Utterly selfish to sit there while you slogged yourself. Sorry if it had been me I would of said " oh if your not busy, you can help." Remember when youngest DD moved into her house, and the MIL was doing stupid things with pots in the garden and informing anyone who would listen what type of shrubs were there. Joe soap here was sweating buckets cleaning.

Enfys,I'm glad you had a lovely time in Wales. It doesn't always rain here.
Nanto I'd be rather annoyed too. Well done for holding your tongue.I just hope you're not expected to clear up after the celebration.
We enjoyed the film"Hidden Figures" It was based on the true story of three exceptional African American women whose mathematical prowess was vital to America's space race in the Sixties. It was a time of prejudice not only against "coloured" but women in positions of responsibility. One of the women had to run nearly half a mile across the complex to reach and use the "coloured" restroom.

Good morning from sunny Wales. Enjoying our last view over beautiful Cardigan Bay before our journey home.

                  Good morning

Safe journey Enfys. I'm sorry, I was rushing you back to early, as I said welcome home to you last night!!

Baby GS all day today. No GD to collect from school as she is going ot the after school film club tonight. It is sunny day and OH is around all day, so we will take the baby for a walk.

My skin is a bit sore and itchy over the radiation area, so it kept me awake a bit last night. It continues to 'cook' for 10 to 14 days then begins to improve. Something to look forward to LOL.

                  Have a good day everyone.
A good day to be born as Nan2's FIL, GS's twin GC and my DD3 all have birthdays today

Good morning everyone. It looks as though we're in for another dull, rather chilly day. The west of Scotland is beginning to look a good place to live - they're having much warmer weather than us on the south coast!

I hope all the birthday boys and girls are having a great day - it certainly seems to be a popular time to arrive in this world.

Nanto - I do hope your FiL enjoys his big day, and I hope the rest of the family pull their weight with clearing up afterwards etc. I'd make sure you have plenty of tea towels handy for all the 'volunteers'.

Enfys - safe journey home - get your winter woolies out again!

Gem - I didn't realise the radiation effect continued so long afterwards. I hope it's not too troublesome - a girl needs her beauty sleep. Have a lovely day with GS2.

I'm going to make a determined effort to make our living room habitable - it's still got most of the dining room furniture in, and it will have to stay there until OH has finished hand sanding the floor and decorated. But it's driving me mad, and I'm fed up with all the dust. So any passing bleach babes are welcome to pop in and join in the fun!!

This is the photo of Dad in the local paper today.
A lot of people will remember him from his younger days.

Morning ladies a bit of Sad day for me , its 45 years since my Dearest Dad passed away and it still feels like yesterday it hurts so much ,

Nan2, I can't see the photo I'm afraid, I'm glad it got into the paper on time.
These days are sad Oma, sending Hugs to you. Sun is out here too
Daisy, they describe it rather like a microwave which continues cooking after we remove the food. I didn't really realise this myself. I fondly imagined improvement would begin as soon as the last treatment was done, not 2 weeks later!
It was DD2s best friends mums funeral yesterday. She was only my age, so I really shouldn't complain about a bit of temporary radiation burning!

                            Afternoon ladies.
Its a bit on the windy side here. I did attempt to do some gardening but the wind got on my nerves. I potted up two hanging baskets and then I had enough , the potting compost was getting in my eyes. I have put everything away and I will try again tomorrow.
Oma I understand about your dad, the passing of the years doesn't make it any easier does it ?

Gem, hope the sore and itchy skin gets better soon. All this 'cooking' will be doing you good I would think, all part of the treatment.
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Dull this morning but it has been very hot this afternoon, too hot in my sunroom.
