Arrived home about 5pm stuffed and shattered, DD made an amazing beef casserole with roasties and veg. For dessert she had made the most scrumptious raspberry meringue with cream and hazelnuts accompanied by a couple of glasses of Asti -lovely. The kids clubbed together and bought me a beautiful Pandora charm, is says we love you on the front and opens like a card and has happy mothers day inside. Had flowers and cards. I even had a bottle of bubbly and Lindt chocs from Shiloh and hubs and a card. Saw all my delightful pink ones as well, lucky me."What doesn't kill us,makes us stronger."

Good Monday morning, ladies. the start of another week! It's cold but sunny here, so I'll be off into the Forest soon letting Eva take me for a good walk, then pick GD2 up from playgroup, back to their house, lunch, nap (GD2, not me!). GD1 will be home about 3.30 and I probably won't be home until about 7 pm tonight, so a long busy day.
Nanto - I always thinks it takes a few days to get back into routine after a holiday. I find if I don't immediately unpack, get all the washing done, etc, there are suitcases lying around half-empty for weeks!

Afternoon everyone. Saturday was my Mother's Day day, well every day is really. Impromptu sleepover too for DD & her little ones. Sunday spent with my Siblings. Docs this morning, chest infection. Antibiotics & steroids for me. Eye test later today so hopefully I can get a pair of specs to help me see a little better."Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."

Thank you for remembering me Gem. First of many hurdles I suspect. Oma, I hope that it was only Storm's pride that was hurt. Ouch.It will take two weeks to make my new specs. It's just a put on really until all my eye tests are complete. Can't wait if it improves my sight just a little.
