Wee Granny - I'm seriously fed up with all the rain as well. It brightened up for a couple of hours this afternoon, but not long enough for the standing water to drain from the garden. As for the allotment - I don't even want to think about it!
Did you find anytchairs you liked?
We had a nice lunch with DS1 and family here. The pot roast was tasty and tender - it does seem to be foolproof. The only thing I forgot was soya milk to make gluten- and dairy-free Yorkshire puds. Fortunately DS1 stopped off in the village on the way here and got some, so the day and my street cred as a gran was saved. Till the next time!!! DS1 has spent most of the afternoon on my computer processing my precious photos from Seattle a couple of years ago in Lightroom. He's a bit too enthusiastic on the sliders (to change contrast, brightness, sharpness, etc) for my liking, but he's done quite a good job on some of them, bless him. And he's mended out little tv that used to be in the kitchen, so I'm going to have it in the sitting area in the dining room to escape OH's noisy films and football matches!
We really thought it was beyond repair, so he's done very well with it.
Poor GD1 is poorly and went back to bed this morning. She's got the bug that her mummy and daddy have had, and is feeling a very sad little girl.
Gem - hope you enjoyed your unexpected lunch out.
Mimi - you should have ordered the sticky toffee pudding to be served in a doggy bag for later.
Plant - how is Milo today. I hope you've had a week-end of cuddles from GGs and baby Milo!
I hope the sun is saving itself for the wedding!
Enfys - DS1's Border Collie, Bailey, takes all the toys outside. Eva brings them back in! Enjoy your peaceful day.
Oma - you needed that sleep! Don't overdo it now.
