I think Nan2 will be on her way now, hopefully to a lovely holiday.

OH is in a golf competition today. I need to pop to the supermarket for a few things, and buy GS2 a birthday present on behalf of my mum.

This afternoon I am having reflexology, then eating out with 2 of my best friends tonight. Not a bad day

Good morning everyone ,going to browse the shops later waiting for someone to turn up at 10 ,I posted my sitting room light on Gumtree last night and within 5 mins it was sold 😊 , Decorator coming tomorrow so won't get out then I'm after a new spring Mac ,I have one but it's getting old now ,the weather is getting to the point it's to warm for a heavy coat but to cold for just a jacket , need a in between coat 😊 have a good day ladies xxx

Coffee morning for me with local National Trust Group, weather not so good today.

Nice visit to J Lewis yesterday DD took the two GGM's We all did very well, two long sleeved tee shirts for me. Finished up with tea in their restaurant.

Good afternoon all.
Its been on the chilly side here this morning but at last the sun is starting to shine. OH is putting even more lights in the garden as I type. Honestly I fully expect to see planes trying to land on our lawn this evening .
As he was outside and out of earshot I managed to book a table at a restaurant for a surprise family lunch in May. It will be on a Sunday as that's the only time we can all be together , it will be just a few days before his 70th birthday. Family is under strict instructions not to ring me about it, they have to Facebook messenger me, I don't want him finding out what we have planned. Now I've just got to sort out a present for him, what do you buy someone who has every thing he wants and needs ?

Oma I love my M and S mac, I've had it for a few years now, it washes well and ( close your eyes at this bit Oma ) it never needs ironing !

New curtains for the bathroom have been put up and the old ones have been taken to the charity shop.
Haven't done any painting this week as I haven't really had the time, tomorrow I have to go to town and that only leaves Thursday, Friday is out of the question as DS is coming for lunch.

we have decorator coming at 8.30 so curtains down in bedrooms and living room , everything covered in plastic , mirrors pictures TV etc etc
Didn't sleep well last night next door is separated from us by a alley way and there gate had been left open so it banged and banged and the gate is below our bedroom , I know they were up till at least 2 am as sitting room light was on , i tried to close the gate but couldn't reach the bolt , about 2.30 B finally went out took her plant pot from under her window and wedged the gate open with it , they sleep on far side of house so they not bothered but must have still heard it . I was going to knock but if she was downstairs herself as she often is as she's a bad sleeper too , someone knocking on her door at 2 in the morning would have scared the life out of her , xx

Good morning everyone. Sorry I didn't make it as far as Chatbox yesterday - it was a long day!!

Nanto - I'm so sorry I wasn't here to wish you 'happy holiday'. I hope you've had a good journey and are now relaxing in glorious sunshine and having a great time.

Oma - your decorating plans are very well organised. What colour are you doing the kitchen? A lot of us seem to be in the throes at the moment - it must be spring! - so I'll start a separate thread to compare the highs and lows! Banging gates adn doors are a menace - it's such a random sound and makes you jump every time.

Gem - have a lovely time with your auntie - I know you enjoy her company, and I'm sure she will love having both you and OH to entertain her. xx

Mimi - Well done on booking lunch for your OH's 70th. I still shudder at the arrangements we made for my OH's 70th. The whole family contributed to a flight in a WWII Spitfire. We managed to keep the secret from him for 5 months until his birthday in October, with incredibly complicated arrangements involving baby and pet sitting, hotels, and plausible stories. Then on the Thursday before the Saturday event, he reminded me that he would be out on the Friday evening (when we should have been travelling up to DS1's), so we worked a solution to that, and then that Thursday evening DS1, who was the point of contact with Classic Wings, got a message to say that the plane was out of action for a whole week, and there were no more free slots that autumn. So all our planning, secrecy and subterfuge was wasted. When he eventually got the flight, the following April, he absolutely loved it, but it put me off planning surprises!

Daisy its just the ceilings hes doing they are white , ceilings are the only decorating job I cant manage now , hes doing all the ceilings in the house so I don't have to bother with them for a while
