Mimi, we haven't had kippers for years, and i mean years.

Oh dear, hope B isn't getting your cold.Good news for the hickman lines coming out next month.

Oma, I'm feeling good thank you for asking. The soreness, I came to realise wasn't actually either of the scars, but an area in between! I told the consultant last week and she said an awful lot of nerves in that area would have been disturbed, with two sites so close, and would gradually improve. It is hardly sore at all now really. Driving etc is no problem. I am still going easy regarding carrying anything heavy however, as it is only 6 weeks this Wednesday.
I hope B hasn't caught your cold but good that keep such a close eye on him, and are not concerned.

        All good with GS1 again

Oma - I do hope Brian isn't getting your cold, but at this time of year I think we all have lower resistance to the various bugs. Take care of yourself. I hope your glucose levels are ok tomorrow. Nana - I hope your OH gets the all clear on his blood test tomorrow. Plant - that sounds like a nice day - hairdo, bowls and embroidery group - I hope you've had a lovely time.

Mimi - I've been thinking about those kippers all day! Bran flakes and fruit doesn't compare at all.

Clover - did you brave the elements for a walk? Yes, we will have more growing space - at the moment there's a small, struggling lilac tree, a dead climbing rose and a sadly deceased eycalyptus tree. I also hope I'll be able to grow something in front of the compost bins to hide them a bit as well.

GD2 was really tired after playgroup today. She's teething (it seems never ending!) and grumpy, and even after a good nap after lunch she was still tearful. We had lots of cuddles and I read to her until my voice was going. Then GD1 came home from school. They wanted to ice some cakes they'd made yesterday, but it was difficult to get the writing icing out of the tubes and GD2 ended up in tears. Then there were more tears
when the game she was playing with GD1 didn't go her way. Not one of her better days, bless her. I hope she's feeling better tomorrow. I'm bringing her over to our house, and hoping that her cousins, along with their dog, who she hasn't met yet, arrive before she has to go home. I'm not going to tell her they are coming for a sleep over, just in case they get here too late to see her.

Gem - you are making a very good recovery. I think with any operation you can have pain from disturbed nerves for a while afterwards, but you are doing very well - all fit and ready for your holiday.xx Glad GS1 was the big sensible boy he can be.

Daisy, yes we did go out for an hours walk.Actually it wasn't as cold as I feared. We did the same walk a few days ago and the wind was like an icy knife. I know dog owners have to go out daily but if you don't have to it's easy to get lazy and find some excuse. I tell myself it's good for OH and me too I suppose.

Clover - well done. Yes, I always feel better for a walk, in any weather - even if the best part is coming back into a warm house and relaxing in front of the wood burner with a hot drink.

Your walk sounds lovely Clover, a lovely part of the country you live in.

I hope Brian is okay Oma, don't want him catching your cold. Hope your tests were okay

You did have a difficult time amusing your GD's Daisy, teething and tiredness can make little ones tearful. Have a lovely time with your other GC and the dog.
