Well we got the wardrobe sorted , and even managed to put in a shelf unit behind one of the doors in the corner to get the toy boxes in ,
I now have a lovely space and lots of room , took me ages to get all my shoes and bags sorted , to be honest as my shoes were so high up I forgot I had half of them , I found 2 pairs of summer shoes still with price tags on I remember getting in the winter sale a few years ago ready for the following summer and just forgot about them , also 5 pair of flats unworn and I don't think I ever will so may take them to charity shop they still in there boxes all Pavers
I again was ruthless with my handbags ,I have sorted them and I'm left with 16 but to be fair 5 are clutch bags and 3 are over the body bags I use on holiday , I have put smaller bags inside bigger bags so B doesn't know exactly how many I have
Now I can just open the door and see all my shoes and bags at a glance I may use them more often

We made sure everything was left clean and tidy before we came home.

Well today didn't go quite as planned!
Firstly the hot pipe to the washing machine had sprung a leak a couple of days ago and filled the under sink cupboard with water. OH had turned it off. but today we needed to use the washing machine so it needed to be fixed. This is an integral machine so a tight fit and very hard to get out. We managed and OH went to B&Q for 2 new pipes, as it seemed silly not to replace both. Eventually she fixed the new hoses and we managed to get the machine back in place.
Late afternoon we headed for town to see the balloon fiesta. It took a long time as traffic was heavy. As we got closer we saw hoards of people coming back from that direction on foot and big queues at the bus stop. It had been cancelled as it was too wet Disappointing for everyone, especially the organisers. We may get to see them tomorrow.
We went for drink, then to a very good Chinese restaurant that we like. There are always a lot of Chinese diners in there, which is a good sign!
This morning was warm and sunny. I walked to the village post office and back and got the bedding dry. By 4ish the rain set in and never stopped.

Glad you managed to get the washer fixed. A shame about the balloon fiesta being cancelled, but we can't control the weather unfotunately.

Raining here this morning, so this morning i'm going to clean the window frames,windows and polish the curtain pole in the living room.
Press my new curtains and hang them. That will keep me occupied for a couple of hours.

Good Sunday morning everyone.

Grey and damp here, but not too cold. Apart from a bit of a tidy up in the kitchen, I've got the whole day free! Oh the excitement - how shall I spend it? I'll probably just go with the flow .... The girls were going to be here for a couple of hours but their plans have changed again and they're not coming now.

Nanto - I'm sure your new curtains will look lovely - and yes, they certainly need clean windows etc for their first hanging. Can you put up a photo of them? How is your MIL today, after her busy birthday?

Gem - I hope the balloon festival goes ahead today.

Clover - perhaps it will brighten up a bit later on.

Oma - 16 handbags! I bet you've got more than Zizi! I'll have to count mine - mmmmmmm, 6 plus an evening bag which hasn't seen light of day for ages. I use 3 of them regularly - all bright colours - and the other 3 are black or navy for times when a bright purple, pink or red back would be wrong. I could probably get rid of two of those dark ones, but they're very tiny.

Rainy and damp, so the morning balloons won't have gone out, and unless there is a vast improvement this afternoons won't. What a shame!
We are going out for Sunday lunch, to a pub which does great ones, with 2 of our closest friends. They have been really busy all this summer and we have only met up a couple of times in the last few months, so it will be good to catch up. And eat a nice lunch

Nothing planned today, might get dressed soon, had hoped to finish planting some bulbs but it doesn't look very exciting outside. My new curtains should be here this week, hope I like them. Handbags, well I have a Winter black one and a cream summer one, a yellow one and a purple one, more for evenings, that's it. I hate changing bags

Good morning all , how is everyone.

We had a lovely day at the spa yesterday, totally spoilt and pampered , it was so relaxing . Had yet another birthday present and I brought two Yankee Candles as they were on offer, OH thinks I am mad ,"Just how many candles do we need "he asked.... men ....they know nothing do they ?

Oma , 16 handbags ! I get fed up with mine and end up giving them to charity, at a guess I would say I have 5 , a long way off your total amount.


No a lot planned for today except to 'nag' OH to sort out want he wants to wear /pack for our few days away. I have warned him its no giving me some trousers on Thursday that he has been wearing all week and expect them to be washed, dried and ironed for packing on Thursday evening .

Not cooking a Sunday lunch today, OH wants pasta and who am I to argue with him.

Daisy I have a habit of buying bags its not long ago I took loads to the charity shop ,I really must stop but I see a nice one and I just have to have it ,
I only have a couple of expensive ones the rest are never more than £20 in price .

Well went to B&M this morning then popped over the road to Homebase for some tiles for downstairs loo , Came out with a new vanity unit and basin for there too ,
In our defence it is small and a better size for our tiny space AND it was reduced a real bargain at £59 . Only two left so didn't miss that bargain .
It has a small square basin and a little touch close cupboard under
Not doing much today I'm very tired sore knee all night sat with hot water bottle on it for hours , my own fault for being on hands and knees washing floors when I shouldn't kneel so no sympathy please

Oma, later I intend to count all my bags. The number will be quite shocking i think!

Daisy I have, including cross body, fancy totes, rucksacks of various types, expensive and cheap handbags a total of ................ 79. I have mine in large polythene boxes, some in the loft. I have been brave recently and out some shoes and dresses in the charity bag. I am tempted to take the beautiful nude platforms out and keep them but they are very high and I have only worn them three times and for the price I paid that is quite shameful.

I have started clearing the little bedroom which recently has become a bit of a dumping ground of late as the children have not stayed much this year. We are getting rid of the bunk beds but I cannot find the assembly instructions so will have to take photos for whoever has it. I am going to phone the Salvation Army and see if they have someone who needs it. We are going to get a chair bed and hide away the two fold up beds as well then I am going to out a console table to use as a daisy desk, I have seen one in IKEA. BUT first I have to clear the wardrobes so we can dismantle them and out new flooring down as well as extra electrics. What a lot of work I am giving to myself, well better go and get started!!!

Very windy here this morning.

Oma, i will take a photo of my new curtains in a day or two.There is some scaffolding up next door,which you can see through our window.
Hopefully it will be down soon.
I only got plain curtains this time, didn't want flowers or stripes or any pattern.
