Oh Mimi, so sorry i forgot about mentioning your anniversary, but with grandaughters bad news, everything else seemed to slip my mind.
Went into town shopping,we goth wore thick coats as it was cold and raining, but later it warmed up and the sun came out.

Just had a couple of hours with grandaughter and her partner, they are both sad about losing the baby, but their new house should be ready in August/September, so they are going to try and focus on that.
Anyway,we took her a huge bunch of oriental lillies, which we know she loves(must take after me) and took her partner 2 huge bars of chocolate that he likes.
She did say to me Nannan what did i do wrong. told her she didn't do anything wrong at all, but these things happen sometimes.
    Bless her.

Mimi, happy belated anniversary to you and hubby
Your poor GD, nan2, I'm sure the flowers and chocolates helped cheer them up a a bit.

Night in tonight OH has cooked

DD2 is taking part in a midnight walk in York in aid of the local hospice tonight . She is in a team with her best friend and family, in memory of her friend's mum who recently spent her last days in the hospice. I hope the rain stays away for them.

Good morning everyone - love the sunny graphic, Nanto.

OH is out most of today - wood turning demonstration. The paddock where were exercise Eva is 'Open' today for the village's open gardens. I'll go along later, but I've promised to pot up some tomatoes and a cucumber for DS2 so I'll go over and do that, plus getting ready for visitors in a week's time - we're hoping to get a few days in the caravan this coming week, so I need to get my skates on!

Catch up with you all later.

                Good morning everyone.
Windy and cloudy, but there is sun and NO RAIN!!

We are going out for lunch to a lovely pub which does great Sunday roasts and plenty of veggie options for the non meat eaters. Me, OH, DD1 with GS1, DD and SIL2 with GD, baby GS, and DD3. Looking forward to it

DD2 got home from the walk after 4am, so I'm sure she will be glad that we are not eating until 2pm!

Oma, that sounds a fun night!

Oma - an evening out like that is as good as a week's holiday, isn't it!

Gem - enjoy your birthday roast - pop on an extra Yorkshire for me. I hope DD2 isn't too tired to enjoy today.

Qwerty - it's not so much energy as not wanting my BIL and SIL to arrive to find out house like a bomb site after the work we've had done. I've just spent nearly an hour getting tiny splashes of paint off the dining room windows, so it's not hard work, just tedious. DS2 isn't answering his phone so his tomatoes might have to wait! I'll take Eva over to the paddock later to see how the Open Day is going. It's quite blustery but dry and the washing is drying a treat.

Lovely day here today. Out this morning for a nice long walk around our local NT property, felt pooped when we got home. Had our lunch in the conservatory and then we both fell asleep! Mind you, it was very warm in there. Woke up feeling refreshed , did some iron.... Whilst DH did some weeding, ready for the green bin collection. dd has just popped in to say goodbye, they are off on holiday tomorrow for a week to a cottage in Wales. I am on cat feeding duties.

hope you enjoyed your lunch Gem. So good to have a nice evening out, Oma, sounds like fun. Daisy, well done on all the decorating, hope you get away in your caravan before your visitors arrive. We have DHs cousin and his wife calling round on Tuesday, they are over here from Australia and are going around the country visiting various relatives.

We had a lovely lunch plus the surprise of a birthday cake being brought out for me and SIL. Very delicious it was!
Then we went to the nearby locks and spent time by the river, the children played, we all walked and chatted. Dark clouds threatened then blew over and we had sunshine. DD coped very well, as I know she is tired! Early night for her I think!

Glad everyone enjoyed their various meals and trips out today.
We went over to Cardiff to visit DS2. DS1 came too. It's nice for the brothers to get together in the flesh as it rarely happens these days.OH and I had a quick look round the shops then we all met up for a pizza (DS2'schoice!) The "boys" are so different physically but are both lovely young men and when I see them together I feel we didn't do too bad a job bringing them up and I'm so proud of them. Now I'm getting a bit soppy but I'm sure you know what I mean.

Nanto - sympathy over the passport photo. The regulations are very precise, and change from time to time. Better luck with the next one - the Post Office will check it for you if you're not sure.

It sounds as though we've all enjoyed a nice day (except perhaps Enfys and me, doing the dreaded ironing. But, I've very nearly got to the bottom of the huuuuuggggge pile, thank goodness! That should do it for another year, at least.

GD2 tomorrow, so another busy day, followed by late night dog training. Night, night, everyone, sweet dreams.
