Had a lovely long lunch with the Gems , Sat so long we all found it difficult getting up πŸ˜€
Talked about anything and everything, so lovely to see them ❀️
I look a bit startled and what you can’t see is the dessert plate behind the menu πŸ˜€

Good morning. We had a beautiful sunrise this morning.

      Hairdresser coming this morning.
      Hubby got a pal coming.

I think dinner is at the pub today. If that falls through it will be plan b, although I don't know what plan b is.

Glad the Gems and the Omas had a lovely meet up yesterday.

Good morning Nan2 Oma and everyone else.

I'm always in favour of eating out Nan2!

Fingers crossed MIL is in a reasonable mood Oma.

Dentist for me this morning to fix that filling I lost. I have replaced the temporary filling 3 or 4 times since the original filling fell out.
Baby GS day. DD will work from our house once he goes for his morning nap and I will take over once I'm back so she can go off to work.
OH already set off to play golf near Leeds .

Daisy I hope your arm/shoulder are no worse and you enjoyed your day yesterday.

            Good Thursday morning, everyone.

Sorry I was largely absent yesterday. After going out for coffee, a talk and lunch, friends came back with us and we sat in the garden enjoying the sunshine, then neighbours popped round and I spent a while making arrangements for various things.

The social whirl continues this morning - just meeting a friend for coffee. I hope to get back for lunch-time though.

I really do hope to catch up later, and I must also book my room for our Birmingham meet up today.

My arm is still painful, making it hard to do quite simple things, like pull a t-shirt over my head! Must get going now, but have a good day, everyone. I hope the sun is shining for you.

Daisy I am having a similar problem with my left shoulder and arm. Difficulties pulling clothing on rings true for me too! I Did most of the aqua arm exercises one armed yesterday. I have no idea what I have done though. I have a deep tissue massage booked before I go on holiday so hopefully she can help . What a state we are in!!!

Good morning, there has just been a few drops of rain, I am busy cleaning through!! I have a lamp above the kitchen table, I always took it down to clean the glass, with my shoulder being as it is DS2 has done it a few times for me, I thought today that with my new steps etc I could do it, I stood on the steps, having moved the table first, then thought about it and decided not to do it!

Daisy and Gem, welcome to the painful shoulder club!!!

Oma, I hope your MIL is in a good mood today.

I think the handy man has just arrived to help my neighbour, she has been wanting a cabinet thing making for over her washer and dishwasher for as long as she has lived here! She saw mine and loved it, DS2 and DIL made mine for me, M asked a neighbour and he promised to make her one, still promising 5 years on, I told her to get in touch with the organisation where I do the coffee, they have handy men, I have had one here a few times to do odd jobs for me, she phoned the other day and the man came the next day, he told her he could make what she wanted, but, there is a new system at Ikea that is exactly the thing she wanted, he said he would fix it up etc for her. I went with her to Ikea on Tuesday evening and she got all she wanted to she will be pleased when it is installed.

I am going to hoover through now.

My hairdresser is coming this morning too Nanto. Your OH seems to be a good sort, he is always helping someone.

Pleased the meet went well Gemini and Oma.

Oma, I hope Mil is in a pleasant mood today.

I am going to get Sil to book the rooms for the Birmingham visit, safer that way. I don’t know if we are expecting H today, she has had nasty nappies for a few days, the doctor looked in her ears and said she had an ear infection that was causing the nasty nappies. Never heard of that.

Plant, hope H is better soon.

The pub meal fell through for various reasons.
It will probably be tuesday now.

Hubby's pal came and stayed for a couple of hours.
DS2 called after work. His wife to be has gone to Benidorm today for her hen do.
I was invited but a) its too warm for me in July,
                    b) i don't drink. If the brides mum had been going i might have gone.
Unfortunately, she can't fly due to some treatment she has had.

It sounds as though you won't be missing much with the hen do Nan2. Nice to be invited though.

Poor little H Plant. Baby E has had nasty nappies with infections he has had too

The filling has been replaced and the rest of my teeth are fine. DD has gone to work and baby is asleep in the cot.
Its a lovely summer day today. So nice to see all the tourists and residents in York enjoying themselves..I wished I had worn my sunglasses!
A wasp stung me this afternoon which wasn't so good. To be fair I did lean on it. It was on the kitchen worktop for some reason and I didn't see it. I felt a very sharp pain in my wrist then realised what had happened.

Next doors car was gone yesterday, the mum's car was here. Both went overnight. Now they are back. Baby was due a couple of days ago so I am wondering if she has been born

Gem, how lovely if the new baby next door has arrived. I hope all is well. It's always a relief when a dental appointment goes well. It was bright here today, and I was glad I had my sunglasses in the car for driving. Ouch, wasp stings can be painful. So can poorly arms! You are in the wars.

Plant, poor little H. Ear infections can lead to bad nappies etc. I hope she's soon better. I hope you can book the type of room you want for Brum.

Nanto, you've still got the pub meal to look forward to! Some hen dos can be a bit too hectic for me as well, and if you don't like the heat the present weather would be awful for you. I hope your DIL- to-be has a great time though.

Lizzie, your neighbour did well to wait for the Ikea cabinet (although not from choice) as I'm sure it is less expensive than a hand-made one. Well done for having second thoughts about the lamp over the table! It sounds quite a precarious climb.

Oma, I hope MIL was in a happy mood today. Did GS1 come for his dinner again?

My 'quick coffee' with a friend wasn't so quick! Two hours flew by in a blink of the eye, then I called in to see DIL2 and stayed for a chat, did some shopping and ran into DIL2's dad - twice. He had been having problems with his mobile and had dropped it off for DIL to sort it out for him.

By the time I got home it was nearly 3 pm! A quick lunch then OH reminded me he was going out tonight - at 6.30. I had turkey fillets in the fridge which I needed to use so I just did a salad with them. I've only just had mine - that's the trouble when you have lunch so late!

My arm is really painful tonight - driving did it no favours at all. I think I'll take some paracetamol before bedtime tonight. I must get on an do my Sainsbury's order for tomorrow - or else I'll have to do some actual real-life supermarket shopping.

Daisy do you have a bath? If so I find immersing my various aches and pains in a warm bath eases them.

Baby ( name as yet undecided) arrived yesterday

They are still in hospital as the delivery was ceasarean and poor mummy had a transfusion. They transferred her to a ward tonight which has to be good news
Her parents are in Singapore, they must be so worried. She has a good MIL though.
We saw a video of baby and she is gorgeous. The ( first time) new Grandma is smitten - of course!

Looking a bit overcast this morning.

Hubby out today with a pal. We're not sure for how long.

Gem, hope the new mum is OK.

Daisy, sounds like you had a long day yesterday.

No menu planned. Hubby said he'll have beans on toast when he gets home. He'll ring me when he's on his way home. I can make do with anything.

Dr rang B yesterday with results of bone density scan, showed not only has he osteoporosis in spine but now both hips are shot too , got to see yet another specialist. Not much right on this man couldn't donate anything if he died they wouldn't want anything 😁

Oma, so sorry to read that the bone density scan wasn’t good, poor B.

Gemini, good news about your tooth. You are lucky to live near a lovely town.

Nanto, nice to have some time to yourself and not having to think about cooking a meal. When is the wedding?

Daisy, perhaps you should see a medic about your shoulder.

I have had two babies, DD four and we had not heard that an ear infection can cause runny nappies.
