planned, I think there is some rugby to watch.

You and Storm had an up ad down night Oma, I wonder how he crept on your bed without waking you. Fresh bead yummy.

Hope you find your friend's house Gemini

I am the same Oma, there always seems to be too much meat at a BBQ, I just have bits and pieces. I love the fish.

You must have been tired Enfys, how is the family history research going?

          Enjoy the club BBQ Daisy.

Tiring & very hot but happy day out with Dd2 & her two. Plant the painted dogs were in their den so I couldn't take a pic for you, sorry. Will take a few days to recover from it, but worth it.

Lovely to read everyone's news. You all sound so busy. Our garage door needs painting Nan2, so if your OH wants to paint ours too he's very welcome. Our's is metal so don't know how to tackle it. Might ask at B&Q next time we go.

We took GD and her OH to the garden centre to eat.
He was happy to have burger and chips.

              Done jigger all today.
Visitors came just after we got from Asda.
              Then off to garden centre.
Hubby started the painting about an hour ago.
Keeps looking a bit iffy,so hope it stays dry, until paint is dry.

Afternoon you busy lot, I can’t be bothered with owt as we say up north, the dog is wearing me out I’ve tripped up over him twice today as he’s behind me all the time , Skye that’s the dog is eating better takes him half an hour to decide whether to eat or not but eventually she does, so later I give her a chew thing which I’m told cleans her teeth , she won’t go out and stay out though just does what she has to do and sits on the doorstep waiting to come back in. Dd arrived ok the flight was good but I didn’t realise this Dreamliner was made of plastic 🤭
Nana I havnt seen your pic yet as I can only get on FB when on the computer ax I’m logged in there permanently and don’t know the password lol to go on any other device device
Enjoy your bbq Daisy I too don’t enjoy them that much always seem to be waiting for food with plate in hand lol
Plant the bubbles sound nice celebrating the new car, I don’t know if you have it yet but if you have I hope you didn’t smash s bottle on it like they do when launching ships đŸ¤Ŗ
Gem have a lovely time and give Shakespeare my best !
Enfys hope this morning was fruitful, sorry if I’ve missed anyone that deserved an answer a lot on my mind at the mo x

Never fear ladies, I am not lost!
Our friends sketch map and description were good and we soon found the short cut to their house. It was a joint party for one of our friends, 70, and a friend of hers, 80. It was one of those situations where everyone knows someone , if only the host , and there are lots of people who don't know the majority of others! All very nice and civilised, though and the weather was good so we were in the garden all afternoon. On the way home we had a quick meal in one of the pubs.
This morning we sat and walked along the riverside area, and went on a canal boat ride. Posher than the one we went on in Birmingham, and we didn't have to climb backwards down a ladder to get on
The weekend seems to have gone far too quickly, and as we are invited to an afternoon thing back home tomorrow, we can't linger too long in the morning.

B has had to go pick Martin & Clare up from Newcastle station and take them home all the way to Darlington ,
They were having a day in Newcastle and went for a meal , Got on train and then it came over the Tannoy all trains in and out have been cancelled till at least 11.30 as someone has thrown themselves in front of one of the trains

They were going to come stay with us but then remembered they have shopping being delivered at 10 tomorrow ,

Poor person who threw themselves in front of the train what turmoil were they going through to take their own life like that ,so sad

Martin just text trains cancelled till 7am now , leaving loads of people stranded ,

Oma - that is awful. Whatever makes a person throw themselves in front of a train! I know it means a lot of personal inconveniences to a lot of people, but surely that isn't why they do it. It's so very sad, and truly awful for the poor train driver. I'm glad B was able to help M & C to get home.

You will miss Storm, you know you will, despite the nose marks on glass door and the hair scattered far and wide. Qwerty hasn't yet realised hos much she will miss her DD's poch hen he goes back either!!!

Gem - it sounds like a lovely week-end, and I'm so glad you didn't get lost. Posh boat rides, eh! We'll have to up our game in Birmingham now!!

Qwerty - poor you tripping over your guest doggy. Full-time dog owners know to look down before they even move a toe, much less a whole foot, but when you're not used to is it's much harder. Do take care, you don't want to be falling over your furry guest. You're sounding more than a bit fed up. Take care, and have a rant on here if it helps. xx

Nanto - glad you sorted out the food crisis with your visitors. Sounds like a good solution.

Nana - glad you've had a lovely day and I hope you can take time out to recuperate. xx

Plant, we didn't get any rain either, even though Enfys had gallons of it and we only live about 12-15 miles apart from each other!

The barbecue was very nice. I wasn't particularly looking forward to it, but in about 8 or 10 years, it's the first time we haven't needed warm jumpers and thick coats. I didn't even need the light jacket I'd taken just in case. The food was very nice - not a burger to be seen! - and the desserts were really yummy. We sat with three other couples who are all great company, So it was a very happy evening.

                          Night night, everyone.

Oma, thank goodness B was able to get M&C.
There was a similar incident here a few weeks ago.

We had a bit of fine drizzle ÂŊ hour ago,but it seems to have passed over now.

Daisy and Gem, pleased you both had a good time with friends.

Plant, not long now, until you get your new car.

Qwerty, take care, stop tripping up over the dog.

Good morning Nan2 and everyone else.

One of our best friends works for Network Rail you would be shocked to hear how many people jump like that in a year ☚ī¸

We are going out for breakfast and a wander round before heading north again.

                              Have a good day everyone.

Good morning everyone - it's another lovely warm and sunny day here.

How sad that so many people jump in front of trains. I didn't realise it was such a problem, though.

Gem - enjoy your wander round. Safe journey home.

My first job today is portioning up food for Eva - her freezer is nearly empty, and I want to get it done before it gets too hot. I can imagine every fly within 10 miles will be on high alert if I don't get on with it!!

I hope whatever you're doing today is better than that! Have a good day everyone.
