Oma your new hairstyle really suits you. It's how I remember you the last time we met in Birmingham .

Gas man rang and asked to come early which was fine. All now well so I'll be getting paperwork in the post and hopefully that will be the end of it.

I watched "Bake Off" and found it better than I had thought it would be.

        Good evening.

Wow, I only saw you a few days ago Oma, and your hair is totally different! it looks good. I think it suits you long or short.

LOL Mimi, fortunately our window cleaner always texts me when he is on his way, so nothing embarrassing ever happens

Glad the car boot sale went well Nan2.

We watched Bake Off on Catch Up later in the evening, so were able to whizz through all the annoying ads! We enjoyed it, but missed Mary, Mel and Sue.

We have had a nice sociable and lazy day! OH is now cutting the lawn though. I could be finishing my unpacking, but strangely enough I find myself online!

Like the hairstyle Oma, i used to have long hair when i was younger, prefer to keep it short now.
It's too fine to let it grow.
Didn't get chance to watch Bake Off last night, but i have recorded it. Will be able to wind the adverts on.

Looks like a nice start to the day.
We had a really heavy downpour about 6 o'clock last night.

              Good morning, everyone.

Nanto - love the nice sunny graphic. It's been very chilly here overnight - the garden thermometer read 7C just now, but the sun's peeping through the clouds, so it should warm up. Glad the car boot went well - and a bacon buttie must have been very welcome! Did you sleep better last night?

I hope it gets warmer - I've got to defrost the freezers today and tidy them up before a huge dog food order comes on Saturday. I've a horrible feeling it's going to be a day of housework-type-stuff as well!

Mimi and Gem - our window cleaner has one of those long pole thingies so unless he's got a camera on the end you'd be safe here!!!

Oma - did you wake up this morning and wonder where your hair had gone? I bet it will dry much quicker now.

                Good morning everyone.
Chilly here, but some sun is attempting to peep through.
Thursday so I will do my mums shopping and see her. If she would like to go out somewhere for coffee we will.
Tonight OH and I are going to see author Val McDermid at the library in town. She will be talking then signing her latest book, which we are both ready to read, as we have read the one before in the series. We shall see if we resist buying a signed copy, and wait for it on Kindle!

Btw ladies, could you tell us if you new Granny's Rest and Tea Room section is visible to you all? Thanks!

I don't know if I dare show my face on here after yesterdays debacle, I am really sorry to have caused such a flap, I was really flapping my end. GS4 said don't worry GM just put a message on telling them to just leave. There are still four members, including a friend in Australia, I hope they are having a nice chat.
Off to aqua this morning will check in later.

Clover, Plant tried to send some friends a photo on FB, but created a little group instead. Easy to do, and we all do this sort of thing from time to time!
It caused no problem to anyone, but poor Plant was in a bit of a Tizzy. Understandable as I hate it when things like that happen.
No problem at all though Plant

I hope you have a good aqua session.

Plant - as Gem says, don't give it another thought. I had my own little drama on FB yesterday! Just lately I get posts duplicating themselves and if I hit post before I've checked I find I've got two or even 3 of them. Yesterday I was commenting in a very long thread on a large and busy group. Suddenly I found I'd got about 20 or 30 versions, I'd been reported for spamming and the group's Admin had stopped me posting!!! I got it sorted out and that's when I found out lots of people are having this problem with duplicated posts! I'm reluctant to use FB again until they can sort out their wretched technical glitch! Have a nice chat with your friend in Australia and the other friends in the group, and enjoy your aqua class.

                          Morning ladies ,
Daisy I was in the shower this morning and oh it did feel strange being able to wash my hair in less than 5 mins and it dried so quick , no fighting with it during the night either
Plant it was not a problem I had to laugh as I could imagin you flapping about it , sorry I couldn't help myself
Did my cleaning right through today as don't have GS1 or Dog till Wednesday now DD taken a few days off to get GS1 sorted with his school uniform etc ,
Just been to Morrisons and its upstairs so going for the lift and there was a lady about 80 waiting , she was waiting for someone to go in the lift with her as she was telling us last year she got stuck in Sainsburys lift for 40 mins and so she was scared to go in on her own again , I asked why she hadn't used the moving walkway but she was afraid of that too , She did make us laugh though , she said after they got her out of the lift they sent her home in a Taxi and when she got in her husband said sit down ill make you a cup of tea and put the radio on , she said then Elvis came on singing Caught in a trap hahahaha , She said if I hadn't have been so wobbly I would have thrown the B****y radio out the door we were in fits with her she was so funny .

Oh thanks for letting me in on Plant's faux pas.I am a member of Facebook but only lurk. I reply to my DD's posts occasionally.but otherwise just watch. In fact I only have DD and DS1 as "friends",not DS2 as I'm not sure I want to know what he's up to and I don't think he'd want me to.

We had a very nice evening. Attending a talk by author Val McDermid at the library, followed by a question and answers session and book signing. OH and I then had a nice meal and drove home to catch up with our Soaps and me to do some forum stuff.
