All change today. I was supposed to have GS today, but he was awake a lot during the night with a temperature, so DD is keeping him at home. However, I am now having GD for a few hours! Her passport has expired, they go to Greece at the weekend, so off to Durham to queue for a new one
This is so out of character I can hardly believe it could happen. DD2 is exceedingly organised usually. Thank goodness she realised at last, I suppose!

Another sunny day today, GD are moving over to a hotel near where her parents are staying in St Ives just for two nights, can't say I am looking forward to the drive, I think we will have to go through the centre, very narrow streets and lots of people. SIL is down here now, no change in his father. Wonderful freshly caught mackerel for dinner last night

Update on GDs passport. DD has done all she can do at Durham. As it is a child's passport you can't just pay to get it, it has to be sent. It should be sent on Thursday, so should be there Friday or Saturday. Fingers crossed, as they fly on Sunday. If not they will have to fly another day.

Today is the first day of winter. I don't care what the calendar says, it's bucketed down all day, and been proper chilly. We lit the woodburner tonight. We think it's our relatives visiting from North Wales' fault they've brought their weather with them.

Daisy, the day you had yesterday was the one we had here on Tuesday! Rained all day, dark, cold. Monday and yesterday were lovely, so I hope today is nicer for you!
We had a lovely day with our friends and their GD yesterday. We had GD overnight, and now she has gone to her other GPs to 'have their turn' before she goes on holiday

I am taking my mum and auntie out for a drive and tea and cake this afternoon. My mum is getting more and more reluctant to go anywhere or do anything, and almost resents me bringing auntie. Its only every 6 weeks though, and my auntie is a sweetheart, and mum enjoys it in the end, I think!
