Wow, someone's up early!
I'm nursing an aching back today as a consequence of two things: lifting GS2, who weighs a ton, out of his cot (why don't they design one with a door) and spending yesterday gardening. I've filled a compost bin full and done all sorts but really, there doesn't seem much to show for all the effort

Good morning all.
I have a heavy little GS Minny so can identify with that! I hope your aches are soon gone.
GS was here last night. He was an angel, but I don't sleep well when he's here, I keep checking the video moniter!
Once GS is collected, it will be cleaning and packing time. I need to call in on mum as well. Later we are supposed to go, with DDs, OHs and GC to Pizza in the Park, something DDs have done a couple of times. As it has rained all night and is still doing so, it may not happen! DD2 says we can go to hers and order in pizza if wet. I would like to, as it will be a chance to see everyone before we go.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Those horrible travel cots did it for me. Lifting GC out of there is a sure way to do damage to a back. Because the base of the cot is almost a ground level and the travel cot does not have drop sides it is equal to bending over to touch your toes and on the way back up pick up a fidgety heavy baby.Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Well we've still no baby! DIL had another sweep yesterday .... had a few grumblings, so we went for a long walk and she bounced on the ball.... nothing, zilch! Got to ring the hospital at 2pm tomorrow for a time to go in to be induced. We're all feeling frustrated now, and to top it all its raining.

We had youngest GS stay overnight last night too. I know full well about the cot.....my backs killing me as he's heavy. At his 1 am feed I sat there with the tears welling. Feeling Blessed. 💖"Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."

Contractions have started .............. watch this space! I hope they don't stop again. Just cancelled our table reservation we had for this evening. If the contractions continue we will have to go over and get gs to come back and sleep here tonight.Grandmothers are just antique little girls - author unknown

ah bless J, hope he gets better soon. We had Joe from when he was very very tiny and I remember waking in the night for feeds. I also remember one early morning when I was in bed and husband was off warming the bottle I was jigging him about on my knees sat in bed and he let out the most enormous "bottom burp" and made himself jump, the look of surprise on his face was priceless, then he started to cry. Even now recounting the tale ten years later I am chuckling to myself.
AVO I will keep checking in .........If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together
