Good morning all.
It's cold!!
No heating I'm afraid Mimi! Each day so far OH has managed to get it going eventually , then its dead again in the morning. This morning however she can't.
Our regular plumber is flummoxed. Yesterday morning we rang someone local who specialises in these boilers, they still haven't got back to us. OH is now on the phone to Worcester Bosch to find a local engineer recommended by them. Watch this space! !
GD from school later, and I need to do a little shopping.
Keep warm and well everyone!“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Gem we had months of engineers coming out not one could find out what the fault was we had all sorts changed then a young man came out and said he had a feeling it was a fault in the gas meter outside , he went out and found some sort of blue cap had come loose and once heating went off it wasn't opening and closing as it should so boiler couldn't fire up again unless done manually , he fixed that and we haven't had any other sinceIm not fat just 6ft too small

Oh poor you Qwerty.
Well our fridge freezer is completely kn&ckered. Thought it was just the fridge but I put some ice packs in the freezer intending to fill the two ice coolers and freezer bags and put them outside as a temporary measure and the ice packs haven't become ice. The freezer is full to the brim so if we do not open the door it should preserve the stuff until Friday when a new fridge freezer will be delivered. It looked cheap at £150 but then they add on money for delivery, bringing it upstairs, unpacking, installing, taking away the old one and it racks up further and further. Doesn't matter too much, we can flog it when the new kitchen is done and the broken one is ten years old and was not expensive it does have a wine rack though (very important feature). In my new kitchen I want an integral wine cooler. At this rate I will have to buy a bigger flat what with integral units, wine coolers, floor to ceiling units, split level cooker. I might have to move the kitchen into the sitting room...........
Was with a charity today called The Challenge. They run several programmes for young people including the National Citizenship Programme. This is for potential NEETS. They are given pre employment training and then a community or charitable challenge. They then get a tour of a business and a presentation on the types of careers available on that business and then the students present on how they are going to help the charity they have been linked with. I arranged two of these events last summer, very interesting to see what the kids did.jjIf you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together

That's extremely annoying for you Qwerty!
I hope your frozen food stays frozen Zizi.
Heating has stayed on, which is a good thing as we have a friend coming to eat with us tonight . Fingers crossed for getting it permanently fixed tomorrow! !“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Awww Qwerty and you wanted it over and done with didn't you , big hugs lovey xxx
Well I went to see Eye Dr today only to find I was two hours late , I thought my appointment was 11.50 it was actually 9.50 this isn't the first time I've got it wrong last appointment I turned up a month early , so now have to wait for another appointment being sent out .
Went to pick Dog up this morning to be met with carnage , opened the front door and he had ripped the post up one was a holiday brochure that was chewed within a inch of its life all over the hall then a bar of soap half eaten a sachet of conditioner 2 puppy mats and Joshua football cones all chewed up , and there he was with his head stuck in the cat flap yet again , got him out and showed him the mess and he wasn't bothered one bit , he had only been alone 1 hour , cleared up and brought him to ours gave him a new toy we bought him yesterday and within 20 minutes it had no squeak or stuffing . Obviously I'm going to be naughty day , he pooped bits of plastic from the post 😲Im not fat just 6ft too small

Qwerty - poor you, no wonder you're fed up. Big hugs xxx
Zizi - if you're not careful you'll end up moving to a bigger place and taking out a mortgage!! Will you new freezer have to stand for a day or so before you can switch it on and use it? I know you used to have to do that while the coolant liquid settled, but don't know if it's still the case. I hope your freezer stuff is ok. The Challenge charity sounds interesting - a good way of getting youngsters who don't really know what they want to do involved in something. Let us know how it goes.
Gem - fingers crossed for your heating!
Oma - has your DD tried leaving Doggo with a Kong filled with treats and peanut butter smeared round inside the hole. It might keep stop him wrecking the house and is better for his tummy than the post and all the other stuff he's snacked on! My BIL's dog when he was a puppy had to have two major operations when things he'd chewed got stuck in his digestive system.

Yes tried that Daisy he gets bored very quickly with it he doesn't mind licking it till the peanut butter is off but he's not bothered about trying to get the treats out , he's never left for more than a hour between them going to work and either us or SIL,s parents picking him up , My Mother had a springer who had several operations after he ate her tights no matter how carefully she put them away he would root them out she could never leave them on the clothes dryer he didn't touch anything else just them , she stopped wearing them and bought trousers instead 😊Im not fat just 6ft too small
