We are having the guess the baby too, and pin the dummy on the baby (blindfolded) and decorating baby vests with fabric pens. We did this for DD1s shower and she said those vests , in various sizes, were very useful and fun.

Babyshower day for us 15 adults and 2 children ( Nice civilised girls of 6 and 11. This is no place for my GS) It starts at 2, so we will get there just after 1 to put the finishing touches. The fact that my friend owns the cafe makes it a lot more informal!

The best laid plans, eh? GS was taken to A and E by ambulance at midnight last night with breathing difficulties, diagnosed with severe croup, which he has had before. Steroids ahd nebuliser worked their magic and he then spent a lot if the night running around the hospital play area! He is home now and seems bright. DD however is exhausted. It remains to be seen if she makes it to her sister's baby shower. Only she wil know how tired she is, and if she feels comfortable leaving GS.

Oh poor baby but as you say Gem they bounce back and steroids are magic
Had Dog overnight while they went to a charity event as he cant be left in the house he makes to much mess , he was very good they dropped him off at 5pm and he stayed in the garden till 10.30 didn't want to come in then he slept at the bottom of our bed till 8.30 I had to go up and push him down the stairs he didn't want to get up lazy mutt . Gone home now so we are going to have a quiet day ,

Gem - poor GS and also poor GS's Mummy. I do hope she's made it to the baby shower, and I'm sure GS will be fine now. Croup is so scary, isn't it.

I remember DS2 having it when we were visiting OH's sister. It was a Sunday, and a very long way to the nearest hospital, and we were boiling everything in sight to try and fill their huge, high ceilinged kitchen with steam. I don't know if that's still recommended but it was what people did then.

We had a wonderful time and yes DD1 came GS was fine, although he slept this afternoon, having been awake most of the night!
My friend really did us proud at her cafe.

Good morning everyone. I got up late this morning, so am now rushing for shower, walk Eva then pick GD2 up from playgroup. Mustn't forget the cheese! She loves playgroup for the 'big slide' in the garden, and the 'big cheese' snack in Grandma's car afterwards. 'Big' is her adjective of choice at the moment.

GS day, he is being collected at 4, then I go out to a client. I will ge ready for a glass of something in the Granny's Rest after all that!

Miserable and wet here today, after yesterdays lovely weather. Had nurse appointment at 9am, running late as usual but good news as results of x ray showed all is okay. Renewed all my inhalors and another spirometer test which was good, no change. Waiting now for rain to stop before I take out the mutt.
