Oma, I take it you didn't have a good night then ? Your 'selfie 'is a complete giveaway.

Good morning all. It looks cold and damp outside this morning. I got up, put our cat out and I've gone back to bed .

I am hoping for a better day than yesterday. As I was on my way to my yoga class my hip and back started to ache. I explained to my yoga teacher and bless her she added a few poses that were aimed at back and hip problems. Sadly it didn't help me much . The ache turned into pain making movement very hard so I had to take some very strong pain killers which in turn made me sleepy . I spent most of the evening dozing on the sofa !

Have a lovely day everyone and keep warm.
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

        Good Sunday morning everyone.

Oma - I love the graphic - that's my default early morning mode!

Mimi - poor you, that sounds very painful. Have a quiet day today - no decorating/gardening/housework or anything else that will make your back and hip worse.

We're hoping to get down to the allotment today. Hopefully there will be goodies - cabbage, leeks, cavalo nero - and we're going to try once more planting garlic to overwinter. Usually it gets flooded and the cloves just rot in the ground. But ever the optimist ...

You may stil find some posts are flagged for approval. This is no reflection on you at all, so just post away and we'll tick the approval box as as soon as we see them.

            Good morning everyone.

Oma I hope your OH is feeling OK, say hi to him from us all.

Mimi, ouch! I sympathise. I can't take painkillers like cocodamol as they make me drowsy and 'out of it'. Not a feeling I like. I would have been a rubbish druggie!!

            Enjoy your Sunday

Afternoon ladies I am going to come out in sympathy with all you ladies in pain or discomfort. I am very uncomfortable in my mid section, due to tripping over tree roots on the walk with the dog yesterday. I managed not to fall twice but did 2 amazing trips by not spotting blessed tree roots poking out the ground, I must have jerked awkwardly though as I am very achy today. Swallowed some Ibruprofen hopefully will ease the discomfort. I need to pay better attention where Im placing my size 4's. Fingers crosssed it will be better in a day or two, only muscular. Bitterly cold today, we had to go to the DIY store to choose wallpaper and bits and bobs for the spare bedroom. Long overdue for a makeover and new carpet, will not be spending a fortune as its a facelift for when we put the bungalow on the market. We have a list of jobs which although not major, do need doing to make it more marketable.

Hoping you feel better soon Libra, after ibuprofen and a rest. Tree roots are so easy to fall over

Libra and Mimi I hope the aches and pains soon subside. When we went for a walk in the woods today the carpet of fallen leaves was very pretty but was concealing lots of potentially hazardous roots.

Well, I had my shingles vaccination on Friday and have had no side affects so recommend having it.

I am just recovering from spending all yesterday at my church Victorian Christmas market. I had been collecting toys since August and made just over two hundred pounds on my stall, a big improvement from last year.I did wonder if I had underpriced things but most things went. I now have my guest bedroom back after storing everything there. We all dress in costume and the stalls have roofs and mock wheels to look like carts.

Good to know you had no ill effects from the shingles jab, Millie.
The Victorian Christmas market sounds lovely. I bet you are glad to have your spare room back

Too true Clover! Last night was the first night, since I fell on Monday, that I could lie on my right side in bed, with no pain!

Had a really lazy day today after our trip to Wales and the Royal Mint yesterday. It was a very long day but so interesting. We had a brilliant tour guide, a lovely young Welshman with a great sense of humour and he really made the day for us. We will be looking at our currency with different eyes now, so much history involved and it was well worth the long journey.

so not much done today, although if did blitz the bathroom this morning and cleaned out the kitchen cupboards but this afternoon just chilled out with my crochet and I pad.

LG - it's disgraceful how these tree roots pop out of the ground to trip us up. Mind you, some people can fall over a cabbage stalk. Now I'm not saying that's what I did at the allotment today, but ... well, I nearly ended up head first in a huge water container!

Enfys - that does sound an interesting day out, and having a fantastic guide makes all the difference. What are you crocheting?

Millie B - well done - that's a tidy sum to raise on a toy stall. Everybody expects things for 50p, so you must be a very good sales lady.
