Plant and Oma. I've had a look at your time settings. Oma, yours looked right, but mine did too, but was showing the wrong time! I changed the settings in yours and mine so that it doesn't automatically accept DST - ie we will have change it back manually when the clocks go forward in the spring. If it's still not right, let us know.
Plant - In the list of world time, yours was showing GMT + 1. I clicked on that and the drop down list appears. I changed it to GMT, so hopefully yours is ok now. You had already selected No for automatic adjustment for DST.

Good morning! Chilly but sunny here.
Daisy, thanks for sorting that out. I'd had rather a trying afternoon with mother, then a lovely relaxing evening reflexology treatment . I wanted to stay in Relax mode, so wasn't up for any forum work
A while ago I bought a Groupon offer for afternoon tea for 2 at a garden centre. It run out soon, and OH and I have little spare time together in the week, so we earmarked today as the day. I want to look at the Christmas stuff there, then have the afternoon tea as our lunch.
Tonight OH invited me to go to night golf at her club! We will watch some of the golf, then have a meal in the clubhouse.

Good morning, Nanto and everyone. Nanto - I hope whatever comes today is something nice.
Friday already - how this week's flown by.
Gem - oh dear!
Plant - glad your clock is now showing the right time.
A busy day for me today. We have OH's niece and her husband coming for dinner tonight. I'm cooking beef in light ale (one of my Delia fail-safes) but haven't decided on pudding yet. Has anyone got any tips of getting lump-free mashed potatoes? I'd decided a potato ricer was the way to go, but couldn't get one when I was shopping yesterday, so any suggestions would be welcome.

Morning everyone.
Daisy I use a hand held electric mixer for mashing potatoes.
Off to my cleaning job soon then I hope to plant tulips if the weather is okay.I think I'll have to put a warmer coat on today..Seems strange having to do that when the cosmos are still in full bloom with lots of buds.

Clover - thanks for that. I've always done them by hand in case I over-mix and it ends up a gloopy mess. Perhaps I just need to take it more gently with the mixer. I hope you get your tulips planted ok. Your Cosmos re doing well - mine are over, and most of the other summer bedding plants are dead or looking sorry for themselves. I'm still on daff planting. It was very chilly yesterday and I was glad of an extra layer.
