Mimi - I don't think you've packed enough - unless you're going to guaranteed sunshine and temps of 30C+. In that case you only need your bikini and a light coverup to protect from sunburn! We're planning to go away in the caravan next week, and after freezing to death a couple of weeks ago I'm taking warm tops and jumpers, my furry boots, proper pyjamas (no skimpy nighties this time) and a winter coat, thus guaranteeing an Indian summer!!
Gem - I bet you caught that cold virus from Oma (adding new meaning to going viral online!) Take it easy and lots of hot toddies. OH is still coughing for England (or Wales in his case!) but somehow managed to sleep through most of it last night. I can't understand it - if OH's cough keeps me awake shouldn't it keep him awake as well.
It's a lovely day today - and I've got one load of washing on the line. I don't feel like doing much else, and the gardening will have to wait.!

Gem I'm only just getting over a cold.Had It for a week now so I really hope yours doesn't develope any more.
I managed to cut the rest of the grass today but it was too wet really.Anyway it's done now.
Nanto, you've got a very healthy car.
Mimi, not sure when you're off on holiday but I hope you have a lovely time.
The cold is not too bad, although I'm sneezing a bit tonight. I'm just hoping it will go away LOL. I intend to tuck myself into bed early with Dr Foster on Catch up!
Today we went to Tesco to do my mums shopping to take to her tomorrow, and get a few things for ourselves. We did that self scan thing , where you carry a scanner around with you, for the first time. It took ages, but I imagine we will become more proficient!

Gem - well done on doing the self-scan thing. I must admit to being a total coward over such things - I've only ever used a self-service checkout when I've been accompanied by a responsible adult!
Nanto - well done, your car. It's always a relief when they pass.
Gem - I hope your cold goes away, too. I've been sneezing quite a lot but it's not a cold. No definitely not a cold. I refuse to have one until the depths of winter! Clover, pleased to hear you're on the mend.
I've had a pretty lazy day today - one load of washing, a walk in the Forest with Eva and reheating a casserole for dinner. I'll have to do a bit better tomorrow though, and I will try and get the lawn cut and those to plants put into the garden.

Gem if I need to pop to the supermarket I use the self scan all the time, I can get round quickly and I can keep an eye on the total amount I am spending .
Clover we are going to York on Friday, coming back on Monday.
I use self scan in Waitrose every week, much prefer it but you do have to be careful not to scan things twice, it gives you a read-out of your trolley load and the total, the items go straight into my bags, no unloading the trolley and then packing it.

Sunny here so I hope it is where you are.
Have a good day.
Good morning. A bit dull here at the moment but dry. DH has hospital appointment this morning. He was offered a trial with a gadget for his diabetes.....a little device that goes into the skin and it reads the blood sugar which you can then scan with a handheld device. Our GS trialled one a couple of years ago but didn't get on with it as the little disc attached to his arm kept falling off. It may have improved now so DH is giving it a go. There is talk of it being provided eventually on the NHS, can't see that happening any time soon, but otherwise it is quite expensive to fund yourself. We shall see. All very interesting.
