I'm at my DD1'S looking after her youngest while she tries to get on top of things. OH still not well so he went back home. Dd2 had midwife check again today. Baby's not lost any weight but is gaining nicely. All well there.😆

It's been cold a gloomy here as well today.
I finally got round to making some parsnip and apple soup to freeze, ready for some friends coming for lunch next Friday. I need to get ahead with a busy week with the GCs. I got 3 out of 4 lots of bedding washed as well. Off to cook dinner now.
Clover - swap you a sock drawer for a load of ironing ?
Nana - your poor OH. I hope he had a nice peaceful afternoon and feels better soon. Is the baby gorgeous, very gorgeous or super gorgeous? x

The soup sounds lovely Daisy. Do you have the recipe?
Out for our walk this morning, boy, was it cold. Icy wind, so we cut the walk short, just not nice . Managed to get some cooking done, this afternoon, meals for the freezer and did some online banking. So,not a wasted day.

Enfys - it is, and very easy. I'll pop the recipe on the Recipes thread tomorrow.
Clover - Wow, another exciting day planned for tomorrow.
Nanto - I like nice tidy drawers and cupboards, but somehow they don't stay that way long enough.
Weather-wise, I think it will be getting warmer next week. Not before time.

Hello everyone.
A cold miserable day here. When we set out this morning the only people out and about were dog walkers. All looking pretty miserable and all bundled up!
OH and I had 10am appointments at Boots opticians. Her to collect glasses and me for an eye test.
After that we had coffee and brunch in Tesco cafe. Then I suddenly remembered I needed to be back to do Animal Kingdom Fastppasses, so we rushed home!
Soon we are going to see my mum, then home to stay warm and dry for the rest of the day.
Oma, I agree with the others, rest as much as possible to help your body fight this cold.
I was sorry to hear that your BIL has to have an operation and I hope all goes well for him.
I'm sure the baby is super gorgeous Nana“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

I decided to tell DS to not come with the children 1 I feel like rubbish ,2 I don't want children catching it ,
Gem Martin should have had this op before but he wouldn't have it till B had his Bone marrow , he has a hole in his ear canal that leads to his brain it has to be repaired and only way it can be done is take a large part of his skull away around the ear , it's a big op and he could be left with other complications like epilepsy , deafness, and other things but it has to be done , it's a very rare thing only 2 surgeons in this country do this op . He will be very off balance and vomiting due to it for the first week , but Surgeon said he should be well enough to fly to America in 7 weeks , so recovery must be very quick
meant to say it was caused by the massive head injury he got smashing himself up on his Motor bikeLast edited by Oma; 12-02-2017, 01:49 PM.Im not fat just 6ft too small
