Morning all, we had heavy rain all day yesterday and all through the night, but it looks like it is starting to brighten up, lets hope so...

OH at work this morning 5am start cleaning the Motor Ways, so should be in for dinner, not that i am making one....

Nothing much happening today, waiting for a phone call about my kitchen from the manager of the store, why are kitchens the worst thing to sort out, had the kitchen planner here and stressed to him about pipes at the end of the kitchen leading from the combi so the units had to go past the pipes i even made my own plan with the unit sizes, i stupidly didnt look at the size of the units he ordered and has changed 2 of the sizes so now the units finish right smack bang in the middle of the pipes so leave unsightly pipes at the end so will need boxed in, grrrrr think my next job is a kitchen designer could have done it better myself....

        Good morning everyone.
        Dull here just now.
Plant that did sound like a lovely day.
Pearl, I'm sorry you are having kitchen woes too!

Last night we ate out with 3 friends. The friend who booked it said it was called The Indian Lounge. When we Googled it the Indian restaurant on the street she said it was, was The Mumbai Lounge. We told friend this a couple of days ago, but she was adamant it was The Indian Lounge. As we all appoached Mumbai Lounge, friend realised (after frantically checking her phone) that she had in fact booked us into the Indian Lounge, somewhere else completely! So we had a fair walk to get to the restaurant we were actually booked into. If only people would listen
The meal was quite good though.
Out for lunch today. Friends are having buffet lunch for few of us. OH in a golf competition this morning, so we shall go separately.

Morning ladies raining and dull again , going to Brians brothers for lunch about 45 minutes away looking forward to it as it's always hilarious when we all get together , Brian &Martin bounce off each other with their wit 😊 Then sort out for tomorrow's invasion , Josh coming at 9 then DS with Oliver &Sophia at 10, orders have already been made for lunch tomorrow , Sophia wants Cheese pizza the boys want Pepperoni
then jelly and ice cream for pudding with sprinkles and sauce. I foresee lots of mess and full tummies 😊

Morning ladies.its a very dull day here but it least it's not raining, unlike yesterday when it poured down all day and night.

Our one GS goes back to school tomorrow and our other two go back on Wednesday. It will be eldest GS last year at school and he has always set his mind on joining the police force so we will see what road he takes from then.
Gem , you are right, "If only people would listen " I am usually the last person anymore listens to but when things go belly up,they turn around and say, "Why didn't you tell us" Unbelievable! Enjoy your lunch out today.
Oma brace yourself for tomorrow so enjoy today.
Have a relaxing weekend (what's left of it ) everyone, hope the sun does decide to make an appearance some time today.
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Pearl we also have boiler pipe blocking in issues. We paid the fitters cash to solve the problem but of course they didn't, I told husband not to pay them until it was done but does he listen? NOPE? Wren the kitchen company have promised they will block the pipes in fre of charge but I just do not believe a single word that they say any more.

Plant - what a lovely family day you had. I bet you're not doing much cooking today!

Zizi - you're right about London living having different problems, and also different advantages. Our nearest serious opportunity for retail therapy is half an hour's drive away (or more), our internet connection is the famous missing 5% of BT's 95% high speed coverage, and there's no immediate prospect of that changing, in the winter driving in the dark is a nail biting activity with various animals keen on self-destruction on the bonnet of your car, in the summer ditto with tourists. If you want something exotic like dairy-free spread don't try your local village Tesco Express or Sainsbury's Local. Every journey north from here is calculated on their being a traffic jam, because there usually is one. But, the parking clocks are brilliant and if I could give you one I would!

GD1 and both GSs go back to school on Tuesday, and GD2 to playgroup on Friday. Very mixed feeling about the end of the summer holidays!

the sun has let us down today, but at least it's been dry. I do hope it warms up this week - it's too early to start digging out the thermals.

Morning from a wet Poole, I have 2 loads of washing to get done so hoping the forecast is correct. As it is supposed to brighten up later, we shall see. Not sure when my girlies return to school, the local school on my doorstep went back last Thursday. I have no work until next Tuesday hooray. An elderly couple at my place of work are getting married today, both in their early 80s, the Bournemouth Echo will attend the wedding as it is the 1st ever wedding we have had at MC in the 20 years it has existed. Only the GM and FM invited none of us minions, the wedding is at the Harbour Heights hotel.

                                Good morning all.
Oh I hate those nights mimi.
Interesting evening yesterday. Friends phoned to say that had a power cut which was due to last a couple of hours longer. Their chicken was partially cooked! We switched our oven on and they came round in the car with their food and continued cooking their meal at ours, and ate it in our dining room.
This was no problem, and its always good to see them. However, as we had been out to some other friends for a buffet lunch, we decided not to cook that night. Once they had gone leaving the smell of their chicken dinner behind, I would have done almost anything for a good meal. I made do with toast.

We are hitting the cheap shops this morning, and I will visit my mum at some point.
