My god we have the storm of all storms , thunder lightning and torrential rain the drains can’t cope they are overflowing,
Our Garden is flooded and we now have hailstones

Jesus even I got a fright at that thunder clap , it shook the house .
Poor cats will be frantic but we can’t get out in it to go to them it’s too heavy 😱

Oma, that sounds really bad! We still have it warm and dry, how long for I do not know. I have just got front windows done so could rain later on.

How did the school fete go? I’m not sure if you said or not 😁

Oma, it was WET. Torrential rain the majority of the time. It was very busy though so hopefully a lot of funds were made. I took my folding chair and after a quick look round settled myself in one of the marquees. GS at 7 is able and happy to go around doing his own thing and coming back to me every so often. Apart from driving her there I had no responsibility for GD at 13! She was off with her friend. My ticket, supplied by DD, gave me a free drink so I sat with my summer Pimms sheltering from the rain SIL queued up for sausage sandwiches for us all. We didn't let the rain dishearten us!

Been to see to cats , Buzz wasn’t bothered he even tried to get outside , but poor Talulah I couldn’t find her , she was hiding and wouldn’t come out .
Its stopped for now so she will come out of hiding when she feels safe ,
She usually hides in Josh’s wardrobe .

I have cleaned all insides of windows up and down and all the mirrors this afternoon, just need the window cleaner to come this week and do outsides ,
Its still stuffy despite the rain .

            Gem
It sounds like it was fun regardless and a Pimm’s ’ s as a bonus, can’t complain can you

My goodness Oma, what Storm you had There was one whilst we were at the concert, we could see it through the skylight windows in the concert hall. Nowhere bear as bad as yours though.

Lizzie its scary when you lose your bank card. I once left mine at Asda pay-at-pump paypoint,! Thank goodness some honest customer had handed it in.

This morning's concert was lovely, as it always is. They all work so hard. Some are visibly nervous but they put themselves out there and perform.
We had a good chatty lunch out afterward, 9 of us
We didn't even get wet as the rain came while we were inside.

Home now. OH is catching up on Wimbledon coverage. I am pottering online then will read.

I decided to go shopping for food but went to the Co-op which is quite close, manage to miss the rain and wind. I have been watching the tennis this afternoon, men’s doubles atm, they are so fast I can’t follow the ball.

Hello, everyone. We got back home just after lunch and managed to empty most things out of the caravan despite the best efforts of the rain and wind to wash and blow us away! I'll read back over the last couple of days tomorrow, and I'll write about our holiday as well. (Reading about it is not compulsory! The main news will be rain and various calamities!)

                    Windy this morning.

                    Welcome home Daisy.

Thunderstorms were forecast yesterday, but we didn't get one, not in Wakefield anyway. There was a bit of a shower but not much. We were in The Ridings when it. rained.
                    We enjoyed our day out.

                    No plans for today.

Not doing a big dinner today. Jacket potatoes on the menu, they are very big ones so we are going to share one, hubby has asked for rhubarb pie and custard for afters.

Lizzie it's scary when your bank card isn't where it should be.
A few weeks ago I found one in Asda car Park. I took it to customer services and she said oh not another one.
Mentioned it on a local Facebook group. Don't know if anyone claimed it or not.

                        Morning Nanto/ Ladies
We had torrential rain all night but this morning is bright and dry ,
The plants have stood up to the rain wind and hailstones rather well considering how bad it was .

DD and clan got home in the early hours ,
We meeting up with SILs parents this morning for coffee and handing over of Storm , DD will pick him up from ours later today .

Apart from towels in the wash there isn’t much to do today ,
I will need to wash the front door step down all the rain has splashed the sand from the block pavings all over it and that stuff gets everywhere , we don’t have a step it’s a flat run from the drive into the house so nothing to stop it splashing .

Hope everyone has a good day ,

                          Good morning all.

My nanna used to make rhubarb pie Nan2. That takes me back!

Welcome home Daisy. I hope you have dried out! I look forward to reading about your holiday when you have time.

It was wet wild and windy all night long. It seems a little calmer now.

My only plan today is going with DD1 to see GS1 in a play from his drama group at 6pm.
SIL is going too. DD hopes he won't sit with us but I imagine he will .

Not much planned here, I shall watch the men’s final at Wimbledon apart from that no plans. Sun out atm, we are having all weather conditions in one day.

Gemini, enjoy watching the drama group play.

I expect Storm will be pleased to see DD and Sil although he has had a lovely time with you

Nanto, love your graphic, where do you find them?
