Poor thing, see if you can get some Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream. Dil uses it for Ben's chapped lips (result of medication) and it really does the job. Expensive though I am afraid.

Iv'e been thinking about Elisi as well. So sorry to hear her husband hasn't been very well.
Hope everyone with a cold starts to feel better soon.
Been busy getting my jobs done, son is having all new central heating done on Monday,i bet you can't guess who will be doing most of the cleaning. I don't mind really.
Hubby will be going down early Monday morning, as son has to go into work. He booked 3 days off work, but they are desperate for him to work Monday.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Good morning everyone.
I hope the poorly ones feel better really soon, and most importantly can rest this weekend. No cleaning, or making Sunday lunch for the whole family!!
Poor Daisy has the GRU cold now.

Good morning everyone. I've joined all you ladies in the Snuffles Club. I suppose it's That Time of the Year! I'm hoping for a quiet week-end to gather some energy for whatever next week brings!
Our front garden will be finished sometime next week, so then I'll have no excuse - the house will need cleaning! Ugh! but at least the garden will look good.

Husband has developed a dodgy hip and is now at the physio (I had to nag him into submission). I have got a cold and a cold sore developing although I am usually successful in stopping cold sores from developing fully. The flipping dog downstairs has not stopped barking for an hour. The new freezer is working well but is lower than my old one so it doesn't sit so well in the kitchen but at least I can reach the top of the wine rack which I couldn't do on the other one. We also have a huge wine rack in the hall and I cannot reach the top of that one either!
The scaffolders have been here and we are now surrounded by poles! I am concerned about security as we usually leave windows open when we go out, I am worried that I will forget to close them and someone will get in. The windows will be put in on Thursday so hopefully they will remove the scaffold then. The next door neighbour with whom we are currently not friendly due to his underhand behaviour regarding he purchase of the freehold complained about the noise. The scaffolders were a very cheery lot and were have a good laugh. To their credit they apologised and kept the noise down and then he complained because their lorry was outside and, he says, blocking his view to get out of the drive. Well of course the flipping lorry was outside, what did he want them to do park and Heathrow airport and carry the stuff along the perimeter road. Anyway as one of the chaps said there are no parking restrictions and they were only going to be a couple of hours maximum. This is the same neighbour who put a notice up saying "turning only for no XX" when Gem's OH turned her car in front of their garage. The space Gem and OH used is my private off road car parking space and he doesn't mind letting his visitors park there without my permission. He is not a nice man.Last edited by ZIZI; 23-01-2016, 04:32 PM.If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together

All happening at your place ZIZI. hope hubby gets some improvement with his hip.
You don't have a nice neighbour there ZIZI.
I can honestly say all our neighbours are lovely.Any one of them would put themselves out if we needed help, and vice versa.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.
