Good morning everyone. I'm sorry I didn't make it on here yesterday.

Nana - I do hope today your cold has peaked and you are feeling a bit more comfortable. I remember when my DS2 had a similar op he thought he'd have a wekk off work and then be able to go back as long as he didn't drive or lift anything. In fact he was in quite a lot of pain and pretty immobile for the 2 weeks the doctor had told him he would be. So take everything very gently and be kind to yourself. It will get better. Sending gentle hugs. xx

Well done on all the gardening yesterday, Plant. We've got a bag full of windfall apples for chutney - a job on the To Do list!! I hope the dentist is just a check up.

My busy day was busy. We ended up taking Eva to the barbecue as well as GD2. They both loved it! The pub is very dog friendly and Eva was served with her very own bowl of water and a little packet of Sea Jerky treats! GD2 loved all the attention from the oldies, and spent ages "rewriting" the menu board for the pub! We didn't have the lovely sunny day some of you enjoyed, but it was dry and warmish. Dog training went very well - Eva's best night ever and I was so proud of her. We didn't get home until 11 pm (dog training often overruns) and I hadn't had any dinner, so I had a bowl of cereal and went to bed. I'm off to the hairdressers later and then we're going to see the Carole King musical "Beautiful" tonight.

Qwerty - I hope you got a good night's sleep after your busy day.

Oma - the chair's lovely and it will certainly make life easier during December!!!

Gem - I'm glad your mum had a good birthday, although I bet she's tired today after all the excitement.

Daisy I saw Beautiful in London for my 60th. I cried most of the way through it remembering the "landmarks" the songs were giving me (not all lovely ones I must admit). I hope you enjoy it.

              Nice chair Oma.
Did they both go to sleep Qwerty?

Mum had a lovely day I picked her up just after 12, and brought her here. DDs 2 and 3 (who work together) arrived just after 1, for an hour or so, and DD1, who leaves work at 2ish, came on afterwards. I think mum enjoyed having the family 'staggered'! OH arrived home just before DD1.
She had 4 lots of flowers, and many other lovely presents, enjoyed her lunch, and took home a Doggy Bag for later, and generally began her 90th year very happily !
Sorry Oma only just seen this , , yes they did within 20 mins of each other, slept an hour and a quarter 😀😀😀😀😀😀

Don't normally boast about my family's achievements, but am sooooo proud of GS I just had to share! He's been chosen to be the first Head Boy of his primary school! He had to have an interview with a member of staff and give a presentation to the whole school before they all voted. He said it was a bit of a stressful experience, but he's really proud of what he's done. His election by-line was ....Be a Smartie, vote for Charlie!!! Hopefully my nails will have grown a bit before I start biting them waiting for the 11+ results on 13th October! We shall be celebrating with them in due course!
