That sounds a nice place to go Oma. I hope you are resting now

OH is busy in the garden. I have hung out washing and done some of that nasty housework stuff! We will go to our friend's soon to collect the lavender and hopefully have a cuppa. they are very hospitable so I'm sure we will be asked!

Nanto - we'll be round later then - I love braised steak and onions!

Oma - that sounds like a really nice place, and I think brunch is a fantastic meal! In America we always go out for Sunday brunch. It's making me hungry thinking about it. Can't believe your GD will be 4 this coming week - that's gone so quickly.

Gem - it sounds as though you and OH have been busy.

The plasterer is just packing up for the day - he's done most of the ceiling in the dining room. Not sure when he's coming back, but at least this is progress. There's no point at all in doing housework at the moment, but, feeling guilty, I've been bashing that hot, flat shiny thing around a bit! Not much, but some awkward things like trousers. Time for lunch!

Nanto I'm not a red meat eater normally and certainly not steak but braised with onions and I will give it a good go 😀 seems to change the taste and texture when braised doesn't it .

Well I fell asleep on the sofa for almost 2 hours I only woke up because I could hear myself snoring 😁
Brian had prepared the tea and hoovered the garden for me and I didn't hear a thing bless him .

Braised steak is one of hubby's favourite meals, we have mashed potatoes and veg with it.
In fact today he said he enjoyed every bit of his dinner.I think it is nicer cooked in the slow cooker, than in the oven.
At least the work is getting done Daisy.
Oma, that was nice of B to get jobs done for you.

Afternoon ladies haven't been on for a few days just ignore me I haven't gone off anybody just taking things steady.
Weegranny thanks for your kind words, hope all is well with you.
Sorry Nan2 I didn't know it was your birthday so belated greetings to you hope you had a lovely day
I went to Swinton Park in Masham Yorks dales
it's a castle like structure now a hotel my friends ashes were scattered at the
lakeside and there was supposed to be a bench there also we walked round the massive
lake 3 times but could t find it so went for lunch at the hotel egg and cress and OH a ham sandwich 2 coffees £20 and OH said the ham was tasteless, we used the sat nav which took us into a farmyard and then up some scary lanes where only one car could get through at one time our car is a big one a 4 wheel drive needless to say we didn't go back that way, sent my friends hubby a text to say we couldn't find the bench only to find he hasn't organised it so we had a round trip of 100 miles but it was a warm sunny day and some lovely views 😀
Gem hope your treatment is going ok fed up of Leeds how could you lol I never tire of York 🏛

Qwerty, that's a pity about the bench and wasted journey. What a nice idea though, a bench in your friends memory.
It's not so much going to Leeds, as going to Leeds for a short daily appointment which is a pain LOL. However, I know I am so lucky to live reasonably close to one of the best cancer centres in the world.

It was too chilly to sit in our friends garden this afternoon as there was a breeze, and at that time of day their table and chairs were in the shade. We tried it for 10 minutes then retired inside with our tea!

OH planted brought home and planted 3 of the lavender bushes which our friends were throwing away, we shall see if they take. The car smelled wonderful on the way back

I'm glad you got little sleep Oma. Bless your OH for doing all that while you slept!

Satnavs can be very misleading sometimes Qwerty but a farmyard is a bad place to send you.
I hope your lavender bushes take okay Gemini, it will depend how big they are, my bushes need replacing they have got a bit sprawls and have dead wood
Well done Brian, you are a good team.

Good morning all. How was your weekend ?
I am pleased to report that GS's christening went by without a hitch. He was extremely well behaved during the service, in fact he was asleep for most of the day.
The only downside was eldest DS wasn't able to be there as he couldn't get time off work.

Oma hope B's virus levels are better today.
                      Gem, how are you feeling

It's drizzling here this morning but not cold so that is something .

I have some more Gladioli bulbs to plant near the ones that I planted two weeks ago, the plan to have as much continual flowering as possible . If it works no one will be more amazed than me
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

                        Hello everyone.

Mimi, I'm feeling fine thank you I'm so glad the baby's christening went well!
Fingers crossed that B's virus levels were better Oma.

Morning appointment for me today, so it is done with and I am now home. Quick lunch then I am going to see my mum. Strange weather, we drove through some very heavy rain indeed on the way to the hospital, then bright sunshine on the way home. It's very cloudy, I think a day of sunshine and showers is on the menu.

Very overcast here, no rain yet, I don't think I have ever had to water plants (except pots) in April.

Another treatment over and done with Gemini.

Hope B,s virus levels are okay Oma

Just back , He has Graft V Host , its a double edged sword on one hand its not great but on the other hand they are pleased as it will make his immune system work better ,a bit like a kick up the backside , they wanted him to have some at some point , easy treatable we noticed it yesterday a red rash on his arm , so they treat it with cream and let the inside workings do their job , Back again as usual on Thursday , Dr said by the time hes finished with all these creams for this and his dry skin ( All normal things that every transplant patient gets ) He said his skin will be as soft as a babys Bum
