Afternoon everyone
MIL wasn't too bad today , she was up and ready for a change as she was going up the street to get her hair done at 12.
Didn't stay long , just did a couple of jobs then went to Aldi and home.

Been feeling a bit off for a few days , very short of breath and a bit light headed and tight chested , tried in- hailer that's not doing much .
I have a phone appointment with the Dr on Tuesday morning about my tremor pills I will mention it to him then see what he says .

Always a worry when the cats go missing especially when its not yours your just looking after it .
Buzz set fire to his tail again yesterday , twice this week he has sat on the candle ,
He just doesn't care , can't see the need for all the fuss when he does it , get so indignant when they jump to put him out

This isn't the first time this has happened , DD never lights them unless someone is in the room because of this but he still climbs on the shelf to get to them'
She has decided Candles will just be for show now

I think what I have is rather than sciatica itself. They are similar but the agonising buttock pain but no real pain down the legs gives it away. Sitting or moving can both be agony. There are specific stretches for it so I am doing those, plus the ice/heat treatments.
Being at the laptop really makes it worse so I am mostly popping online from my phone.

Hallo everyone, I will have a catch up, Oma, the poor cat! I hope you are soon feeling better, there are so many people here with colds, short of breath etc.

Gem, I have never heard of that, it sounds painful. The baby will be growing, 8 months already, I was just chatting to a neighbour and her GS is 6 months now, it was her daughter with a difficult birth etc, all is well now, luckily.

I have just been to DS1 to deliver some cucumbers, they were on offer in the shop here, on my way home I went to see if the grower has them and he has, they are even cheaper, 2 for €1 so I will be getting them from him in the future. I had no cash with me today and he doesn't work with a code.

It has been a lovely day, windy but warm and sunny. I enjoyed the bike ride. I got all my washing dried in the wind, I like days like these.

I went to the "moving better" class this morning, our lady is away and it was another lady, I thought she was from Brazil but it is Morocco, OMG can she move!!!!! Then she told us she takes it easy for us, I told her I wouldn't like to take part in her "fast" class. There were only 4 of us, I think the others saw who was going to give the class and decided against it. I don't know if I will manage it all the summer months as the hall is surrounded by glass and it was very warm this morning.

DS1 told me that DIL has booked the flight so the girls will be here next weekend.

Lizzie, what a lovely week-end you'll have with your GDs. Have you made any plans - or should I say, have the girls made any plans? It sounds as though the move better class was more of a 'move faster' class with the Moroccan lady.

Oma, I'm glad MIL was ok this morning, but I'm concerned you're feeling 'off'. If an inhaler isn't helping with the breathlessness you really should see the doctor for a proper check up. Could it be side effects of the tremor pills? Poor Buzz, his tail looks very singed! You'd think he'd learn, wouldn't you! Mind you, I'm always telling Eva to take better care of her tail - she seems to forget she's got it sometimes! Ouch, your poor DS breaking his nose. Between him and GS2 perhaps they should find a gentler sport than boxing - tiddlywinks, perhaps?

Lunch today was fun. There were 8 of us there and a ninth popped in for a little while. There's always so much catching up to do - one friend has just come back from 6 weeks in South Africa (she has family there), and had lots to tell us. Three more were going on holiday in the next few days, so we were proper globe trotters! Lunch was lovely too. It was beautiful but very windy when we got there, and then the rain came down, in buckets. The beautiful view over the Solent disappeared completely. I was glad I'd taken Eva out this morning, even though it was blowing a gale.

Our shower has broken completely now, and at first the company said they couldn't get anyone out to us until next Wednesday, then they rang back and said an engineer is in our are tomorrow so can do it tomorrow afternoon. Finger crossed!

Oma, are you feeling any better today. Your poor DS , is the broken nose effecting his breathing When OH broke his he made the strangest noises at night. His nose seemed to whistle and pop all night long but thankfully it settled down eventually and he was back to his normal snoring at night!

Last Saturday being a fairly sunny day myself and OH decided that spend some money in the garden.
We had only been outside a few moments when I heard someone cry out. Standing outside our front was our neighbour with her dog and from where I was standing I could see someone lying on the ground.
It was our other neighbour, she had lent forward to stroke the dog and the combined weight of her shopping hanging on her 'walker' and added to the fact that she was on a slope she had fallen forward on to her side banging her arm and knee. The knee she had only just had a knee replacement op a month previously.
Now our neighbour is a fairly large lady so myself and OH weren't able to lift her up. The lady with the dog is in her 80s and was not able to help, so to was the husband of the lady on the floor as he is older and not in the best of health.
I looked around for someone younger and fitter than us and thankfully two neighbours from across the road ran over to help. It took three of us to get her on to her feet and on to a chair
She sat there while one lady examined her bleeding knee while OH went and got a cloth to hold to her knee while I helped her husband, who was shaking from the shock, back home with the shopping.
Eventually she felt strong enough to get back on her feet and with help we got her back home also.

I had a lovely Mother's day. We had lunch at DS and DIL and was thoroughly spoilt!

Waiting for either a phone call or text from GP about a rash across my tummy. It's extremely itchy very red and angry looking, raised slightly but oddly it's in an almost straight line . It sits below where a trouser or skirt waist band would be so it's not from that .

Birds have just started their dawn chorus so there is very little chance of getting back to sleep.

SIS in law and hubby came yesterday afternoon. Only came for an hour,but didn't leave till 6.30.
We didn't mind,we all love each others company.

Just mum's visit this afternoon, calling in for some cream cakes on the way. OH will drive for which I am very thankful.
Heat really sooths my back/bottom and I hope the stretches are helping. I can see now why my auntie got so low when she has this condition (twice in recent years) I am younger and don't live alone, but struggle to imagine I will be able to do anything pain-free again. We told her she would and we were right so I tell myself the same!

I am going down to GD1’s flat to leave her some pots for her tomato seedlings, I like to encourage her, not much else she can grow but she had tiny tomatoes galore last year. Being in a GF flat there is a small garden where she can put a grow bag. H has learnt how to ride a scooter, no stopping her, not the petrol one of course.
This afternoon is the NT meeting, the AGM and a speaker.

Lizzie, I envy you your lovely fresh veg. Will you be making plans what to do with your GD’s next weekend, no doubt they will have some ideas.

DS rang last night again , he has to wait 5 weeks till swelling goes down then go back to have it reset .
I suppose that’s the nature of Boxing a contact sport so these things are going to happen .

Been to Asda this morning then to Lidl ,
Dont feel as breathless today so fingers crossed it’s going whatever it was ,

Took my IPad into the Apple shop as it wasn’t charging , bought two new cables and none worked ,
The young man was filling the forms in for the repair when he said hang on I want to try something ,
He plugged it in and it was fine , turned out not to be the iPad or the leads but the connection plug ,
So instead of a expensive repair it cost us £15 for a new plug , that made B happy .
Im using it now and it’s fine 😁

Good Friday morning everyone. The rain's stopped and the sun is shining.

Nanto, isn't it lovely when you can get together with family and just forget about the time because it goes so quickly!

Mimi, your poor neighbour and her husband. Thank goodness there were enough good neighbours around to help her. I do hope she's ok, not too stiff and, most important, hasn't damaged the knee. Like Plant, I wondered if the rash is shingles - I hope not. It's nice to be spoilt by our children sometimes, isn't it. The hour going forward this week-end might keep those early birds quiet for a bit longer in the morning.

Oma, I hope DS is ok. I don't think they 'set' a broken nose do they. Has he got a lot of bruising as well? I remember J telling me he broke his nose playing cricket before we knew each other. The doctor told him not to play for 6 weeks. Being young and invincible he carried on playing, and got hit again the next week. The second time it pushed his nose back into line! He kept wicket, and they wear face guards now - I can see why! Has GS2's ear healed up ok? How are you feeling today? I don't know, your family needs wrapping up in cotton wool.

Plant, those tiny tomatoes are lovely aren't they. Very tasty. I bet H will enjoy watching them grow and helping. I'm glad they've got a garden - it makes so much difference. My DS2 has planted loads of seeds and he's promised me some when they're ready to transplant. I can just picture H racing round on her scooter with a big smile on her face.

Our shower is fixed! The engineer's just gone. He's replaced the whole unit, so hopefully we won't get suddenly frozen again! The sun and wind are drying up the garden a bit so we'll get some more gardening done later. Supermarket's latest 'star' substitute - 2 tine of very cheap custard instead of short grain rice (which they call pudding rice). I think it's 4 weeks now that we've had odd subs, even though it's shown as in stock on the website. I had a shock last night when doing the order. I know prices are going up all the time, but it was about £50 more than I'd expected. I checked, and I'd been charged £60 for 4 onions. I deleted it, re-entered and sure enough it was £15 for one onion. I changed it to kg, rather than number of items and it was ok. Glad I noticed!

Good morning, Oma, I had that once with my iPhone, the connection plug wasn't working. Pleased you are feeling better today. Your poor DS, a broken nose must be painful.

I have done coffee and plants, I forgot to take a photo of the one I pruned! It looks so good now, I did have my doubts when I stripped it.

I have booked a few days away in June, more of an apartment then a B&B, GD1 will have finished her exams by then, hopefully passed them as well. I have told her if she wants to go with me she is welcome, we are between 2 towns with really good cycling in the area, she thought it was a great idea. I have just phoned the owners, if she is going to go I have to let them know beforehand, I asked if there was a bike hire place locally, I will take my E bike but it is handy if GD1 has one, the lady said she is welcome to use hers, which I thought was very good of her.

Mimi, the poor lady having a fall. I just saw a neighbour of mine, he is 82 I think, he was walking really bad which is unusual for him. He doesn't walk as much as he used to as he has lost his little dog, it could be a case of "use it or lose it"!

Plant, when the GD's are here we planning on going to Delft to the material market and we will have lunch there, GD1 wants a wrap over skirt making and GD2 loves her bags, so, we will have a good look round and see what there is. I hope that the wind has dropped by then.

It's lovely to have a holiday to look forward to, and even more fun if your GD1 can go with you - I can just imagine the two of you exploring everywhere on your ebikes. Hopefully the weather will be kind to you by then.
