Good morning everyone.
Brr, very cold and frosty here, but the sun is peeping through. OH in a golf competition later. Rather her than me!!
GS1 day. Considering my experince last week, and those same roadworks being in place, I am going to leave a lot of time!
I'm fine today. As long as GS doesnt want to launch himself at me or lean on my left side, all will be well
I have posted about yesterdays hospital appointment on YEO. Daisy told me that it doesn't show on new posts, so some members may have missed it.
Oma, how are you? Lots of luck for OHs chemo. We are all behind you both, all the way.βA grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.β β Unknown

A very cold and frosty morning here, thermals on for walkies today. I have school run and girls back here today instead of take home. DD is working from home and has a very important report to write up. Its definitely a nice hot casserole day. Keep warm and safe everyone."What doesn't kill us,makes us stronger."

GS was a total beast when I picked him up, for no discernable reason. Crying behaving like a baby, refusing to come with me, wanting mummy. I'm still a bit delicate from yesterday, and from the cold which my sore throat turned into. After 10 minutes I managed to persuade him to get into the car. Then he remembered my story CDs and cheerfully settled back with his apple juice. Dual personality or what?!!βA grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.β β Unknown

To add insult to injury, although he was perfectly calm and happy when we got home, he had taken his shoes off and refused to put them on. He told me I could carry him -a large 4 year old. I told him I have sore arm and doctor said I can't lift anything today. So, he had to walk from car in socks!βA grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.β β Unknown

I went out this morning to get some raffle tickets for one of my sites and to get some money from the machine in town. Machine would not give me money. Odd, I checked bank this morning and two salaries have gone in so we are "rolling in it" - well not quite but you know what I mean? Went across the road to another machine, NOPE, no money there either so I used my second current account, the one I use for holidays. Got Β£50 out and went to shop to get raffle tickets and also saw some nice boxes for the children's Christmas Eve Boxes so bought them. Put the second account card in the machine, put in pin number wrong number - yes I know it was, I put in the number for the other card! Anyway upshot is that the card was declined and again, I know for sure there is plenty of money in there. Paid cash.
Got home and phoned Barclays. They stopped the card because of unusual spending. Eh? How can Sainsbury on line be unusual spending when I have been doing it every week for over two years, almost three. Sainsbury then phoned saying they couldn't take the payment and I told them I know why and the card had been unblocked so they took the money eventually. Why does it have to be so difficult? I haven't received an email or a phone call from Barclays and I checked the account as soon as I got back and there is nothing wrong with the account. I cannot get into the other account as I have to unblock the pin at a machine. GGGRRRRRRR
Other than that it has been a busy morning workwise and I even found time to clean the bathroom - ooh err missus that is a bit radical for me isn't it??If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together

They say the terrible two's but with GS1 it was the terrible 2, 3, 4 & 5's Gem π These little people keep us on our toes eh. Lovely to see your graphics back Nan2. It was -4 here this morning.
Oma I'm pleased to hear Brian's treatment is progressing but sorry to hear it's made him so ill.
Sometimes bank cards are more trouble than they're worth. If you're rolling in it Zizi you can always send a little my way.π€
Libra, I was pleased to see you dressed for Antarctica on Fbk. Hope you've got a pair of thermal undies.
I saw the doc this morning about this blumming cough & he's referring me to the heart specialist. The last twice I've seen him my pulse has been over the hundred mark. I'm not worried as the appointment will probably come through this time next yearπ

I'm sorry some posts still need approval. As you can imagine, we're proceeding with caution, but will get it back to normal as soon as possible. Carry on posting and the tick of approval will be added as quickly as possible.
LG - I wasn't sure who had the thermals - you or Shiloh - until I saw your photo on FB.
Oma - I'm sorry Brian had such a bad night. I do hope he's feeling a bit better today and is ready for the big day tomorrow. How are you feeling? xxx
Gem - not the best day for GS1 to have a hissy fit. They seem to know, don't they! GD2 flatly refused to wear a hat when we took their dog out for a walk this morning. Then after 5 minutes she complained her ears were cold. Heartless Grandma just pulled the hood up on her coat, but she said it didn't help! I hope your cold isn't getting any worse, and doesn't stop you sleeping tonight. You must be exhausted.
Elisi - you sounded very under the weather - I hope you're over the worst.
Zizi - I'd love the banks to explain exactly what constitutes an 'unusual' payment. A few months ago I had a payment refused as well. It was for an annual subscription which I've had for 7 or 8 years, and I queried in what way that could be unusual. They didn't know, but it was, so there!!! I hope it gets sorted out before you flash the plastic again. Clean bathroom? You are dipping your toes in the Cleaning Freaks' camp!!! Be careful they might try to lure you in with an extra sparkling clean glass of fizz!
Nana - I do hope they don't take that long for your hospital appointment, but the cough may well have gone before they check it out. Take care in this cold weather. xx
Nanto - I bet your parents were pleased to see you back. I hope the cold hasn't been too much of a shock.

It is thick frost here minus 3 degrees YUK. The tube line that serves me is on severe delays due to damage done to wheels of tube trains by......... Leaves. You couldn't make it up could you? A country like ours and leaves can damage trains to the degree of grounding a whole line!!! I shall be working from home this week as the main line train is completely stuffed with everyone taking a different route. Daft.If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together
