Been a busy morning for both of us. Hubby been replacing things on the outside of the garage.
I've done the ironing,cleaned up and cleaned some windows.
I just need to do the conservatory windows but they are in full sun now.
Hopefully i should get them done in the morning,before the sun comes round.

Gem, as Oma said, it could be a teething rash but you don’t take risks with babies, what a worry for her. This doctor situation is such a disgrace, your DD should be able to see someone quickly when a baby is unwell but perhaps I have misunderstood.

Having had H for two days, my DD and Sil had their eldest son with his two children yesterday. Sil played football most of the day with GS. DD fed them. GS1, their father sorted out a couple of things on my IPad for me and took all the furniture out of my sunroom so that I can chase all the spiders out and clean it.

Gemini, I hope your DD has seen a medic now, such a worry with babies,they can’t tell you how they feel.

I have cleaned the sunroom, Sil put the furniture back and am now inside enjoying the sunshine, bit windy so it is lovely in here. There is a hole in one of the blankets, presumably now in a mice’s nest.

Plant, they did get to see a Dr today, after the initial phone call. Their practice (which isnt the one I am with) has been very good at seeing the baby quickly, and DD herself when she was so poorly when the baby was new. He has a red ear and a temperature so they have given him antibiotics. All the boys in the family now have ear problems

I hope you and your friend got your hair cut Oma.

Daisy, pub lunch in lovely thatched cottage enjoying the sunshine sounds perfect

We had a lovely afternoon with golf ladies at a country house hotel. Afternoon tea for 7 in the conservatory. It was so sunny and warm. DD did her bit and picked up 2 ladies who live nearby to give them a lift.

It was only Dorothy having her hair cut i had mine done a couple of weeks ago ,
Hairdresser did her hair then we all had a cup of tea and chatted till after 1 pm ,
She only left as she had to go to the bank ,
D&J left shortly after then GS1 came at 4 for his tea and left at 6.30 to go play golf with his friend .
So it’s been a full day .

What is it with your boys all with ear infections , poor baby he must feel miserable.

Morning all.
Awake at sparrows cough this morning !
I have just brought the milk in from off the doorstep and it's quite warm outside.

Early this morning OH has his 4 yearly (!) check up with the Dr. ( It should be every 12 months, but as with everything else, their is a waiting list)
Luckily his appointment is at the GP surgery that is almost on our doorstep which is unusual as we normally have to attend the all singing, all dancing huge GP medical centre that's right at the other end of town.
it's a new centre that has combined 3 different GP practices within one practice. It has an army of staff, nurses stations, scanner rooms etc. In fact it has everything a patient control require except for one very important thing..... appointment slots

Had a bad day yesterday, arthritis was hurting in so many place at once . It now seems to be attacking my hip which is making walking difficult at the moment. I felt extremely tired all day. I had to give in and take a nap in the afternoon.

On Sunday I was able to pick our first 'crop' of salad leaves that are growing in a pot in the garden, not a lot of home grown products compared to what we used to grow years ago but still a success in our little way. Just waiting for the strawberries to get their act together though!


Gem hopefully baby E is feeling better today. Ear infections are horrible. I can remember my nephew having them, what seemed every month or so. He used to be so unwell.
Our 3 DC never had ear infections , which was really surprising as it appears to be quite common in children.

Oma that's really kind of you to have your friend at your home so that she is able to have her hair cut.

Steady on there Mimi, you cant expect actual appointments as well as as all the other wonderful facilities at the new GP centre!!

It's good to get washing out on the line isnt it Nan2? I hate all those months when you can't.

Baby started to feel a lot better last night and was quite cheerful and playful! He's still asleep at the moment.
Things not good with GD at the moment, I will update on YEO at some point.

I am not at the library this morning as I have sports massage booked. The sciatica is almost gone so this will be more for my back generally. After this one I will only book another if and when I need one.
I may call into DD2's one the way back with some flowers. I feel she has been having such a hard time recently and as the 'strong one' in our family a lot falls onto her shoulders.

GS1 from school as usual. OH will be eating at the golf club tonight, so meal for one at our house. I could eat with GS but I don't really feel like eating at 5 usually.

Mimi, that is early to wake up, 8.30 for me. Our surgery has combined with another practice and built an all singing, all dancing surgery but fortunately our practice has kept our village surgery which I am very pleased about. I hope you are not in so much pain today.

Good morning, it looks lovely here until you get out into the wind! So different to yesterday, never mind, we can't change the weather.

Gem, pleased your sciatica isn't as painful, about the GS, a lot of children, babies get the ear problems, I can't remember my sons having it but I do know GD1 had to have tubes? fitted.

My head is clearing, be it slowly. DS1 was on the phone and he has the same, allergy problems!

We went to the pool yesterday. My friend wasn't there as she has a bad shoulder, we are going out for lunch on Thursday though, they will pick me up, I always enjoy going out with them!

Daisy, I hope it is warmer for you than it is here.

I got my holiday money from my old age pension today, a 13 month they call it, always very handy!

Lizzie, its not very often i do an online supermarket shop,but we didn't go on saturday.
I have had a good stock up of non perishable items.
Bought some jersey royal potatoes,don't know why,because for the last few years i've been complaining they don't taste like they used to do.

Evening ladies , it’s been a long long day .
I have been in Hospital since 8am only got out at 6pm

Felt Ill again during the night breathing was really bad ,
I have had every test they could throw at me , Chest X-rays so many bloods taken that my veins decided to hide and they couldn’t get blood out of two cannulas so Dr ended up putting a cannula straight into the artery on my wrist ,

Nothing was showing up so Dr decided that they would do a CT scan on my chest incase of small blood clots ,
It showed no blood clots but infact I have Fluid around my heart that wasn’t picked up on my Angiogram.

They allowed me to come home once they were happy my oxygen levels were ok and they are ringing me tomorrow with a time to go in for another Echogram some more tests and a decision on what they are going to do .
It could be tomorrow or Thursday I just have to be ready to go down .

Im so relieved they are finally finding a reason for how Ill I feel .
We came in I took two headache tablets and put my PJs on , I’m tired hungry and have two very sore arms .

Oma, poor you, a lady from the pool has been in the hospital a few days with similar, fluid round her heart, I have just received a message that she is home now and resting, I hope that the same goes for you.

You will have sore arms, I hope you get a good nights sleep and let B look after you.xxxx
