Dry but windy here, its very cold though !
We have our new sofa arriving on Friday, the old one is being taken away on Thursday by the Heart Foundation . I don't really want to witness them trying to get the old one out through the front door, its a very big sofa and when we moved in there was a lot of 'huffing and puffing' from the removal men at the time
On Thursday evening we will take ourselves into the spare room where we have the sofa bed to sit on and watch our small TV in comfort.
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

OH & I are having a week away in a holiday rent up on the Northumberland coast. The property is high up & has a spectacular view over to the sea. We went to Whitby yesterday & OH had to act as my anchor because it was blowing a gale. It was a really good day tho'.

Qwerty, I follow your 'cough' investigations with great interest. My consultant arranged
for me to have a breathing test which has shown nothing but that I've got a bad cough. It had to be postponed twice as I have this recurring virus where I'm left with a shocking cough. Gets better. Also seeing the gastroenterologist who wants me to have a colonoscopy, but guess what? I'm too ill with this virus to attend & have had to cancel twice. I find it interesting that we both have bad/lasting coughs & both are having tests connected to the workings of our digestive systems.

Oma I'm hoping that your OH is ok after his treatment today.

LOL - it's one of those silly little jobs we can always put off until another day, Zizi! It saves having to clean the mark of the windscreen.

How did the bad-tempered meeting go?

Many thanks, Zizi. I wouldn't dream of doing anything forbidden - so the ironing's still there waiting for another day/month/year!

Oma - I'm glad Brian was able to go ahead with his chemo. I hope he's not feeling too poorly tonight.

It sounds a lot coler and windier up north than down here. It's been chilly, but I did a bit of gardening this afternoon, so not too bad.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your week away Nana. I love Whitby
                      ,
I have been suffering for the last few hours! At lunch time I ate 2 or 3 pickled onions given to us by friends at Christmas, part of a small hamper of things they made. They tasted delicious. Unfortunately I didn't realise there was some red chili in the vinegar. I checked the label once I started to suffer, as I had eaten nothing else all day which wouid have caused this.
My reaction to chilies is getting more intense as time passes. I will have to be more vigilant if I don't want lots of pain and time in the loo!

Daisy the bad tempered meeting was not as bad as I had envisaged however it has brought up some things that I would very much rather were left lying. I got home about 4pm and didn't stop until gone 7.30. I am feeling quite stressed at the moment. Lots to do, time running out, people expecting things. Need chocolate..................

Good morning, nanto and everyone. Nanto - it would be a good 2 or 3 hours before I could face that yummy breakfast!

Zizi - hang in there - don't let work et to you. I hope today's better. Most things are better with chocolate (or wine!) so treat yourself. xx

Gem - Sorry all this talk of food. I hope you feel better this morning. Sometimes things we can't eat sneak into unexpected food and catch us out.

Off to look after GD2 - and it's frosty, and I've got to use OH's car - mine's in the garage waiting for a replacement part on the tracking rod, and guess where my scraper and deicer are!!!

                              Good morning all.
All fine this morning Daisy, all symptoms gone Take care on those roads.

The wind has died down, the sky is cloudy blue and the cherry blossom has started to appear on the tree in the front garden.

Both GC today, GD after school. This is exciting for them as they are rarely here together. Especially exciting for GS, who whenever I mention his cousin will say 'Is her coming later?!'
