It's far too late to say 'good morning', in fact it's probably too late to say 'night night' to some of you! It's been a long and busy day so I haven't had chance to read everything on this thread properly.

Plant - yes, I'm quite happy for Zizi to have my mobile number (I think she's got it anyway) and I shall take my iPad so we can Face time with her. It's very easy to do. I'll pm my number to you, just in case.

Good luck with the spider hunting Plant!

Much cooler here this morning after another warm night. We are off Plant pot searching today. DH wants to make a water feature in ththe garden so we need a big square pot. No doubt we will have coffee out at some point and I dare say something else will jump into my basket too .

Good morning everyone. It's grey and dull here today, and much cooler. What a change from yesterday! But it looks as though Nanto is enjoying the car boot sale for her eldest son. Nanto - I hope you made lots of sales.

Plant - Your 2 spiders could keep each other company! I was chatting to DIL2 in their kitchen yesterday morning when I went to collect the GDs and she suddenly said 'shushhhhh' and pointed downwards. Just on the edge of my sandal there was a huge, huge spider, very black with very long hairy legs. It seemed to realise we were watching it and suddenly scuttled off under the cooker. We both laughed, and she whispered "I call him Kitchen Fred - don't tell the family about him"!!! I think if the GDs saw him his days would be numbered, poor Fred.

I have a dog-inflicted injury! I was in the process of undoing Eva's lead in the paddock yesterday and she got a front leg tangled in the lead. I tried to untangle it and she must have thought I'd undone the lead and she shot off at high speed, taking the ring finger of my right hand with her!!! It's all swollen and very painful. OH was convinced it was broken, but I can move it slightly this morning, so I think I'll survive!

I've got a day at home today and I'm hoping it stays nice enough to do a bit more gardening. If not, I might just have to sit down, put my feet up and relax!

Enfys - I hope you find the perfect pot!

          Good morning all.
Daisy that was a real "ouch" injury.I'm glad you can move it though so hopefully it'll recover on it's own.Be careful of it if you do manage any gardening.I'd be inclined to rest it with feet up and a good book. You can't be too careful
Plant I think we are entering "spider season". The other evening we were sitting quietly watching TV when I saw a movement out of the corner of my eye.It was the most ENORMOUS spider walking nonchalantly across the floor. I don't mind spiders at all so we let it be and watched it casually make it's way behind the fireplace

DD and family are returning from their holiday in Malta today. I think they may notice a slight change in temperature as it has been 28-32 degrees where they've been

I'm awaiting the gas man to come for our second "first" service I told you about a couple of weeks ago. Fingers crossed it all goes ell.

          Happy Wednesday everyone.

Love the spider story Daisy, I am not scared of the big ones but I think I would have freaked out if it was on my foot. When I catch it I will send it to keep Fred company. The other one is in a corner of the ceiling and has the ability to fold up so I cant get it. Because of the decorating, my sitting room was free of spiders and their webs, now they are moving back. My new long handled duster is bright yellow, that should frightened it off.

Daisy shall I suggest a time, say 6p.m. on the Friday or Saturday to Zizi, we should all be together then before eating. Hope your finger is okay.

                Good morning everyone.

We have Victoria recorded Plant, but not watched it yet.

Nan2, I hope the car boot sale goes well.

Oh Daisy, that does sound painful!

Your family will thinks it's rather cool here Clover! Fingers crossed all goes smoothly with the gas service!

OH and I are Ladies Who Lunch today! This morning we are taking my auntie to OH's golf club for coffee and cake. Auntie lives near there and fancies seeing the recently refurbished clubroom. From there we go across town to meet a friend, and her mum who is staying with her, for lunch.
When I get back I will probably do some of the forum work Daisy and I busy with. It's much more fun than ironing

Clover - your poor family will think they've come home to winter! I hope the 'first' second gas service goes better than the first first one! I am being a bit careful with the injured finger - funnily enough it doesn't really hurt to type with it. But I'm sure it's too badly injured to pick up a duster and as for getting it wet with the washing up - that's a no-no!!

Plant - yes, that would be nice. Perhaps suggest Friday evening, just in case we can't get through then we've got another chance on Saturday. Many thanks - we will miss her.

Oma - that's a good cuppa to start the day! How exciting it will be to have a GGD in the family. I bet you're as excited as your sister.

Gem - enjoy your day of coffees and lunches! I agree the Forum wins over ironing and all other chores every time.

Its a late Good morning from me today
                    How is everyone ?
We have watched Victoria , we watched it on the 'catch up' then there is no annoying ads. Did anyone see Bake Off last night ? I recorded it then watched it after 10 yesterday evening, that way I can fast forward through the annoying adds . I thought it was very good, even the start of the program had then same theme tune. Apart from the presenters nothing much else had been changed.

I haven't had the best start to the day, I was in the spare room practicing my yoga , doing some cat stretches when I heard the back garden gate open , then a ladder being stood up against the wall and then a cheery 'morning 'as the window cleaner climbed the ladder to reach the windows of the upstairs flat . That will teach me to close my window blinds !
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Oma - I thought you were enjoying having it long! But I have to say your new sharp modern cut looks fantastic!

Mimi - Tut, tut you exhibitionist. I bet the window cleaner thought it was his birthday getting a full view of your cat stretches. Perhaps as well it wasn't a downward dog!!!

Yes, I watched most of Bake Off, but thought the last lot of ads just before the result of the Showstopper results was nothing more than a blatant attempt by Ch4 to keep you watching and felt very American! I suppose it will take time to get used to the new presenters, but the contestants were the same sort of mixture as always. I always feel a bit sorry for the first one to be sent off, but hopefully they realise that even to get onto the show in the first place is an accolade! Weren't those showstoppers incredible!!!

                          Oma your hair looks lovely.
Daisy, with cat stretches I still end up with my bottom in the air but not as much as downward dog I have to admit!

                              I like the hair Oma.

I am usually in bed when my window cleaner comes so he waves and says good morning, should add he has his wife with him.

I used to practise my yoga to Simon and Garfunkel Mimi, loved Bridge over Troubled Waters it was the right tempo for Salute to the Sun

Bake Off, hmm, missed the old presenters, Mary always had a twinkle in her eye and loved a bit of booze Mel and Sue were a good team balance. I like Prue Leith but she has a sterner nature then Mary. Perhaps they are all just finding their feet, must give them time. There were about three contestants that were pretty awful, don't know how they got through. I shall record it in future.

Car boot went well. Started off quite cool, but it did warm up a bit. tired though,I didn't get to sleep till 4am,then we were on our way at 6.
We had a lovely bacon sandwich there for breakfast. Came home, quick cuppa and a shower then went to the pub for something to eat.
Daisy, hope the finger isn't too sore, and love the spider story.
Hubby is supposed to be sorting some rubbish in the garage, but i can't hear anything going in the bin. Will check things out soon.
