We made £91.
It started fine but the rain became very heavy. I'm pleased we raised so much as the rain can put people off. We Yorkshire folk are a hardy lot though
Plant there used to be a carnival queen but I'm not sure if there still is .
I got myself a hot dog from one stall and some delicious home made carrot cake from another. I was considering an ice cream later but the rain put paid to that. There were people queuing in the rain for ice creams though!

OH cooked one of my favourites for tea tonight, chicken in tarragon sauce

Sunny for now, i think there is quite a bit of rain forecast this week.
Last night we had a humdinger of a storm. It started about 9ish and lasted for a good hour.

Oma, the boys look like they were all very happy.

BBQ was cancelled at Tommie's party,due to the weather.
It was sandwiches and the usual party food.
I'm not fussed over sandwiches unless its very thin bread.
Everybody had a good time and a good natter.

Does H know Mummy & Daddy are coming home this morning they will be tired from the long flight.

We had a lot of rain last night , not as heavy as we expected but it bashed my Dahlia’s a bit ,
Lots of wet petals to pick up this morning .

Took Storm out for a walk just after 6am , just as well I didn’t bump into anyone with my bleary eyes and bed hair .
I just threw some clothes on hadn’t even been in the shower .
I would have scared young children 😁

DD has arranged for a dog walker from tomorrow , she thinks because I fainted a couple of weeks ago I’m not up to it ,
I know she’s only looking after me but I’m not a old doddery woman I’m capable of walking the dog ,
B said she’s just worried about me after the past few month not being well , but I’m fine now 🙄

House work done Towels in wash bathroom cleaned not much else to do now ,

Having a dog walker is good Oma, at least you don’t have to frighten anyone with your bed hair. I expect my DD has told H her mummy and daddy will be here soon but she probably wouldn’t understand. I have wondered what her little brain thinks about not having mummy and daddy for a week, even when she sees them on face time.

Nanto, what a shame about the BBQ but at least the family were together to celebrate Tommie’s birthday. Nice pic of him with his mum and dad.

Good Sunday morning, everyone. We arrived ok in a downpour but it stopped quite quickly and we got set up ok. It’s a nice site, very pretty and lots of trees - a bit of a home from home for us! We woke up to rain again this morning and Eva and I are still drying off! 🤣

No wi fi but a good phone signal. 👍

I have just cleaned all the windows inside and the back ones outside, I will do the front when it cools down this week, there is rain forecast later, it isn't very often it hits our windows.

GD back, H, when she saw her said, mummy , mummy, mummy and now will not leave her alone. Strange what goes through young children’s minds. Her daddy has had to go and see his grandma, she is very poorly.

DD SIL GS and DDs friend went on holiday today , arrived safely then about two hours later her friend got a phone call to say her beloved step Dad had died ,
They were expecting it but such bad timing ,
Her mother told her not to come home there is nothing she can do and she will be home well before the funeral.

This man has brought her up from a young child she loves him dearly so it’s hard for her .
DD said she’s had a good cry but as he has been so poorly for a long time and in pain she’s glad he’s at peace .
So sad .

I went to Sainsbury's this afternoon and bought a chicken. We are having roast chicken tonight.
