Rained here most of the night, and more rain forecast today. No storms though.
Two of our best friends are getting married this afternoon, fingers crosed the rain stays away then!

                        Sending my love Oma x

Got up a little later than usual worked furiously to catch up, went into high street for my hair appointment. Went to park but there was a van in front of me with its reversing lights on, odd! Then I realised the van was waiting for someone to move only she wasn't moving as there wasn't room to swing out past the van. I couldn't move as there were two cars behind me. Eventually with a bit of to-ing and fro-ing car out, van in. Drove forward to pay and display bit uh-oh, massive delivery lorry parked against the car park wall and the Eastern European car washing Mafia had their rope and sign next to it giving very little room to get by, opened the window to ask them to make way and they were already arguing. Lorry driver saying that he delivers here every week and always parks here when delivering otherwise it means cars cannot get into the car park and asking why the EECWM do not just move the cone and sign so people can get into he car park. My car is quite big but I just managed to get past the lorry but the chap behind had one of those monster trucks and he had no chance. The two men were practically at the fisticuffs stage when I went to pay. In the end the EECWM moved the cone but he was not a happy bunny.

So that was a whole fifteen minutes wasted. Went to get money from the machine and then to Costa to get a coffee to take into the hairdressers, 15 minutes later I got out of there, how does it take so long to get an expensive coffee in a cardboard cup? So that made me late for my appointment but wait! No I was not late my appointment was not for 10.45 it was 11.45! I took the time to go to the baker which saves me stopping in the morning on the way to the butchers and then sat and had a chat with the girls in the hairdressers until someone was free to do my locks, which look rather lovely if I say so myself.

It has been raining all day and husband has just phoned and said that when he went on shift at 6.30 this morning it was thick fog right across the airport and loads of cancellations and frustrated passengers. When it snows and the passengers are getting narky and blaming the staff for delays he says with a smile "Oh I am sorry I shouldn't have pressed the let it snow, let it snow, let it snow button" singing the let it snow bit! he can be quite amusing sometimes!

Oma - I do hope Brian has got some rest today. Goodness you had been shopping before I was even dressed this morning! I had been up since 7 am - but kept thinking I might go back to bed for an hour. Needless to say, I didn't!

Aggie - having the kitchen done is the most disruptive job in the house, so you have my sympathy. I hope the fridge finds a home eventually. In one house we lived in (ironically the biggest one we've ever had) the only place we could put our chest freezer was on the landing - well it would have fitted in the living room as well, but that didn't seem a great idea!!! I hope your fridge has better luck!

Zizi - how frustrating not being able to get into the car park! Having a great hair do makes you feel good, though, doesn't it!

Good morning, Nanto. I do love your 'good morning' pictures - they start the day off with a smile. Thank you.

Today, I've got to be wonderwoman (oh, how I could do with Oma and Qwerty here for the day!) and get the house spruced up! It's not just cleaning - there's stuff all over the house because OH has been re-arranging his shed - oops - workshop! and he did a car boot sale last week, so what didn't sell is in the dining room and isn't allowed back in his shed - oops workshop! - and it all needs to be tidied up until he can do another one in about 3 weeks' time. Our visitors arrive on Monday, when we have the GDs and a friend is also staying after a minor operation so there's no spare bedroom to dump things in. Wish me luck, ladies!

At least the sun is shining so I can get the washing done!

                                Have a good day everyone.
