    Good morning ladies.
Another dull day. No rain, which I suppose we should be thankful.
My sore throat is almost gone but I still feel achey and a bit under the weather. Probably some virus picked up from one of the little ones!
GS2 and GD day today. GS has just gone to sleep, I hope he has at least an hour, he hasn't been so good at sleeping here lately. He has a cotbed at home and I wonder if he finds our cot too restrictive? I think his Gran only has an ordinary cot like us though.
Tonight we will be popping into a 15 years old party for a while. J is OHs goddaughter. She was only 4 when OH and I met, time flies!

Oma fingers crossed for a dry wedding day for your nephew tomorrow! I hope you feel less tired soon, rest when you can.

Mimi, good for your sending the housework police to Daisy!

Please don't lock Daisy up, she promises not to use that sucky thing again.

Nice and sunny here today not windy or too hot, just nice. Hope DD and SIL are enjoying their holiday in Ibiza. The two girls are rubbing along but their lives do not match as for meals. Eldest GD has quite a manual job and needs feeding soon after she gets in at 6.00 but although my DD said I didn't need to feed them things haven't quite worked out that way. I cooked eldest GD a dinner yesterday as other GD was going out and would not be back last night. Youngest GD who is a student is working in the local pub/restaurant and works different shifts so really they are like ships that pass in the night. Eldest one went to Waitrose yesterday after work and stocked up the fridge.

Sorry Qwerty it is Eastbourne tennis atm and Wimbledon starts Sat.week.

Hope your feel better soon Gemini

A bit dull here today looking as if could rain any minute but actually hasn't.I could have put the washing out but didn't want to risk it.
Popped out in the garden just long enough to feed the birds who must have missed us while we were away and also to do a bit of deadheading. It's amazing how things have grown in the few days we've been away.
Gem,I hope your virus soon departs and Oma I do hope the weather is kind for the wedding.
DD and family are going "glamping" tonight with five other families for the weekend so fingers crossed it stays dry for them as well.

Oma, hope the weather is kind for the wedding.
I was going to do an online order for Asda, but their site was playing up, so did one with Morrisons instead.
Anyway, i will get points on my Match and More card.
Managed to get some washing out on the line this morning. Now, we keep having the odd shower.Starting to feel quite cool now.
Clover, hope the weather keeps dry for DD family and friends.

Mimi - thank goodness for that! I can stop straight away, before they catch me at it, and I'll promise not to do it again.

The rain's held off here, so I've just mowed the lawn. Far better than using that sucky up thing. I won't be risking that again in a hurry!!!!!!

There's always that awkward stage with toddlers and daytime sleeps. We had to stop GD1 having one in the summer she was 4 because she was starting school in the September, and we didn't think they'd provide a bed for her! GD2 has now stopped having an afternoon nap, but sometimes just wants to sit and cuddle and watch tv for half an hour or so while her batteries recharge. I think she kept the daytime sleep up a bit longer when we promoted her to a full single bed - pushed up against a wall and a pile of duvets on the floor. She was so proud of sleeping in the bid boys' bed!!!! (It's the room the GSs use when they stay.) Qwerty I hope your two continue to have their nap for a while - it gives you a bit of a break.

Good morning everyone I just have to share my amazing, outstanding and extremely surprising news......
I went to bed last night just after 10 and went straight to sleep ! Not only that , I woke about 1ish to go to the bathroom and then went back to sleep . In fact I didn't wake until I could hear OH shouting at the neighbours cat fighting with our cat and this was about 4. I then went back o sleep till just after 6.30 . I know I have most probably used up my whole quota of sleep for the next few months but at the moment I don't care

Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Good morning everyone and happy July! It's well and truly summer - let's hope we get the weather for it.

Mimi - How wonderful! I know sleeping isn't your greatest skill, so that must have been fantastic. Just don't overdo things today and wipe out all that lovely energy you've gained. x

I'm housebound today until our dog food order arrives, but need to tidy up her freezer - and probably ours - because I think I've over ordered!!

Other than that I can go back to my long list of things 'to be done' and pick the nicest tasks off it!

                      Have a good Saturday everyone.

                        Morning everyone.
Mimi what a treat for you to sleep well. Hope you can repeat it soon.
Daisy,I hope you don't have to wait around too long for your delivery and you manage to tick a few things off "that" list. I find things keep getting added to the bottom of mine.
Have a lovely day everyone and I hope the sun shines on us all.

Just an annoying tickly cough now, so I am on the mend
More of last nights party later. I wish my GC didn't have to become teenagers!!!!
Today we have no plans. I must search for the ring though (mentioned on another thread, and thank you all for your very good suggestions)

Mimi, hooray for that good night's sleep!

Mimi well done on the sleep

I have been cleaning my bedrooms and bathroom as I cant get into kitchen Brian is sanding all the work tops down ready to re oil them , everything covered in plastic sheeting , kettle etc in utility so cant get to that , I feel at a loose end not much else I can do till it needs hovering and wiping down so he can oil them , they have to have 3 coats of oil so wont be able to use them till tomorrow , once he has finished sanding I can move the plastic sheets and move kettle etc onto dining room table so they can be used ,

It always looks lovely when they done but the smell of the oil gives me headaches so I will be taking tablets to try stop them before they begin ,

Mimi, what a good nights sleep you had,you must tell me your secret.
We aren't going shopping today, hubby gone to help eldest son, he still can't do much with his arm in plaster.
Then, this afternoon hubby is going to do a job for his dad. Poor lad,he's in demand today.
I'm off to steam clean the kitchen floor now.
Oma, the dust will get anywhere. Will be nice when they are done though.
