Just a quick hello and then I'm off to a BBQ at DS's and DIL's . Hopefully the sneezing will not return with as much force it did yesterday!!!
Hope everyone is well , have a lovely weekend
Good afternoon, ladies. The Daisy lot are back!!! We struck lucky with the weather, didn't we.
It looks as though I've got a lot of catching up to do. It was weird having no access to the outside world! I tried to text Gem to say hi and send my love to you all, but I'm not even sure if that sent, or is still sitting in an outbox somewhere.
I'll try and read up on what's happening on planet GRU later tonight - I've missed you all, but I hope you've been good. xx

Lovely to have you back Daisy.Good weather makes all the difference to a caravan break doesn't it? We had a caravan when the children were young and had some lovely holidays in it.
Oma ,I know it does take ages to power wash and the resulting spray mess takes nearly as long to clean upI bet your house is a shining example to all the others on your road.It certainly would be in mine
Welcome back Daisy.
Qwerty,i'm sure we have seen the signs for Rothwell, when we have been going to Leeds.
Oma, Pontefract is a lovely little towm. It's what we call olde worlde. For some reason,we love it more when weather is like it has been today.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.
Nan2, I don't think I have ever been to Pontefract.
Mimi and Oma, hope you are enjoying the barbecues!
This afternoon I got to use my new sunbed , birthday present from my daughters. It is lovely, stable and so comfy (I chose it myself) I feel as though I am poolside somewhere very nice!
No pool but plenty of sun. 2 of OHs golf friends came round for a while and had a cold drink and a Magnum in the garden with us. Most pleasant!

Good morning one and all. Hubby gone to a car boot sale with his brother,so i'm just pottering, before it gets too warm.
Having said that,it's very warm already.

I've just read through everything I've missed while I was gallivanting in sunny Wareham (Dorset). We really couldn't have picked better weather! It's only about an hour from home, so we had most of Wednesday to relax - after doing battle with a new blow up awning! We thought it would be easier than the pole-type one that came with the caravan. In a way it was easier! It was too heavy for OH and me to lift on to the track, so two very kind gentleman came hurrying over to help. So I was let off trying to sort out what goes where! I'll write about what we did in my journal, but as always, it was relaxing and feels as though we've been away for much longer than 4 days.
I got most of the washing done last night, so just have to do some housework and make up bed for OH's BIL and SIL who arrive tomorrow. Then I can get back to sorting out the dining room! I unpacked china etc last night (I was a busy bee!!) The rug OH loves and I don't want is still rolled up in the kitchen, so we'll have to make a decision today.
Clover - I bet you've got lots of happy memories of your caravan holidays. We had a staatic van when our sons were children and spent as much time there as we possibly could.
Gem - your sunlounger sounds perfect for this fantastic weather. I do hope your cat is just feeling the effects of the hot weather, but it does sound as though he's feeling better.
Qwerty and Oma - you are both most welcome, anytime! I am quite good about cleaning the caravan after we've used it, but the professional BB touch would make all the difference. I hope your OH gets his scan results asap - it's horrible waiting. My DIL2's dad has pneumonia last year and he had to have several scans for the same reason, but eventually he was given the all clear and they decided it was just part of the recovery from the pneumonia.
Nanto - your poor DS. I hope things will be much better when he goes back to the hospital on Monday.
Oma - your friend's mum is in good hands, and I'm sure they are keeping her as comfortable as possible. xx
Whatever you're doing today, ladies, enjoy the sunshine.

Good morning ladies , we have DS and kids coming soon didn't come yesterday , We went to Martins for a BBQ instead , MIL got Tipsy she stumbled into our car to go home and fell out the other end but she insisted she wasn't tipsy at all made sure she was safely indoors before we came away
DD SIL & J all off to a football tournament for the day so we on dog duty . GD afraid of dogs so will wait till they go home to pick him up ,
Daisy don't do to much today its going to be a scorcher and you will be tired for your family's visit tomorrow .
Have a lazy day ladies xxx
OH and I are meeting DD2, GD and baby GS at Newby Hall and gardens. We are taking a picnic (and sunscreen) and hopefully a good day will be had by all.
I have had my breakfast (melon and pain au raisin) in the garden, and am just finishing my coffee before having a shower and getting ready to leave. A wonderful start to the day!
OH has once again been roped in to water her friends garden while they are away in the Lakes. As it is so sunny and dry it has to be done! It is about 10 minutes drive away. She has gone to do that so no lesisurely start to her day. But then she has just been on holiday
Qwerty, I hope you have a lovely day with your GD.
Daisy, I'm sure your break did you lots of good. Look forward to reading about it in your journal!

Lordy Lordy we promised DD and g/d a picnic I am doing the food DD is bringing the drink, it's because her daddy is in Portugal sweltering in 35 deg, but never thought it would get as warm as it's going to be today seemed a good idea at the timeππβ±We have already changed the venue once as it's the day after an 80's concert could be a bit messy today so we have decided to go to Wakefield 7 miles from us called Pugneys park it's a water sports lake and bird watching place and not a lot of shade not many trees π² I feel hot and bothered already . Enjoy your day everybody ππ»
Had a nice morning with the youngest two , they left about 15 minutes ago , B went and picked dog up ,I gave him a ice cream sandwich now he's flat out in the shade ,
Just went to put oven on to do some part baked rolls for lunch and the damn thing has broken , B searching on line to see if its fixable if not after Hospital in the morning we will have to go buy a new oven
We ended up having to go to the garage for bread and bought a couple of Cornish pasty's for lunch .
It's a schorcher here today so another day chilling in the garden in the shade. Although I have done some bits on the computer, emails etc so not completely lazy. I am now in the middle of making a photo collage for DDs 50th party on Saturday, some lovely memories there amongst the photos. Her friend has made loads of bunting and acetate lanterns for battery candles, so all is coming together nicely.
We we have a Dine in for Β£10 meal from M&S tonight for Fathers Day, the lemon herb chicken is delicious and it lasts a couple of days .
Welcome me home Daisy, what a week you picked. Enjoy your visitors.
