Mornin. Nan2 one recipe I saw said to put bread on top when you store it so you get the sticky texture????
Taking mum to get some new teeth made. Late in life but she's shrunk over the years. Hehehe. That should cheer me up 😂"Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."

Good morning everyone.
Raining hard here. Usual mother-day for me. Apparantly my GS was very badly behaved when DD and he visited her on Monday, according to DD. I expect to be told all about it by mum today (many times)“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Nana never heard about putting bread on top of parkin when storing it.
Had a busy day at parents, with my sister in law.Oh boy, have we got rid of some junk. Mam wanted some built in cupboards upstairs clearing out.We have done this many times, but everything has ended up going back in the cupboards.
So today,we told her we would do the cupboards, only if we could throw out some junk/clutter and she agreed.
Some stuff went in the bin, but we packed a lot in Dad's car boot, and sent him down the road to the charity shop.
Both of them were thrilled when they saw how tidy and almost empty the cupboards were.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

That was me Oma, it belonged to one of sister in laws.It had come out of one of her earrings, but there were other stones missing as well. She did talk about having the stones reset. Haven't seen her for while, so not sure if she did or not.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

VERY wet here. Working from home today. Just submitted my choice of 80 charities to the Employee Nomination Fund which I am on the committee for - it has taken ages to go through all the nominations. Yesterday I was in town doing my last Business Connector thing and coming back was a nightmare because the train I needed was delayed and nothing was going through Feltham (which is near Heathrow). It took over 90 minutes to get home using various other trains and finally I managed to get on the first train I would normally be on to run for over four hours. I learned this morning that a young American man who went missing after coming over here for an interview was found dead on the tracks. Very sad.
So the rest of the day will be doing my final reports for the secondment and then this evening I am opening a bottle of Fizz..................If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together

Rainy and miserable day here, I am thankfully on the mend now the antibiotics have kicked in. I had youngest 2 yesterday for 8 hours, love them to bits but a wee bit trying at times. At one point I had to be tough G ranny and both had time out in their rooms for arguing No more child care until next Wednesday, been invited to dinner at my sisters tomorrow evening along with other sister, will have a glass or two as only have to stagger around the corner lol. Tomorrow is supposed to be fine, fingers crossed."What doesn't kill us,makes us stronger."
