Wee Granny - I'm seriously fed up with all the rain as well. It brightened up for a couple of hours this afternoon, but not long enough for the standing water to drain from the garden. As for the allotment - I don't even want to think about it! Did you find anytchairs you liked?

We had a nice lunch with DS1 and family here. The pot roast was tasty and tender - it does seem to be foolproof. The only thing I forgot was soya milk to make gluten- and dairy-free Yorkshire puds. Fortunately DS1 stopped off in the village on the way here and got some, so the day and my street cred as a gran was saved. Till the next time!!! DS1 has spent most of the afternoon on my computer processing my precious photos from Seattle a couple of years ago in Lightroom. He's a bit too enthusiastic on the sliders (to change contrast, brightness, sharpness, etc) for my liking, but he's done quite a good job on some of them, bless him. And he's mended out little tv that used to be in the kitchen, so I'm going to have it in the sitting area in the dining room to escape OH's noisy films and football matches! We really thought it was beyond repair, so he's done very well with it.

Poor GD1 is poorly and went back to bed this morning. She's got the bug that her mummy and daddy have had, and is feeling a very sad little girl.

Gem - hope you enjoyed your unexpected lunch out.

Mimi - you should have ordered the sticky toffee pudding to be served in a doggy bag for later.

Plant - how is Milo today. I hope you've had a week-end of cuddles from GGs and baby Milo! I hope the sun is saving itself for the wedding!

Enfys - DS1's Border Collie, Bailey, takes all the toys outside. Eva brings them back in! Enjoy your peaceful day.

Oma - you needed that sleep! Don't overdo it now.

Libra - I'm so sorry to hear your DD is back in intensive care, but I'm sure she's getting the best treatment possible. Stay strong - all us grannies are wishing her well. Big hugs. xxx

Had the pleasure of seeing quite a lot of GGS this weekend, they popped in today to see the kitten, babyE made straight for Milo but he got hissed at. Milo seems a very adventurous kitten, not at all timid. The talk this weekend has been who is picking up the suits, who is traveling with whom. I have a request for an early check-in for my room but I think it will be needed for groom and best man to get changed in. Do hope this weather improves.

Good thing to to get your computer jobs done Daisy and the television repaired. I hope the little one will be better soon.

I have read your update Libra, thinking of you all.

I'm keeping up with all your news everyone.

Yesterday we had a lovely day at my brother's. He always cooks a good roast dinner. Good company & good food...can't beat it.

OH gives his notice in in the morning so it's a bit tense here. I think he might feel better once it's done. He's a good man so I hope things work out better for him.

Another wet day here, hoping it clears so I can get girls out to burn off some energy. Can't visit hospital until this evening as no transport , and taking T on 2 trains and 2 buses is a no no. I think I have found the answer to her tantrums she goes in the sin bin .its a tiny square between lounge, Ms bedroom and bathroom.I made chicken and chorizo pasta last night, she likes these ingredients but not the type of pasta 😠complained it was horrid and wasn't eating it. Consequently I denied her a dessert, boy did she go off on one. So I chucked her in their and after about 7 minutes she was quiet and was told if she apogised she could come out.Its a glass door so I can see what she's up too. This morning she lied about something, said she was upstairs reading, I crept upstairs and caught her on her tablet after I had said no to it until she had had breakfast, washed, dressed and cleaned her teeth. Less than 2 minutes in the sin bin and she came out and apologised 😠 I accept her behavior has worsened due to Mum, but lying and screaming in my face is unacceptable. This child doesn't have NO said to her often enough. Tough love I'm afraid .

Toasting Grannie Power with my tea Libra! Let’s hope for a better day all round.
I have just seen the paper front page and it says we are in for much warmer weather very soon. OH has now commandeered the paper so I can’t verify it.
Wet again here, so more sewing.
                      Good moaning anyway. 😁

Good for you Libra, she will be a better child for some discipline in her life.

Raining again but we are popping out to the local shopping centre so will be under cover, DH’s suggestion.......he likes shopping and browsing so who’s to complain. Might squeeze a coffee in too.

                          Good morning everyone.
It actually not raining!! Terribly wet though, Fields and garden like ponds. Golf course closed, so OH and golf buddies are meeting for coffee and to moan about the lack of golf!
GS1 is here. He arrived in his pyjamas, tired from a busy weekend in Edinburgh. He is relaxing, still in pyjamas, by playing a fun maths game on his i pad. In my world Fun and Maths have never gone together, but for him they do
A lazy morning here, and this afternoon we are going to Build A Bear, his Easter present. He can go on the play area there too, if not too wet and will will have tea at the Pizza express there. It is on the way home from work for DD, so she will meet us there. OH may or may not come. We shall see!

Libra, I hope you find DD a lot better today. I am glad you have found ways of coping with T. It must be hard for the girls with mum away and poorly, but they are old enough to co operate with their gran, who is also stressed and only there to help. Deep breaths!
Nana, your OH will be relieved once he has give in his notice I'm sure. I know my SIL was when he had to do it. It was a weight off his shoulders.

                          Have a good day everyone

Been up since 6.30 this morning!!!!! Feel as if I've done a day's work already. Had to clear the garage of all the guttering stuff because the kitchen was arriving at 7.30 and it did! What I've seen of the colour of the units, I like!!Now have banging inside and out and I still haven't had a shower. But the guttering lads are outside the shower room window and I don't fancy them seeing me in the nuddy even if it is through frosted glass!

OH off to dentist shortly so he can escape and I think I may take a trip to the launderette this afternoon as the laundry basket is full to overflowing.

No rain here....yet, but it is dull and overcast, though it doesn't seem quite as cold as it has been.

Have a good day everyone x

Just for a change, it is raining again! I am going to pop out later, I am having trouble with my eyes, well mainly one of them, hope the chemist can recommend something. Can't imagine what is causing it, they are red and slightly crusty in the morning and very sore and watery, I might, might clean the bathrooms. GS3 was going to paint my garage doors this week but we have decided next week will probably be better, forecast is better.

Libra, you have to feel sorry for your GD's but you can't put up with that behaviour.

Why don't you give the guttering men a treat WG.

Just after i posted good morning,i had to dash off.
Eldest called on his way to work.

When he had gone,we had breakfast and then started on my jobs.
Sun was shining earlier,so put the washing out.
½ an hour later while i had coffee,it started raining.
Dashed out to get them in,and sun is shining again now.

Libra, sometimes you have to use some discipline, she will probably thank you for it in time to come.

WeeGranny, you would have made their day,if you had showered.

Enfys, shopping and coffee, whats not to like.

Nana, hope your hubby feels better when the deed is done.

                                Daisy,hope GD is feeling better.
