Came home from specialist I say last night because it was, app was for 4.15 got in at 5.35 and when we came out the heavens opened and we were a long way from the car park we were like drenched cats and frozen but anyway as follows he thinks the contents of my stomach are not moving quick enough and so fermenting in my body which makes the acid work too much . It's all trial and error I have to go with what they say so I am on a daily antibiotic for a month Azithromycin apparently although it is for gut bacteria it has an effect on moving food on so know hanging about best not be far from a loo I am guessing.
    Stops it fermenting too long.
If this doesn't work after a month I go on to another antibiotic that has a side effect where it tightens your sphincter that you have at the bottom of your oesophagus that stops food coming back, I should have been a doctor, if after another month if it doesn't work it's back to consultant and it's a camera job don't fancy that😨 All for a blooming cough !

Enfys - it was very blowy and we decided not to take Eva down on the quay. High winds spook her as well as seagulls. Roll on spring!

LG - Wow - you had a good walk, especially in that weather. Sand blowing in your face sounds like taking exfoliating a step too far! Did Shiloh try to drink the sea? I remember Rusty and Clyde trying that and realising it wasn't nice! And being so small even the smallest wave sent them flying. We're planning to try Eva on Highcliffe beach when her scar's healed up properly.

Apart from going to Lymington and having a quick trip round the supermarket, I don't know where today's gone!

Qwerty - sorry I didn't see you post about your hospital appointment (we hit 'Post Reply' at the same time!) What the consultant said sounds very logical, doesn't it. I do hope the first lot of antibiotics do the trick though. I'm sure you're really fed up with this cough. Well done on getting the babies to have a good sleep in the morning. I hope you took the chance to sit down and relax with a cuppa. Sunday lunch sounds lovely.

Raining here and feels colder than the past few days. Hubby said he was sure snow had been forecast for the weekend.

Oh Qwerty, hope the first lot of antibiotics work.

Pleased your mum's appointment went well Gemini, and hope you had a good evening with your friends.

                  Good morning everyone.

I'm going to Durham today, for a night away with my 3 DDs. We chose Durham as DD2 didnt want to be too far away, in case of any problems
We are all really looking forward to it. OH is dropping me off at the station for the 11am train.
Have a good day everyone, and be good while I'm away

Gem - enjoy your day with your DDs!

I would really love to have a dry day with some sunshine if possible. But last night it poured with rain - again! - and our back garden is under water - again! I know winter will eventually pass, but I wish we could have a few days' break from this wetness so I could brush the paths clear of mud from the building work and do some tidying up. Sigh! Otherwise there's no excuse for leaving the housework. Oh well, I suppose I might as well put some washing in!

                    Have a good day everyone.

Have a good time Gem. Dry here this morning, but for how long? Out this afternoon with a friend to her gardening club to see if I like it and might join. Should be interesting.

Had a nice visit from DGD yesterday, heard all about her trip down under. She did so well all on her own and had a great time. She said the most annoying thing was because she looks so young, people were offering her the children's menus in restaurants when they went out for meals and asking 'what would the children like to drink' ha ha. She would have a beer just to see their faces . Everyone thought she was 14........ She will be 21 in a couple of weeks. I told her she will be pleased to be thought younger when she is 40 but she is not amused about it now, we thought it was hilarious

Enfys my DD had the same problem she's 43 this year and still gets asked for ID , when she was 7 month pregnant with Josh we were in Sainsburys she in one queue me in another , a woman behind me said oh look at her she can't be more than 13 what a shame where is the parents I would like to know , I started laughing and said that little girl is 31 and she's my Daughter . Her face was a picture she didn't believe me so I called over to my DD and said tell this lady how old you are , 31 came the reply πŸ˜€ mind you it didn't help she had her hair in pig tails at the time πŸ˜‚ . Oh to look that young (sigh )

Had a fantastic evening celebrating sil's birthday next door. All four of the children were able to be there, lovely food and lot of laughs looking at their old family pics.

Did the early morning shopping run, dropped husband at physio and waited for him. Got to do some housework as the dust has settled after the window installation and even I cannot ignore it. Moussaka for dinner tonight, one I made a while ago and has been sitting in the fridge defrosting. Beef for dinner tomorrow and casserole on Monday. I cannot for the life of me remember what I am doing work wise next week, this week seems to have rushed by except when the windows were out and it was freezing then it seemed that time stood still!
