    Morning Ladies

    Daisy
what a busy day you had .
I donโ€™t own any scales I threw them out years ago but ithink I would have gone with my own too ๐Ÿ˜

    Glamm
Your DD works long hours doesnโ€™t she that holiday will do her good
Nice to have cuddles with the baby , they funny at that age ๐Ÿ˜

    Gem
So pleased you managed to get Aunty out , I bet she enjoyed herself
Did you have a meal or a cream tea .

    Nanto
Same happened with MILs blinds , they were supposed to be washable ,
Put them in a pillow case and when they came out all the edges had frayed and they were out of shape .
Tried laying them flat on a sheet in the sun to dry but there was no saving them .

We going to Garden centre this morning ,
Im still looking for the right plant to replace my Jasmin that has lost its leaves and looking very sick .
I intend putting it in a pot and giving it some TLC see if I can revive it , not giving up on it just yet .

My intentions today was to cut the grass,to tidy it up,but the weather says no.
Not to worry, i can always find something to do inside.

Thinking i was going to be busy, menu was frozen chicken tikka for hubby and a cheese omelette for me.
I'm going to stick with those now.

Daisy, hope you have an easier day today.

Good morning everyone, it is still so hot and humid here, thunder forecast for later on in the day.

I had a busy day yesterday with the coffee and the aqua, our nice young man that has done the lessons for 7 or 8 years is leaving!!! After the school holidays we will have to get used to someone else.

I just received a message from the young lady in the apartments down from us, she had cancer of the bowel and had an operation on June 6th, they also removed 36 lymph nodes, she had to go for the results on Friday and it wasn't good news, they have found cancer cells in the nodes so they are hoping to stop the cancer spreading by starting her on chemo, poor woman, she is only 57 years old, just lost her sister to the same cancer and now she has to go through it all!!!

I have olive trees on the balcony, I have never seen so much blossom and pollen, my balcony is covered every time I walk outside. I have moved the trees or my neighbours would be complaining!

If GD1 comes we are going to have a bike ride to TK Maxi. She just phoned, she is almost here.

          Good morning everyone.

A bit wet for grass cutting if it's like it is here Nan2.

A productive day for you Daisy!

It's so sad about your friend Lizzie, I hope treatment helps her.
We do get attached to our aqua teachers don't we?

Your jasmine may survive Oma, fingers crossed!
We had lunch out with auntie ( smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwich for her and S, baked potato with coronation chicken for me) I bought a yummy sticky ginger cake from the farm shop there and we all had slice of that with a cuppa back at auntie's

Library this morning, GS1 from school this afternoon. That's my day!

Donโ€™t think you will get the grass cut today , I think we are all in for rain ,
B not happy he wanted to paint more of the fence ,

            Lizzie
Your poor neighbour , I hope they have removed all the lymph nodes they need and she responds well to chemo .
Enjoy your day with the GD xx

            Gem
Sounds like a nice lunch , I would have chosen the Jacket potato ,
I like a salmon but not smoked I think itโ€™s the texture.

Been to garden centre , chose a small bay tree itโ€™s a slow grow so should be ok in that spot and gives a bit more height
So many to choose from but as itโ€™s a tiny plot I canโ€™t put anything too big in there or anything that will spread .

Its coming in very dark the rain is heading this way I think .

Slow getting up today, I donโ€™t like this heavy thundery weather. GD3 loves her cousins but she took herself off to a corner of the garden with a blanket and her newly acquired sunglasses and lay there on her own for some time, I think she was tired. Car passed MOT, flying colours!

Gemini, I am sure your Auntie enjoyed your visit, lunch there sounds good.

Oma, bay tree sounds good, very slow growing. Mine gets a horrid, white, very small, cocoon containing a grub which eats the leaves. I squash them when I see them.

Glamm, I hope you get some nice new neighbours. Pleased you had some cuddle time with baby, they change very quickly donโ€™t they.

                Good Tuesday morning everyone.

Gem, our posts crossed last night - I'm glad your Auntie was able to go out with you and I'm sure she loved every minute. The food sounds delicious and I would have probably wanted both choices! .

Lizzie, what a shame your nice aqua instructor is leaving. I hope is replacement is just as nice. Such sad new for your neighbour. I hope the cancer hasn't spread beyond the nodes they have removed. I love olive trees, and yours sound wonderful. I'd love to see a photo if possible.

Oma, poor B having an enforced rest from painting the fence. The bay tree will be perfect - are they edible bay leaves? It sounds as though you're having a stormy day with the weather.

Plant, it's lovely when you don't have to rush about first thing in the morning. Take your time and enjoy. I can just picture little H with her new sunglasses. I thought your car would pass - you look after it very well - but there's always that niggling worry that something obscure might go wrong.

I had an early (for me) start with a hygienist appointment. She doesn't want to see me again for 9 months - help, I can't need a 2024 diary already!! We had a good amount of rain overnight and the garden looks much fresher as a result. It's also much cooler today so I'll get some cooking done ready for the week-end. It's DS1's birthday next Monday and all the family are coming here for a barbecue on Sunday. I think I'll get the cake made, plus need to do liver for Eva's treats. That dog is so spoiled! If I get bored there's always the ironing, and better to do it today than when it's hot.

It looks lovely on your balcony Lizzie!

I agree with Plant Daisy. You'll never get bored enough for ironing!

The rain here has been torrential. OH arrived home from her golf competition looking like a drowned rat!
I was dry in the library but had to wait for a slight lull to dash to the car under cover of my umbrella. On the short drive home it became torrential again and I sat on the drive for 10 minutes waiting for a less wet time to leave the car.
I'm waiting for GS1 now and at present there is no rain.

Thanks Gem, it is very dull here with thunder in the distance, but. still dry.

GD1 came back with me after going to TKMaxx, busy applying for work for when she goes to college, there is a new Lidl opening near them so she (we) applied, very official, I have just had a call from her she has an interview here in the village on Monday, she won't mind working here either so we will keep our fingers crossed!

                          Lizzie,balcony looks lovely.

We've had quite a bit of rain today. I've missed not being able to sit in the garden.

Seeing as i couldn't do the grass this morning, i dusted/polished and hoovered downstairs.
Then, i cleaned the dishwasher, washing machine and the fridge.
Also tidied the the drawers in the freezer.

Lizzie, thank you for the photos of your beautiful balcony. Your olive trees look wonderful and I love those pots. You look quite high p - do you have trouble with it being very windy, or is it quite sheltered? I hope your GD gets the job - I'm sure she'd enjoy working so close to your home.

Gem, Nanto and Oma, it sounds as though you won't have to water tonight! We haven't had any rain during the day - just last night - but it has been noticeably cooler until the sun came out this afternoon. It also cooled down this evening - I put a thin fleece on to take Eva out about 8.30.

Nanto, you did well with getting jobs done today.

Plant, I have to be bored or desperate to do the ironing, although once I get going it's quite satisfying and at least I've got something to show for my efforts. In the end I did about half an hour - still plenty left. But I cooked liver treats for Eva, and after lunch the sun was shining so I did some gardening.

Good morning, Daisy, the pots are nice, one blew over in a storm years ago so I keep them sheltered now, it can get windy at times on the balcony but not very often. I live on the 5th floor, not high compared to some! The pots were dark brown then I discovered special paint at B&Q a few years ago, I paint them each summer, I have just done them, it is a question of lightly sanding then just covering them.

We had no rain, some parts of the Netherlands did, we got the dark clouds and wind at 4pm, then, it cleared, no rain at all.

Gem and Nanto, the rain must have fallen in Yorkshire! Sorry Oma, you got some as well.

DS1 will be home from South Africa next week then they go away on the 8th July to Croatia.

I hope to get the class in this morning, heat permitting!
