Today is packing for our weeks holiday, cleaning and making up spare bed for cat sitter. Different cat sitter than last week, so has to be done LOL.
I will pop over to mums with her prescription later, apart from that I will be home based.

Sunny atm, I am off to get my hearing aids checked, one keeps making a high pitched whistle, I don't wear them all the time, just in company, at meetings etc. then on to Waitrose to do a shop. DD and SIL are off on holiday again this morning with 3 other couples they have known for a long time, they are going to Montenegro!

Morning ladies ,Josh having his breakfast , dog is in garden asleep so I'm having 5 mins before I do the dishes and no doubt have to clean the bathroom after Josh has his shower
Washing done and dried in tumble its very overcast and no breeze so wont dry outside , Going to make Cinder toffee with Josh later but apart from that no plans for today ,

Chucking it down here but OH is feeling much better and still 3 days meds to go so that's made my day, Gem are you away the same time as us? We are should I say I am packing also, I used to enjoy this job but this year it's a real tow and the thing that bores me most is decantering products into little bottles there s more over the bathroom sink than in the bottle. I would buy at Boots after passing security but I have special products I can only get from my hairdresser otherwise my hair is rubbish on holiday.
Picking up euros today, funny how things can change in a few days I thought we might not get this holiday, OH has even suggested eating out for tea the steroids are making him hungry which is good as he has lost half a stone only weighs 10 stone at the best of times , he will be quite happy to sit in the shade and read his kindle and the odd cuppa it's 29 /30 deg at the mo a bit hot for us but we are fitting in with DDs and school hols, rest of day is housework apart from that I like to come home to a clean house lol

I've just cleaned the windows and now its pouring down with rain


Apparently Vodafone are going to call me this afternoon as my phone is due for an upgrade ! Do I want an upgrade I ask myself because as sure as eggs are eggs it will end up with it costing me more per month . Anyway I will wait and see what its all about. Do you sometimes feel that all this upgrade malarkey is unnecessary sometimes . I am still with the old way of not buying new if what you have is working ok .

I agree Mimi it's the same with car insurance they quote you , you tell them you've had a better quote elsewhere and they match it or quote less why the heck don't they just give a reasonable quote in stead of this argy bargy 🤔
We had a call mid morning today I was due to pick up my euros today from coop travel she asked when was the latest I needed them as there had been an incident in the store room what the heck ! She said she would ring back but so far not heard anything
Now OH tells me we are due hurricane Gertie on Monday I don't think this holiday was meant to be lol

Got caught in heavy showers when out shopping, most unexpected. Got stranded in the car and then in had to wait in Waitrose as it was bucketing down. Very inappropriately dressed for such weather. Just GD2 and myself at home she is working from 6 till close waitressing and GD1 still house sitting until tomorrow.

Had a very nice lunch then decided to go to a local garden centre. Whilst we were there the sky got very black and we had the most terrific storm, comp,tee with thunder and lightning. Didn't last long and now it's sunshine again. Don't you just love English weather 😎☀️☔️🌞

We had several downpours here today and in between lots of sun and very windy. We managed to get 2 lots of washing dry between showers.
