Morning ladies have D'S and grandchildren coming lunch time , just made a Ginger cake that's in the oven now got washing in and I'm having 5 minutes to myself, up a few times during night it's like having kids again 😩😊

I'm still trying to catch up with washing etc after a week of GCs, but the weather is typical - April showers - so I can't see me getting it all done today. It was lovely first thing - I took my breakfast down to the summerhouse and enjoyed the sunshine for half an hour.

All good news regarding the new baby. His weight was good, not dropped too much and DDs blood pressure which was giving some concern, is down to within normal limits.
After lunch we are going over for a visIt and maybe get some photos

That's great news Gem I had the same problem before and after when having my DD I was in hospital 3 weeks before she was born with it thats why i was induced ,and thankfully 7 days after as you did in them days so my BP was well taken care of . Sounds like her and baby Thomas are doing really well but you can't help but worry can you ,

Oma I haven't made a ginger cake for years,don't know why. I've just made a coconut cake!
We had a wet start this morning but the sun gradually came through and we've had a cloudless blue sky all afternoon. I went into the garden and "tickled" over where I'm going to put the sweet peas. Loacal cats are the bane of my life so I've spread rose cuttings over the soil to deter them but somehow they still manage to pick their way between and leave little (and not so little) deposits

Good morning everyone. Sunshine and blue skies here!

I can hear neighbours cutting lawns although I think the ground will be far too wet for that really.
No firm plans today, apart from meeting two friends for a meal at 6. These are friends in our close group of 4 couples. After not being too happy for some time, they have decided to part. They hope to remain friends, and as they own a house plus a Spanish apartment together, it will be a while before they are truly separate. Very sad, but if each have chance of happiness apart, it has to be the right thing.

I may go to see my mother later. I have to go today or tomorrow. We parted on extremely bad terms on Thursday, so of course going there is the last thing I want to do, but it has to be done.
