Morning all. I am hoping for a nice calm relaxed weekend after the last few months we have had.
DIL has been unwell for some time , she had her colonoscopy in the week which resulted in her being re admitted into hospital with a suspected perforated bowel. She was in a lot of pain but she is on the mend now. The bowel was OK but they don't know what caused the pain.
DS has joined a skittle team so that hopefully will help lift his spirits a bit and after two weeks of feeling unwell it's nice to wake this morning without every bit of he aching. Even OH seems in better spiritsBring me sunshine in your smile.

Mimi - Your poor DIL. thank goodness it wasn't a perforated bowel, but i hope they can work out what is causing the pain. It must be horrible for her.
It sounds as though your DS has taken a positive step - skittle teams are very sociable and he will meet some new people, as well as having fun. Don't overdo things because you're feeling better - but you must be very relieved after how you felt recently. You could just do with some sunshine now to keep you going. xx
Nanto - It sounds as though you're well organised. Lovely cheery 'good morning' graphic - am I being paranoid though - it looks a bit <that C word> !!!"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

Good morning everyone.
Mimi, that all sounds positive! I hope your poor DIL feels well soo though.
Packing Nan2, how exciting
OH had a much better night last night (therefore so did I!) She is in a lot less pain and is managing it with paracetamol and ibuprofen. Tonight we are having GS overnight. He will arrive this afternoon. It will be the first overnight here since he went into a bed. We would never have agreed to have him so soon after OHs op, but it's DD and SILs anniversary weekend and it was all arranged before we got the op date. We will have to give him a good talk about avoiding the poorly arm. As she's in a cast at least he will have a visual clue“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Oma - thank goodness you can relax at last. You must both be looking forward to a little break. I haven't seen Blackpool lights for about 40 years - I bet they are spectacular.
