Trying to find jobs for GS3 to do as he needs money, another 3 weeks before he goes to Birmingham. He cut the vine down in the greenhouse, none of it was big enough for wood turning Daisy. Our problem is this time of year is bin space, SIL is cutting grass, we have about half an acre of that and he is about to start hedging, we have a lot of hedges and with me cutting back plants that have flowered, the rubbish has to wait in a queue. Not sure when they are going to BBQ it is usually about 5p.m.

Enjoy your day everyone, hope you all have this lovely sunshine.

      Feels very muggy this morning.
Hope you enjoyed the BBQ Plant.
We had a surprise visitor last night. A former workmate of hubby's. Not seen in for about 2 or 3 years.
It was lovely to have a catch up. His wife didn't come, she is away with DD and grandchildren.
Thay moved house in May,so he has invited us to go on Saturday, and have a nosey.

Very hot in the night but feels cooler this morning. The cupboards are bare so a supermarket trip this morning to stock up. DH has hospital appointment after lunch, his routine yearly diabetic check up so I may go to the library. Have a good day everyone 🌞

          Good morning everyone.
Damp and gloomy here! It was hot in the night though as with you Enfys.

How nice to have the surprise visitor Nan2.

Oma, OH and partner didn't win golf, she wasn't happy!! She has just set off for todays competition, hopefully she will do better today!

Yesterday was busy with GS1 here then going, with him, to DD2s. It was lovely to see the other GC, and the baby hadn't forgotten us! GD gave us both the loveliest hug and told us she had missed us. She isn't a particularly huggy child and doesn't say many things like that, so it meant the world to me, as I obviously adore her and missed her lots!
It was lovely to sit in the garden and watch all 3 GC bouncing on the trampoline for ages

Both GD and GS2 have grown! GS is walking really well and looks at least 2. GD looks taller and can now do a perfect backwards walkover, which she has been practising all summer.

I have work late this afternoon. Before that I have several trips to library, bank (for mum) shops etc, and must finish my unpacking!

          Have a good day everyone.

Sunny here again, I could get used to this but we are forecast rain tomorrow. Lovely family BBQ yesterday, baby was a star again. I think he gets a bit over stimulated when we are all here, his parents took him for a walk so that he could have a sleep. GS3 is going to do a few more jobs for me in the garden this week, not sure which day.

Daisy I think I sent you a message, did you get it? It wasn't really private. Zizi suggested that we have face time with her when we are in Birmingham but she needs a phone number and really it needs to be someone who brings an Ipad. I do bring mine but I have never done face time.

Plant, I don't have an i pad, only a Samsung tablet, and have never done FaceTime either. Maybe someone else has ?

I will get someone to show me how to do it, I don't thinks it is too difficult. It would be nice if we can manage it but of course Zizi has to get a connection. will see.

Feeling pooped, just changed the bed, dusted and hoovered everywhere, new carpet keeps clogging my vacuum so lots of trips to the bin to empty it. Weather very close here, might pop to the post office to send a parcel but not mush else.

Morning all. Its very muggy here but also its raining , feels like we are in a sauna .

I have done FaceTime with GC via my iPad to their iPhone , its easy to set up , just set up an account. Also you could Skype if you have and android phone/tablet and the person you want to 'talk' to also has an android phone /tablet . Hope this isn't confusing . I haven't explained too well.

Yesterday when I was out in the garden something bit me not once but twice . Once just above the ankle and then just above on my calf. I remember exactly when it happened because it stung when it happened. Now the bite area is very red, swollen and a mixture of pain and incredible itchy feeling. I have been putting antiseptic cream on it but that hasn't made a lot of difference at the moment. Dam thing kept me awake last night

Mimi dab with some Coke or Toothpaste , now I know it sounds strange but it really works . I was given the toothpaste tip by a local girl when I was bitten in Sorennto Italy a few years ago . I asked at reception where the chemist was and the girl said use toothpaste every two hours it takes the itch out and its antiseptic , Coke tip was given to my DD she said it works but I haven't tried it myself , you dab the area several times a day with coke

Haven't any coke so it's off to the bathroom to locate the toothpaste!

The toothpaste works Mimi. A friend of ours gave us Hydrocortisone cream, which was given to her for bites. It works well too. I think you probably have to ask over the counter at the pharmacist.

Been another busy day, been doing various jobs. Had a Morrisons delivery at 9 this morning.
Depending on the weather,i might not be here early tomorrow morning.
We are doing a car boot sale for eldest son, if it is dry.

Very sultry today, took my parcel to PO and popped into our hardware shop to buy a long handled feather duster, I will get that spider she has defeated me so far. Looked at a new mini but decided it wasn't much smaller than my BMW, then proceeded to have my car washed and cleaned and whilst they were cleaning it popped into B&Q to look at a planting trough. Have watched Bake Off this evening, missed the old team though and then a recording of Victoria which I enjoyed until a huge, I mean huge, spider shot from under the sofa and disappeared under a chair before I could catch it, then it returned to the sofa, so I now have two spiders to sort out tomorrow, wish me luck.
