Oma, I'm glad you decided to go out for a meal after all. It saved B cooking. . What did you have?
What a pity abut the lilies, but they will be fine outside at this time of year. I hope they can get the car charger sorted out ok.
Dog training did go ahead, and unlike last week, Eva was fine. All the dogs were a bit jumpy to start with. I don't know if the room smelled different to them (ok to us!) or if it was because one dog wasn't being handled by her owner and was giving off puzzled vibes. Eva was fine sitting between two dogs she knows well, but less sure of herself when around the dog with a different handler.
My GS2 had his Sixth Form Prom last night. I think it was a good night as he slept until 4 o'clock this afternoon!

we had a roast dinner proper rich gravy nice veg and meat and home made yorkshire pud , couldn't manage a dessert was too full .
Prom time is so important for them isn't it, will you get to see photos? Well the ones he can show Grandma anyway before they got drunk đ„Ž
Josh has his in a few weeks already got his suit .
Lucie his girlfriend will be on holiday that week so won't be there .
The dogs probably could still smell whatever they used for the fly problem , they have such sensitive noses , glad Eva was a good girl x
I can't sleep because of foot cramps so I will be tired tomorrow .
Ooh good choice of birthday dinner Oma. I hope the cramp settled.
Prom is quite a big thing now isn't it Daisy. No such thing when my DDs were at school.
GS3 all day today. I have the washing on early so I can get it all hung out before he arrives. He's such a quick crawler now that unless OH is here I can't leave him to get on with anything unless he is napping in the cot OH has already left for golf.

Good Thursday morning, everyone. We had rain overnight, after I'd spent an hour watering the garden!
Gem, have a lovely day with GS3. I'm sure he keeps you on your toes, but what a delightful age he is. I bet there's something new every time you see him. I hope S has a good day on the golf course. I think our DSs had leaving parties after GCSEs, but even 20+ years ago we had a Leavers' Ball at college post A-levels. It was always held at a nice venue and staff were very involved in making sure nothing untoward happened.
Oma, Poor you. I hope you get a nana nap later. Dinner sounded delicious, no wonder you couldn't manage pudding. Yes, the Proms are a rite of passage these days, aren't they. We've only seen photos of GD2 looking smart in his new suit and setting off for his prom with Mum at the wheel! What a pity Lucie will miss their prom.
Nanto, thank you for the lovely bouquet for today's graphic. Enjoy a relaxed day.
I'm out for lunch today - meeting old college friends at the golf club. We're never sure how many will turn up for these get togethers, but they're always fun. OH has both the dentist and the hygienist this afternoon.

Good morning, cooler at last, no rain as yet, they forecast it for Saturday when DS1 and family have their yearly beach party! It is from DIL's work, very well organised and they will be able to stay dry.
GD2 is on her way here on her bike to keep me company!
DS2 phoned, we are going to a friends surprise party on Saturday evening, he asked if they could eat here before we go, I said it would be fine. Both GD"s will arrive whilst I am at the party, I will either give them keys or my friend next door will let them in.
Gem, have a nice weekend, have you heard anymore about I's dog?
Oma, you would be full after eating a meal like that. I am allergic to lilies, but, the neighbour under here has the most beautiful show of lilies, I am wondering if that is why I am feeling so lousy all week! It could easily be.
I don't think they do proms here, not really sure.
I have ordered a dress for the party, I can go and pick it up, it could easily be returned as well, I will see what it is like.
So much for an easy day. I washed a load of lights and they dried lovely.
Then, i got the grass cut and went straight in the shower when i had finished.
We have dined, but it will be cuppa time soon.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.
Lizzie
Hope you like the dress for the party
Something nice to look forward too ,
Hope the rain hold off for the beach party people xx
Gem
They into everything once they are crawling you canât leave them for a minute can you , but they are adorable and you could just kiss their little cheeks all day đ„°đ„°đ„°

Sodâs Law you spend all that time watering the plants and it rains đđ
Hope your lunch was good .
MIL was her usual cheery self , Hates her life , hates her perm , hates the hairdresser ( sheâs had the same hairdresser for past 10 years )
Quarrelled with the window cleaner yesterday she asked him to hang her new washing line out and he didnât do it right ,
He told her to hang it herself then he was there to do her windows not be a handyman ,
She wasnât happy about it .
Then she told the gardener he wasnât cutting the grass right , itâs more moss than grass god knows what she expects him to do .
B took the washing line down and re hung it to her liking ,
His Sister had taken it on Monday and offered to hang it she said No ,
I asked why she wouldnât let her , her reply was because sheâs left handed ? đ
B said no Mam Iâm left handed but even if she was it makes no different how you hang a washing line .
Honestly anything to make life difficult .
Put 4 meals in the freezer and left one out for tonight so she has plenty to see her through till Monday at least ,
we didnât stay long she wasnât a pleasure to visit today ,
We stay a lot longer when she is pleasant so wouldnât you think she would realise that .
Came home did the ironing then me and B cleaned the drive of any weeds and gave it a brush
Having a rest now .
We had a lovely time today - there were just 5 of us for lunch, but that was fine as we find it easier to include everyone in a conversation. When there are 8 or 10 we often seem to be chatting in little groups and then you realise you haven't really spoken to someone at the other end of the table!
After lunch I went into town to do a bit of shopping - mostly unsuccessful though. A couple of shops had worryingly empty shelves. I called into DS2 and DIL's shop and had a chance to catch up with DIL - I felt I'd hardly seen her at the barbecue on Sunday.
Our dentists is very socialable - everyone chats to everyone else, and OH was chatting to the hygienist today. She had been to Glastonbury and said Elton John really was amazing and so was the atmosphere. The chat with the dentist was less fun - he (OH, not the dentist) has got to have a wisdom tooth out.
Plant, I bet you and your friend had plenty of catching up to do.
Lizzie, what is the dress like? Surprise parties are fun. Have you and GD2 been out shopping today?
Gem, how lovely to see GS3's progress like that. It won't be long before he's walking, then the fun will rack up a notch. You won't even be able to blink. It's not so long since you had GD2 as a toddler, but I found with my GS1 I had to GS1-proof the house before he arrived - everything from the dog bowl to the wine rack and loads of things in between. He was a climber so things really had to be out of sight, not what we might have considered 'out of reach'!
Nanto, so much for your lazy day! Still at least everything dried ok.
Oma, honestly, you could write a book about your MIL's complaints. I'm sure she feels justified about all of them, but claiming the washing line had been hung wrong is classic. If she's not careful she'll need a new window cleaner!

Hallo everyone, we had a very busy afternoon, we went on bikes to TKMaxx in the next town, came home and got the last stuffed doll made, at last!!! She ate here and went home in one of my jackets as it came in really dull, cleared now though and she messaged to say she got home ok. Oh, managed to order a skirt for her for her holidays!!!
Now DS1 messaged me to see if I can find another bike for GD1 on our Ebay, I have found a few and see what they think, it isn't worth buying new ones for them. The one she has was new though when she was about 11 years old and much shorter than she now is. She had a BBQ for a final day at school today. image.pngâimage.pngâI haven't got it yet as we didn't have time!!!
