Plant, yes I am going to have to pay for my treatment. I can't even get a referral to see anyone on the NHS. Then the wait for the op would be very long once I was seen. York Health authority won't operate on anyone with a BMI over a certain number, which include me.
When you go private no one is even remotely interested in your weight or BMI!! It wasn't mentioned at all. I will try to lose a little over the next couple of months though.
It's really blighting my life and impacting all areas of it. I will be 70 next year and I want to enjoy my later years!

GS went off happily to his club. He had wanted his mum to pick him up before the end, but he messaged her to say not to, so he must be enjoying it!

How lovely to hear from you , we have all wondered how you were ,
Hope your being kind to yourself Chemo is draining in all ways ,
Bet your GD was pleased they found out what was wrong with her , hopefully once her meds kick in she will feel so much better ,
Fingers crossed for GSs results , as Daisy said we also have GSs waiting
All nervous no doubt , my GS is off to Leeds Uni in September to study music .

      Plant
      poor H but I bet it’s not bothering her , she’s a little whirlwind isn’t she 😁

      Gem
I don’t blame you going private , I think the NHS uses BMI as a excuse not to do things , my neighbours DD couldn’t get a hysterectomy on the NHS because of her weight , she went private and had it done within 3 weeks .
Wrong you should have to do that but needs must when your in pain all the time and it’s impacting your life.

      Daisy
Cleaning the Dyson is a job and a half ,
We have a Dyson Ball as well as. Dyson stick and a Vax Stick ,
GS is taking the Dyson ball with him so B stripped it down and gave it a good clean
it’s amazing how much collects in the filter things isn’t it .

We have been in the garden putting wire across a section of the fence to support the grape vine ,
It didn’t do anything last year and looked dead so I cut it right back in the spring and now it’s shooting up so needed the right support .

Im so pleased I didn’t give up on my Jasmine it obviously didn’t like the spot in the boarder ,
I put it in a pot and put fertiliser in and the leaves are lovely and glossy again and it has buds on .
In the border the leaves went brown and dropped off , the ones it managed to keep looked sad ,

Lovely to see Clover popping in.

Daisy, not sure just what she has broken.I should know more tomorrow.
I was speaking to her earlier on,but she got a call from the fracture clinic.
When she did it yesterday they put her a boot on,but they were were changing it for a shoe today, because her ankle wasn't damaged.

Plant, i don't brown the meat first, although i know some people do.
I put everything in together and let it cook on high, until its done.
This will depend on the size of your veggies and meat.
When i see it start to boil i like to give it a stir, but i don't lift the lid off too often.

Gem, glad GS seemed to enjoy the youth club.

Good morning from a very stormy Netherlands, a red code for our area and no Schiphol plan to close all strips between 9 and 11 am, nice, DS1 and DIL landing at 2pm but I expect it will be much later!

Gem, you will be pleased to get your knee done, I hope it all goes well.xxx

Oma, you will be pleased the plants are doing so well now.

Clover, nice to hear from you and that you finished with the chemo. I have thyroid problems, had it for years, it seems to be balanced now with the medicine I take at the moment. I have regular blood tests to get it checked.

Plant, I expect baby H is so used to you all that she thinks she lives with you!

Nanto, I hope all goes well with your SIL. As for the slow cooker, I usually brown first but will give your method a try.

We (I) had a very busy day yesterday, I went to the gym and one of the regulars has a cycle repair unit in the next village, I asked him about a tyre, new sparks etc in GD1's old bike so that GD2 can use it. He said he was busy before going on holiday on Friday but if I got it to him at 10am he would do it. Luckily the bike carrier is still on the car so GD2 and myself got it there, came home and went on our bikes to next village, the man messaged whilst we were there that it was ready, so off we went again. He got it all altered for her size, we came home, had lunch then went and cleaned it up, it looks really good now, I had ordered new hand grips and they arrived yesterday, between us we got them fixed, I must say GD2 enjoys doing things like that. She did say "nan, you have so many tools"! I have a workbench full of them!!! GD1 was at a friends so just the 2 of us all afternoon, I had to go and get my hair done at 5pm, we finished the bike and off I went again, luckily we had ordered chicken legs for tea, GD2 went to pick them up at 5-30pm and said he was completely sold out so it is a good thing we ordered them. I was back home at 6pm along with GD1, I had already prepared a salad, GD2 had got French bread on her way home so we had a lovely meal.

I shall see what today brings! Fysio at 9am.

            Sunny this morning.

Lizzie, the weather sounds bad in your part of the world. Wonder if it will head our way.
That was a busy day for you yesterday.

Hubby pulled some rhubarb yesterday, so I'm going to do a pie and a crumble. Both will probably be going in the freezer.
I think I have some darks to wash, so I'll get those going.
            I'll be back later.

Good Wednesday morning, everyone. We've had quite a lot of rain last night and overnight and our poor Hydrangea "Annabelle" is looking very sorry for herself - all the lovely huge flowers are weighed down and some stems have broken. There's patchy sun now, so hopefully she will dry out a bit and perk up!

Hairdresser for me later this morning and then a quick lunch before dog training. I forgot to make liver treats for Eva yesterday so I've chopped up some cheese and put it in the freezer. She loves cheese so it's no hardship for her!

OH's kit car building friend is due any minute so I'd better get a move on. Chat later.

                Lizzie
Be careful out and about if the weather is bad and your on your bike.
You will miss the girls when they go home , hope the flight isn’t delayed and they can land safely.

                Nanto

Lovely to hear from Clover yesterday wasn’t it ,

I wonder if Glamms broadband is sorted she was having lots of trouble with it .

Popping to Aldi this morning then I have Cardiologist at 3:20 , most likely discharge me now we know what’s caused all the problems ,
Hate late appointments but got to be thankful for them in this present climate don’t we .

                  Good morning ladies.

Dull here Nan2! We must pick some rhubarb as well.

I hope that weather passes soon Lizzie.
You and the GDs have a lovely time together

Oma I'm glad the Jasmine survived!

Aquafit this morning. It's yet another school strike week ( today and Friday) so GD and GS2 are coming here for the day. OH will hold the fort until I get back.
I have quite a bit ( a lot of it positive) to say about GD. When I get round to it I will update on YEO.

A day of wind and rain yesterday, hope today will be better. I watched some tennis, pleased Andy got through. I had to put some heating on, I couldn’t get warm, my old bones don’t like the cold. I am waiting for a phone call from the doctor, her request, don’t know what she wants to talk to me about, I hope she has found a cure for my psoriasis, pigs might fly!
                      Board games this afternoon.

Lizzie, you do have a wonderful relationship with your GD’s. Pleased the bike is all good and shining, ready for GD to enjoy.

Daisy, I expect Eva will forgive you for not making liver treats, she certainly landed on her four legs when she found you.

Oma, hope all goes well with the Cardiologists appt.

The storm is now heading for Germany, leaving a trail of damage! The worst summer storm ever, gale force 11 in places.

DS1 and DIL have a 2 hour delay, up to now anyway.

The girls have helped me clean my kitchen cupboards, on their knees which I can't do anymore, plus, I have had dry needling in my shoulder and have to rest it.

Morning all. A Sunny morning here in South Wales but some very dark clouds lurking.

I am being very brave today and going to the theatre on my own this afternoon. I’ve been to the cinema on my own before but never the theatre. I’m going to see “Blood Brothers” I’ve seen it before years ago and know it’s quite sad at the end so I’m prepared .
When I went to stay with DD recently we went to London(30 minutes on the train) to see “Fortysecond Street “ at Sadler’s Wells . We had to walk 20 minutes from station in the heat and DD and GD walk at a hundred miles an hour so I was quite relieved to sit in the cool theatre! The show was wonderful ,so energetic.

I hope everyone has a good day .

Oh I love Blood Brothers Clover! It is sad at the end but very good.
It IS brave to go on your own, good for you. I sometimes go alone and the only thing I miss is someone to chat to in the interval.
I saw 42nd Street as a live streaming from a London theatre to a local cinema. I enjoyed it very much.
We could be cinema and theatre buddies if we lived near to each other Clover

Enjoy the games afternoon Plant. I hope the Dr has something positive to say!

What a storm that was Lizzie

Dull here and none too warm. OH has just cut the lawn before the rain comes. There is actually none forecast but that's hard to believe!
GS and I are happy to stay inside. GD is coming with DD after this afternoon's therapy session and they are staying for tea.

Getting a lot of very dark clouds alternating with sunshine.

Been to sis in law that broke her foot. She's not bad, obviously a bit sore.
She can get about using crutches.
                              We had a lovely natter.

Before we went i made a rhubarb pie and a crumble. In the freezer now.

Dinner was salad with chicken goujons.

Oma, hope the appointment goes well.

Its the same here , I’ve just watered the plants but it looks rather stormy coming over ,

                                Been to Hospital ,
Dr was happy to discharge me ,

we discussed the Rybelsus (semaglutide) he was saying it’s the new weight loss drug and he has heard some unpleasant things about it ,
Didnt make me lose weight 🙄

He hadn’t heard about the side effect I had but as he said always a first and he would make a note of it incase anyone else was to have the same problems .

As he said if nothing else I had a full MOT of my heart and Arteries and apart from a little fluid around the heart that is nothing to worry about I’m ok, everything was healthy.
