LIbra I'm sorry you've lost your little friend. It sounds as if he passed away in his sleep and 7 years is a very good age. I always had guinea pigs as a child and when my GC had them I think I loved them more than they did. They all have heir own little characters.
Daisy I hope your sorting out of the dining room goes well. You put me to shame as there is an awful lot of sorting out I mean to do but never seem to get round to.

LG - how sad. You will miss your little furry one. they re such cute creatures, and as you say, they all have different personalities. I wasn't allowed small furry pets as a child, but my best friend had lots - rabbits, guinea pigs, tropical fish, birds and a dog! I loved both her rabbits and her guinea pigs and often helped with cleaning them out, etc.

Clover - the dining room has been on my list for about 16 years - don't feel under pressure to get on with your 'To Do' list.

Libra, sorry to hear about your furry friend. We used to have guinea pigs when the kids were little.

Pets become a part of our family no matter how small , when my Cockateil died I was heart broken . People said we'll it was only a bird , to me he was my baby I couldn't replace him .

Menna came to say goodbye,we were under strict instructions not to bury him until she had seen him. A few tears were shed. He will be buried under the Apple tree next to his brother tomorrow. M is going to paint a pebble to put on his grave.

                      Good morning everyone.
Today we are having Sunday lunch at the golf club. OH and friends had planned to play golf first, but the weather isn't good so it's just lunch.
I reserved an electric blanket from Argos for my mum so I will collect that first.
Tonight I am going to see Fantastic Beasts, the JK Rowling film. With DDs 2 and 3, DD2's MIL, and a friend. We are a group who have seen other HP films together. DD1 has defected and is going another time with friends

Nanto - I'm pleased to hear you got all your packing done. Is it still 14 paris of shoes? How sweet that Rosie is going to miss you so much. I bet she wishes she could go with you. Is it an early start tomorrow?

Good morning all, hope you didn't suffer at the hands of storm Angus. It was very windy here but nothing compared to some parts of the UK.

Gem enjoy the film, I have seen the trailer and it looks very good. I notice Eddie Redmayne is in it, he is also in The Danish Girl and I watched that on Sky tv the other day and that was really good.
Nana2 14 pairs of shoes ?? That's never going to be enough surely !

Has anyone used Vanish carpet cleaner, is it any good ? I've done a tester spot on the carpet in the bedroom to make sure that it doesn't take the colour out and we plan to do the sitting room tomorrow if it's ok.

I'm going to try and get some online Christmas shopping done today. Haven't a clue where I am going to start .

                            Have a lovely day everyone.
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Mimi, I adore Eddy Redmayne. I would probably watch him reading the telephone directory I first saw him in The Theory of Everything, playing Stephen Hawking, brilliantly, then in The Danish Girl.

                                Enjoy your holiday, Nan2.

would like to see that film Gem, have seen all the HP ones and have them on DVD too.

We went for a lovely park this morning through the park and up onto the common, quite a few twiggy branches down and lots of leaves everywhere but otherwise all looked ok. It was a bit windy but not very cold so we enjoyed it.

I bought a little Pom Pom maker the other day so am going to make a few for a mantel garland I have planned. Have a nice day everyone
