Oma thanks for the update on M. I'm glad he was able to get out but no wonder he was exhausted.
Gem I'm glad your Mum didn't do a Mary Poppins.

Oma - good to hear that both our pin ups are making progress.

What a lovely picture I have of Gem's Mum with a Mary Poppins umbrella sailing merrily over the chimney tops.

Nana - what lousy luck to get a tummy bug today. Do ring the consultant's secretary and ask for an early appointment - you shouldn't have to go to the bottom of the queue because you were poorly. they wouldn't have wanted to to try and keep the appointment and share your bug around the whole hospital. Big hug - feel better soon. xx

Lunch was a little strange. There was a friend there who hasn't joined us for well over a year and she really wanted to talk about her problems (which are largely in her own head, I'm afraid) and had never worked with the friend we've lost. So we hoped we would be able to say our personal goodbyes and reminisce about the fun times, but it wasn't possible. We did toast her in chocolate mints, though. She always used to sweet talk the restaurant manager into putting a whole basketful of them on the table with our coffee, because she loved them. And he very kindly made sure we had extra today as well.

So pleased to hear M is on the mend Oma, he is a very brave man. I am sure his mother will be pleased to see him.

Shame your lunch didn't go as planned Daisy

Nearly got blown away on the train platform today, no cover, no seating. Around here the trains will stop for wet leaves on the line (seriously in this country!) so you can imagine all the rubbish delays etc. I heard today that my area has been expanded and now also takes in BIRMINGHAM! How can that be? I am Community Liaison Manager London and SOUTH EAST, Birmingham cannot be put in the same area. I have asked to discuss but apparently everyone is too busy until Tuesday and in the meantime I have to do a handover. They said go there tomorrow and I flatly refused on the grounds that it was unreasonable. Welcome home ZIZI, you enjoyed your few days off too much and now we want to spoil it for you.......beggar them I say!

A bit of a breeze today, but nothing like yesterday.
Have a good day everyoene, and i hope those feeling under the weather feel better soon.

Morning ladies, sorry I havent posted for a couple of days, but busy, busy with the girls and packing for the cruise. I havent been able to resist buying some pretty shoes and a couple more dresses to take. I don't have the girls now until the 21st March. Matt is coming today with a rental van to take all the debris of the old kitchen to the tip for us, glad as the patio looks like steptoes yard.

Good morning, ladies. Bright and sunny here with no signs of Doris the Destroyer (thank goodness).

Zizi - Mmmmm ...... just a small area they've got planned for you then! No wonder you're upset. I hope you can find a sensible way through it.

LG - if you can't have pretty shoes and a couple of new dresses for the cruise of a lifetime, I don't know when you can! It will be nice to get the junk cleared from the patio before you go. OH can then fill it with lovely tubs of flowers for your return.

Exciting trip to the supermarket for us today. Much needed the cupboards are bare - well, not quite, but seem to be full of things that don't make a meal.

I hope all the poorly people are feeling a bit better.

                    Good morning everyone.

Doris has passed over, leaving a calm and sunny morning where I am.

Nana, I hope you are on the mend today.
Oma, good to hear M is recovering from his operation.
Libra, we know you are busy, exciting time for you!
Daisy, it's a pity that other friend joined you all for lunch yesterday.

I had to smile at mum floating off as Mary Poppins too

Nothing much planned today apart from one of OHS golf friends coming for a meal tonight.
DD1's birthday, and she has tonsillitis and laryngitis! We are supposed to be babysitting tomorrow night so I hope she feels well enough to go out.

                    Enjoy your Friday everyone.

Lovely sunshine and Doris has left us. Off to Waitrose this morning and National Trust group this afternoon.

How unreasonable Zizi to expect you to cover Birmingham, they do want their pound of flesh from you

Holiday getting closer Libra, very exciting

Zizi, you have to make sure haven't got 'muggins' tattooed on your forehead , it might be as in my case , invisible to you but others can see it and take advantage of you .
Seriously , they are taking liberties aren't they .
Oma Good new about M .
Libra, I wouldn't mind betting your head is in a whirl , you have so much going on at the moment....exciting times !

DS ( he who shut his hand in the car door ) is coming up later this afternoon and he has informed me that he will be staying the night as he is going out this evening and its too far to go back home. ! Good job we have got the sofa bed in the spare room.
Well Doris seems to have pasted by but she has left some cold weather behind her. I hope no one suffered too much from yesterday, the biggest problem we had was dealing with next door rubbish. I wouldn't mind if it had escaped from their bind but its rubbish that has been left thrown in the garden for the past 6 months .

My friend who lives across the road from me brought me some flowers yesterday she said it was for supporting her as she battles with the neighbours from hell who live below her. All I did was listen to her and managed to make her laugh once in a while. I don't expect any reward, its what friends do isn't it ?

                        Have a lovely Friday everyone
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Mimi I am planning to drop down to four days a week next year and what I don't want is my area expanded to such an extent that I am rushing to cram five days into four and getting paid four days as well. I will wait for Tuesday and see what is said.

Mimi, that was so kind of you to be there for your neighbour, when she needed someone to listen.
Hope you enjoyed your tea out Oma.
The consultants secretary rang from the hospital this morning, my appointment is March 14th. She told me i am the first on the list.
