Oma - poor GS - he must be a bit fed up with his poorly thumb.

My day didn't go according to plan at all! We had got up late - after 9 am - so the morning was very short. OH went down to the village for the essential - a newspaper and bananas. Why do we always run out of bananas?? He called into the chemists to restock on Lemsip Max which he'd used up last week, and the lady said have you had your flu jab yet, Mr Daisy? Noooo ..... so they gave it to him there and then. So he persuaded me to go and get mine on the grounds that he hadn't gone through all the trauma of an injection only to have to possibly nurse me through flu later on! It wasn't a bad day - certainly no need to take a coat. I got into the village - a mile away - and the heavens opened! So I sat in the car for about 15 mins until it eased off a bit. I must have still looked like a drowned rat though. Had my flu jab, got OH's birthday card for next month and came home. By then it was lunch time. Then I needed to portion up food for Eva, and place an order for next month's food, and dry out some liver for training treats, and put a load of washing in. By then it was time to take Eva out for a good run, get dinner and collapse in a heap! Oh - and when I said to OH about the rain, he said 'what rain? We haven't had any'!!!

Hubby intended doing some jobs today and i was just going to do usual housework.
All plans changed now. SIL rang last night ay 10pm,to ask if we wanted to do a buffet for mams birthday.
So it's off to the supermarket soon,and most of the day will be spent round at parents.

A bit dull here at the moment but dry - for now. We have friends coming round for a meal this evening so a busy day for me although I have planned an easy menu so hopefully all will go well. Chicken in the slow cooker, eton mess and a cheese board for after - what can go wrong 🤞🙂.

Well sorting spare room wardrobes out today I want new rails putting in , it's a big 12 ft sliding wardrobe we had shelves in to put the children's toys in boxes in , it no longer gets used for that now so changing it to hanging space and a place for my shoes and handbags , What toys they do like will stay in boxes under the bed now .

We've got the girls for a few hours today, so I'm just sorting out something for lunch and would be very grateful if the weather would stay dry so they can play out on their bikes.

Morning chirpies not too bad a time to get up with eldest g/d 8 am had croissants for breakfast with jam and a latte quite the lady these days , told her we are having a quiet morning as this afternoon will be a little more hectic so snakes and ladders, a memory game and she's going with me for 2 fingernails replacing lol we will walk into the village mum should be here when we get back. Already had a FT with twin M reminding me it's sleepover day and can we go looking for conkers 🙄 that's open for discussion yet

Wardrobe sorting Oma, what fun!

I hope the weather stays fine for the girls, Daisy.

Nothing planned for today, which is nice. There is a local balloon fiesta this weekend and we intend to get out and have look at them later. They set off from the racecourse (hot air balloons) at 7.15 am and 4.45 pm. It should be a wonderful sight to see. I spotted 3 last night, but we are 4 miles from town, so they won't all come our way. We will drive into town to see them.

We make plans and then they change. I've just had a call from DIL2 saying they've had to change their plans, so could wee have the girls tomorrow instead of today. At least it gives me moe time to decide what to get for lunch!

Daisy I'm putting in the loft all the things they just don't bother with , well its really only GD now the boys are into more high Tech gadgets , so fingers crossed she wont remember half that was there
I'm looking forward to having my shoes and Handbags on a low shelf , at the minute shoes are in the other sliding wardrobe on a high shelf I have to get the steps out to reach and my bags are under the bed ,
More hanging space for Dresses too , Just been to B&Q for new poles and brackets , Shoes are all in boxes but I might need some nice ones to keep my handbags in to protect from dust
