Oma, I've been meaning to ask how is GS1 doing with revision and exams? As you know my GS2 is the same year, and he's nearly finished and will be glad to have all the revision over. Then it's just the nail-biting wait for results, isn't it. I know your GS is a good student and I'm sure he'll get top grades, but I still think it can be an anxious time.

Gem, your poor Auntie. It sounds as though her leg has been giving her problems for a while, but I'm glad she's feeling a bit better - but she's a very strong lady isn't she. I bet she thoroughly enjoyed your company yesterday, and the food looked amazing on FB.

Nanto - you've still got the rhubarb to look forward to then, and you got some chores done. Does your OH's pal live alone?

Plant, I hope you escaped the rain today! I hate dressing up, so I sympathise with those who didn't wear red white and blue, although I did wear blue jeans, a red jumper and a blue and white scarf thingy in my hair. The Coronation concert was really enjoyable, but I don't know who the lady you mention was.

I'll write about this afternoon on the Coronation thread.

The rain hasn’t let up here either .

GS came for his Full English stayed a couple hours .
I did a dark wash this morning and got it ironed after lunch .

Trying to get B to part with a jumper that is past it’s best , it’s all bobbly and the bottom is going baggy but he loves it .
It might accidentally fall in the bin when it’s emptied next week

He insists there’s years of wear in it yet 🙄

Morning all, at the moment its not raining but I'll not hold my breath that it lasts

Got hairdresser appointment this afternoon . Not looking my best at the moment

Oma I remember a polo shirt OH brought from C and A ( remember them ?) and although it was nice at the start I got sick of seeing him in it .He practically lived in it . The only time it wasn't on his back was when it was in the wash.
One day I 'accidentally ' donated it to charity and would you believe it, from that day to this he hasn't even mentioned it, he hasn't missed it at all.

As it rained all day yesterday I caught up with a few fiddly jobs that I had been putting off, example... sewing, I hate sewing but a few repairs had to be done . In the afternoon I sat down with a gin and tonic in hand and watched Sunday night's Coronation concert and I throughly enjoyed it, apart from Lionel Richie. His vocals weren't very good and what has he done with his face ?
My new Skechers trainers arrived yesterday, they are incredibly lightweight, with an arch support and, I didn't realise when I ordered them, they are slip-on, they have laces but its just for show .
I have had Skechers before and never been disappointed with them.

Lunch today will be, um, let me think. I have a few rashes of bacon in the fridge along with cooked chicken drumsticks, salad leaves, mushrooms and 4 small corn on the cob and they all need using up. Lunch will be interesting today!
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

              Good Tuesday morning , everyone.

Nanto, what a cut graphic. I wonder what those kitties are singing?

Oma, good look with the operation to separate B from his favourite jumper! Nanto, you can't win when OH says it's "comfy" he's going to keep wearing it. Mimi, yes I remember C&A, and also "Casual Club" from Debenhams. I washed a t-shirt of OH's a couple of days ago from CC. The collar is so worn it's almost falling off, but he won't part with it. It is what he calls a 'scruff' - that means he can get oil, mud, wood stain splashes, and anything else you can think of on it, and it saves him messing up his 'best' things. Most of his best things pre-date the 21st Century, and he's still got a wardrobe of smart shirts which he will never wear again, but won'g part with. I sometimes sneak a few out and hide them in the airing cupboard, but he doesn't seem to miss them! Next stop - recycling bin!

I've totally lost track of what is in our fridge, apart from salad stuff and eggs. We're out of routine with food at the moment, but I'll use up stuff by date tonight, whatever it might be.

After yesterday's awful rain, it's dry this morning, but the ground is too wet to garden. I've got my annual blood test later this morning, but that's all.

Family back late last night, DD has just been in for some milk. They had a dreadful journey from the docks, so much rain. Ex Guiders meeting this afternoon, I am feeling tired after my day with GD and H yesterday but I shall make the effort and go.

I remember C&A used it quite a lot in my younger days. We didn’t have a Debenhams near but we did have Bentalls.

I love it imagining all you ladies ferreting away your OH’s shabby clothes.

                      I liked C&A as well.

Daisy, hope all is well with the blood test.

Sun is still shining. Tidying up while waiting for hubby to get home. We are going to cut the grass and make sure things are tidy out there.

C&A in our town was the meeting point for first dates , everyone arranged to meet there 😁
Germany still have C&A in Hamburg MIL drags us there whenever we visit family .

everyone seems to be using up leftovers today ,
we were just saying we have mushrooms and bacon rashes plus tomatoes that need using and a few new potatoes , I suggested a mixed omelette with boiled new potatoes , it would use up those bits .

Been to Dunelm this morning for a new Duvet ,
ours has gone a bit lumpy so have to keep shaking it to get it even .

I bought a nice throw a cream teddy bear soft one , it’s mainly to put over me if I have a nap

The sun keeps popping out but it then threatens rain ,
I want to spray the weeds on the drive , there isn’t many but I like to keep on top of them ,
No use if it’s going to rain though .

Good morning, we have C&A here, I did read that there in a huge one opening in Rotterdam, it could be open already.

Rain here, all day long it is forecast, I have cleaned all the doors etc so they are now shining again!

DS1 was here the other day and was very impressed with the crocheted throw I bought.

You have the rain now Lizzie!

I ate too much hummus for lunch and am suffering now Sometimes it's easy to forget that your body doesn't like something which you love!

DD is coming for GS a bit earlier as they are walking home.
OH is at a meeting, probably back around 7. Friends are due at 8 but we are not feeding them.
